ALucius Complete HomeWe had a screened in porch built onto our house. We had a really old deck that was warping and beyond repair, and to make it worse our mosquitos were worse than ever this summer. So instead of dropping a bunch of money on repairing/rebuilding another deck and being eaten alive we decided to go for a screened in porch. We got 5 bids, and even though there was one slightly lower bid the professionalism and courtesy from Bob Bailey (our project manager) when he came out for our estimate was enough that we decided to go with Lucius. We are extremely happy that we did. Before the work began we received a personal letter from the head of Lucius Complete Home, thanking us for our business and with his personal contact information should we ever need it. The work began earlier than expected. Demolition of the old deck was completed in an afternoon and left no trace (or concrete slab either). The concrete work had to be altered due to the steep grade on the land, and the professional concrete folks were able to adjust and make everything rock solid, while a lesser crew could have cut corners, and led to problems a few years down the road. The room itself was built in amazing time (~2 days) and then with the electrical work (who took time to help track down an issue we didn’t even know we had!) and gutters (put on in about an hour) we were done! Mr. Bailey was fantastic through the entire process. He kept us up to date on what was happening and was always accessible when we had questions. We have been loving our screen porch ever since. I have been out in it during torrential downpours and not only is the room itself watertight, but there is no dripping/flow off the side. All that is left now is for us to relax and enjoy the outdoors while telling the mosquitos to buzz off!- Jennifer M.

FLucius Complete HomeCame out about a week after my request. Provided 2 verbal estimates. Called back about a week later and increased one of the estimates by 50%. In spite of multiple requests, have not given any estimates in writing. The last time I asked, they seemed insulted that I would not have a check for them before seeing a written proposal. After a month I still do not have proposal from them Nor would I be willing to do business with them at this point.- Randall B.

APremier Custom Homes & RemodelingConstruction is a process that takes on a life of its own. Scheduling in the late fall and the dead of winter has its disadvantages. The progress was slow, but in the end we will have a quality product and that is what is most important to us. Justin is great to work with and his workers are professional and courteous. AParker's WorkshopMr. Parker was one of several companies I called about getting a quote. He responded to my request within 24 hours, and had scheduled an onsite visit within a few days. In discussing the project with him it was apparent that he was qualified, and had a number of good suggestions to help make the improvements better. He provided a verbal bid the next day, and a written bid within several days. I received a wide range of bids from several contractors, and Mr. Parker's bid was one of the most affordable. I decided to go with his company because he was always responsive, and willing to help. We scheduled a start date, and the employees showed up on time, and completed the job within the timeframe discussed. They did a good job, kept the worksite clean, and was easy to work with. I will call Mr. Parker first when we need more work at our house.- KEITH B.

ABennett Construction CompanyWe would like to praise Bennett Construction for the service, professionalism, and guidance shown in our kitchen remodeling. Between their interaction with our insurance company, work quality, and scheduling/communicating with us, we could not be more pleased. We actually dreaded even starting this project, based on a past nightmare experience with another contractor. But we were so very blessed to have found this company. Ken Joyner's honesty, kindness, knowledge, and even the patience he showed in dealing with our particular situation went above and beyond what we ever could have expected. He knew our budget limitations and helped us pick from a variety of affordable options, so when the job was complete, we didn't have "buyer's remorse", nor have we second guessed any decisions made. We are truly grateful for the excellent workmanship, punctuality, and courtesy shown by Jess and Chad. We will highly recommend Bennett Construction to anyone and everyone, and if we find it within our "budget" in the future to do more improvements, there's no one else we would consider. AHutzel Construction made this entire project painless. At every step of the process, they handled it with a high level of professionalism. Communication was excellent from their first site visit to the finished product. I can't say enough good things about this company. The owner, Jeff Hutzel, came along with his project manager, Kim, to be involved in the estimating process. He was very honest and upfront in setting our expectations for what could be done in the most cost-effective manner. The project involved completely re-doing the drywall, flooring, and painting in the master bedroom and the master bathroom, as well as painting two other bathrooms. Hutzel's crew took extra care to preserve the original jacuzzi tub, despite Jeff telling us on the front end it was possible the tub could be damaged when they were replacing the tile around it. In my opinion, you can't go wrong hiring Hutzel Construction for your home improvement/renovation/repair project.

AIf you ever need garage repair and garage door opener installation, hire this guy! I had a cable that broke and a garage door opener that was on its last leg! The owner came out to replace the cable and replaced the rollers on the door. Then he advised my garage door opener was about to go out. I bought a new garage door opener and had it replaced the very next day. The owner resolved both issues quickly and the cost was inexpensive. I'm pleased.

AWe have about a half acre lot with about 8 massive white oak trees that had dropped a good half to foot of leaves across the entire yard. I had gotten a few quotes (tried to get more but the other people never showed or called back), and Andrew was competitive on price, but was by far the most prompt and professional when I met him. The team showed up exactly when they said they would, worked hard and efficiently, and most importantly didn’t leave a leaf in site at the end (no bags either!). We are extremely happy with the work and results and plan to use them next year.

AThey did excellent work and did a great job according to our requests. They were very professional. The only thing was he did have a painter who was working for him who charged $500 to paint our kitchen island and they said it could not be matched. We had another painter guy who went to a different paint company and he was able to match it exactly and only charged us $200. Other than that, they were very good and we would use them again.

CWork was completed. However, there were deficiencies such as the quality of material and leaking roof. Tried for approximately three months to get resolution to the problems identified above. They came to the house a couple of time without fully resolving the problem. Company showed little interest in service after the sale. I ended up fixing the leaking roof myself.
