    Kind Chiropractic Care
On my first and second appointments at Kind Chiropractic, I saw Dr. Richard Ballard. On subsequent visits, I happened to be there on days when Dr. Ballard was out of the office, so I have been seeing Dr. Richard Kind. I have improved with every visit. Both doctors are friendly and really take the time to listen and understand my situation and to provide suggestions for at home care. I feel very lucky to have found Kind Chiropractic and I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

    Appalachian Orthopedic Assocs
I’ve had the same doctor with them for 3 surgeries over the last 10 to 11 years and I wouldn’t go to anybody. Dr. Charles Barn is my doctor there and so I haven’t dealt with anybody else in there and I’ve not had any problems with them.

    Brashear, Dr. Jason A.
(Review on behalf of a close friend)
I got MRSA while I was with Dr. Brashear and it took forever to clear
it up. Brashear let it go so long it went in my bones before he did
anything about it. The MRSA colonized and every time I have some thing
done they test me for it and usually find it some where. They found it
    in my lungs too.
Dr. Brashear made a much bigger mess out of it then there was to begin
with. I lost about an inch in length off my right leg. He also cut out
part of the tibia bone which was never damaged. I certainly
don't want to go back to Brashear to have him do anything. My insurance
company warned me not to go to Watauga Orthopedics I thought it was interesting
that my insurance company would tell me that.

    Jones Chiropractic Clinic
Thoroughness and competency rock! I have been adjusted by chiropractors off and on since about 1992. Jones Chiropractic is flat out the best I have ever worked with. There are three docs, but the treatment protocol is very consistent from one to the other and flexible enough to accommodate whatever region needs work. I do have a favorite doc, but all provide effective adjustment. With other chiro offices, I often left feeling like one more region needed work. Not here. They are extremely thorough, and may readjust a spinal region later in the visit should it be needed. The facilities are great. Office staff is friendly and competent. I have had to wait about 15 minutes twice, but that is unusual, and in fairness I have also been late on two different occasions. They will continue to be my chiropractic provider, and establish a benchmark for effective care. Highly recommended, without reservation.

    Elizabethton Massage & Body Wo
She knows the body and how to get to the pain and relieve the muscle aches and stress. My husband needs deep muscle massage and she can get down and get knots out of muscles. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

    Sycamore Shoals Hospital
The therapists had me do different exercises and gave me some sort of electric current treatments and cream treatments on my knees and thighs that seemed to help. At the first session they gave me one sheet of paper with 3 exercises circled on it and on the last day they gave me an elastic exercise band with no instructions as to how to use it. (We had not used an elastic band during the sessions.) After the four sessions I was on my own as I knew I would be, but I have had to rely on my faulty memory as to what exercises to do. The piece of paper with three pictures circled on it was not adequate. Looking back, I think they should have used the four sessions to develop a long-term plan for me to continue on my own. Instead, as soon as I told them I was not a long-term patient, they seemed to lose interest and couldn't wait to send me packing.

    Sycamore Shoals Hospital
I went through four physical therapy sessions at Sycamore Shoals. The sessions seemed haphazard; some exercises were repeated each time; others were done during only one appointment. I was given little direction as to what to do after the four sessions were over. After my first session I was given one piece of paper with some exercises drawn on it; three were circled. When I told the therapist during my third or fourth session that my doctor had prescribed only four sessions (rather than being a long-term customer), she seemed to lose interest. This four sessions seemed like a waste of time and a lot of my money.
