Ricky and his crew were very punctual and completed the job on time and on budget. I was very pleased with the outcome of his work and would definitely rehire for any new projects around my home. He was very open about the expectations and results and also very easy to contact and stay in communication with as well.

Eric offered to start work, at a good price, when he had an opening in his schedule. It worked out perfectly for us, because he was able to start work right at the time we were ready as well. He was on time for each segment of the remodel process, which was four of five visits for his part. He removed all the old cabinets in the kitchenette and took up the vinyl floor in the bathroom, then installed our beautiful slate floor on the first day. He also hauled off all the debris. On the next day he returned and grouted the floor and installed a new toilet, added an outlet and repaired drywall. The toilet developed a very slow drip around the tank and after I called, he returned the next day to correct the problem. Several weeks passed before he could install the backsplash because cabinets had to be delivered and installed by another contractor. Then granite had to be cut and installed by yet another contractor. Eric was able to return soon after all that and finished the backsplash was up in two back to back visits. I must add, Eric was easy to work with and listened to what we wanted. The work he did is beautiful. He was always on time, clean, friendly and pleasant. I feel he is someone that can be trusted with you home and remodeling projects.

After custom building multiple homes and owning several rental properties, I have dealt with hundreds of contractors.  Some were honest and competent, while others were completely unreliable.  It seemed that if a guy couldn't figure out what he wanted to do or couldn't secure a job because he couldn't pass a background check and knew which end of a hammer to use, he simply drove to the local printer and ordered a $20 box of business cards and self declared himself a "Contractor".  I am a trustee over an estate that owns a home in Jefferson County.   The house needed to be painted, complete multiple repairs (including a structural issue), and updated in preparation for sale.  I live in Cincinnati and had limited experience with any of the local contractors.  With only a couple of exceptions, the ones that I had worked with, I would never bring back.  I am very pleased to say that  I have never had a better experience with a Contracting group than I did with Greg Levron's LIBERTY GENERAL CONSTRUCTION!  Any issue concerning the structural integrity of a home is terrifying to owners because it always carries with it a heart stopping price tag to repair.  His team is comprised of hardworking and intelligent professionals offering a variety of skill sets.  They were able to address everything from painting to diagnosing the geniuses of a couple of structural problems and making the necessary repairs.  Based on Angie's List customer reviews, I contacted 3 prospective contractors and collected bids.  Greg's bid was substantially lower, I was impressed by his professionalism.  A contract was signed and multiple crews were dispatched in organized fashion to address their assigned tasks.  They arrived on time, worked hard, and did the job right.  At twice the price, I would use LIBERTY GENERAL CONSTRUCTION without hesitation again.  I assure you that the job will be done right and Greg will stand behind his commitment to quality.  As he is in high demand, you will have to schedule ahead, but it is most definitely worth the wait.  Hats off to you Greg for maintaining an ethical compass that points due north, and for providing me with a knowledgeable, consumer oriented, and quality driven team!  Well done and THANK YOU!

We are very pleased with the quality of work and the professionalism of Bobby Hughes and his workers.  He provided a variety of services to include, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.  He sub-contracted out the masonry work required for this job.  His estimate was very clear and professional.  While the proposed plan was very straight forward the reality of the job threw Bobby some curves which he handled well.  His suggestions for dealing issues that came up were excellent and made our decisions easier.
The removal of the old concrete roof was more difficult than anticipated due to the roof having 2 concrete layers.  He could have not anticipated the roof being two layers thick.  Then the condition of the exposed walls, after the roof was removed, was poorer than hoped.  Without a blink Bobby worked up a plan to sure up the old walls and worked to minimize the additional cost for the fix.  With the help of the mason cinder block was added to sure up the walls so the new roof would be stable and provide a backing for the new brick.  After the repaired walls were in place he fabricated a new slanted roof system providing a roof access configuration for well access.  He insulated the new roof and finished off the inside ceiling will cellular PVC bead board strips provided by the property owner.
Bobby reworked some of the plumbing to install a new frost free exterior faucet and changed out the old fuse box electrical connection to a new circuit breaker.  He also installed a new GFCI external outlet and to code electrical light inside the well house.
Bobby demonstrated a concern for historical aesthetics by helping direct the mason on the type of brick to use and how the joints should be mortared to resemble existing structures on the property.  Also Bobby wanted to use a metal roof to keep the structure in charter with a nearby out building.  The door he built for the well house was also created with a historical perspective.
The weather also threw Bobby and his mason some challenges since we had an unusual cold snap which made doing masonry work challenging and forced some delays.  Bobby, et al, worked very late into the evening (after 9:00pm) a couple of nights to make as much progress as possible while the weather cooperated.
Why I graded a "B" on punctuality and responsiveness is because the weather caused some confusion about when the mason and Bobby were going to be on the job (i.e. day and/or time of day).  We would have the schedule on what was going to happen the next day and then things would not turn out as scheduled.  Again the weather and using a new mason sub-contractor assisted in the confusion, but the confusion could have been reduced with a phone call to me early in the day.  Please note this is a minor complaint on my part since it did not impact the quality of work or our working relationship with Bobby.
Again we are very satisfied with the work that was done and our relationship with Bobby and his workers.  Without hesitation we would look to hire Bobby again in the future.

I called on Tuesday, August 19th and spoke with Jesse who scheduled a measure appointment for me on August 21st.  The gentlemen that measured our property was polite, on time and efficient.  I provided a 50% deposit and signed a simple one-page price estimate.  My granite was installed exactly one week later.  When they thought they might be an hour late, they called to let me know.  The granite was seamless, well-finished, and the installation crew was professional, polite and prompt.  We flip houses for a living and deal with LOTS of subcontractors.  They rank among the best.  I will DEFINITELY use them again and again and again.

Stopped by the Sevierville and Newport locations and received warm, professional service during my inquiries about having granite counter tops installed. I called the Dandridge location, because the installation location was IN Dandridge, and scheduled to have Jack come measure my cabinets for granite counter tops. Jack was polite and punctual but smelled badly of cigarettes. He assured me the cabinet installation looked fine. When I asked if the layout could be done seamless, Jack assured me that there should be no reason it could not be done seamlessly. I went directly to the Dandridge location, signed the contract where instructed and paid 100% of the estimate for the approximately 27 square feet of new venetian gold granite. I had to return home to retrieve the pre-purchased undermount sink that I had forgotten. When I returned to Heartland, I explained to the owner Mike that the installation could NOT be done on Wednesday, August 13th, but MUST be done on Thursday, August 14th. He agreed that it would be no problem. I reiterated to him that the slab needed to be seamless and installed on 8/14 due to prior sub-contractor obligations. Again, he agreed.
One week prior to the agreed upon installation date, he called me while I was on vacation and told me they need to install the granite on Wednesday, August 13th or it would have to wait 2 weeks. When I reminded him that we had specifically agreed on a critical date of the 14th, he said that I had told him the 13th. That should have been my first clue that he wasn't listening. Finally, the 2 weeks he said I would have to wait was narrowed down to 5 days, costing me money due to re-scheduling and change orders. The installers showed up on time with a piece of granite WITH A SEAM in it. I didn't even let them take it off the truck. I proceeded to call the owner who called me liar, claiming we had never had a conversation about the seam. He then decided that my wanting him to do what he promised was being and quot;difficult.and quot; I went to his office after the installers left to retrieve a refund and had to leave my spouse in the office to deal with him because of his continuing insults and name calling. After I left, his secretary decided to pipe in about how it was all my fault as well...as though trash-talking about me to my spouse would work.
With refund in hand, I proceeded directly to the bank to cash if for fear that this dishonest business owner would stop payment on the check. I found the same price elsewhere (Angie's List) with a granite supplier with glowing reviews within 30 minutes. Further digging revealed horrible reviews for Heartland all over the internet. Do you homework and give your money to ANYONE other than Heartland.

The installer was punctual and polite which was refreshing considering the house building industry as a whole. He and his helper worked continuously and completed the job in one day as promised. He asked for feedback when unsure of what I wanted. Everything looked great and price was as discussed. Fantastic job all the way around.

We met with Mr. Hearn to discuss our thoughts and ideas about a major remodeling of our recently purchesed townhouse. In addition to our plans, He had many suggestions about additional improvements that did not cost any more but that we both liked better than our own ideas.

As work progressed, we made a few changes and he was always accommodating to make. Our overall working relationship was excellent. We continue to call on him from time to time as we have other needs.
