    They were awesome! They have gone above and beyond to accommodate our hectic travel schedule and still get all the much needed dental work done. They are very flexible about working with us and our insurance. The offices are state of the art and immaculately clean. Glad the others were NOT able and willing to fit us in!!     From the receptionist-Wendy to the assistant Callie to Dr. Rana and the cleaning technician Diana--I absolutely could NOT have been treated any better.  All staff are very very professional and courteous, offering me something to drink-even my husband while he was waiting.  I am a difficult and unique patient and they took extremely , over the top care of me.  Dr. Rana had his assistant put a blood pressure cuff and a pulse ox meter to monitor me while he worked on my teeth.  He made sure I was comfortable and pain free.  Everyone was polite and so compassionate.  Over the top care.  I just cannot say enough good about everyone there at Cumberland Dentistry.  Thank you to staff and Dr. Rana!

    Everyone I came in contact with were very professional and friendly  Extremely happy with the way the cleaning and exam were done by Dr. Smith discovered that I needed to have one filling done; not a major problem, so I was scheduled for an appointment at a future date.  I had the filling done about two weeks ago, and Dr. Smith was very gently and explained every thing he was doing as he filled my tooth.  I was in and out of the office within a half hour.   His fees seem reasonable for the services he is providing. I was extremely satisfied, and  would highly recommend him.

    I think the moral of this is if it's not bothering you do nothing. I know his suggesting of tooth reconstruction is the right stander of care but this has now cost us 3 times as much for 3 teeth that we're not Evern bothering me in the first place. My Husband isn't going to have his done at this time.

    The office is brand new. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and easy to communicate with. Our appointments were on time and both the hygienist and the dentist were thorough, professional and easy to talk with. We will definitely return.

    The ability to accommodate was a giant plus.
    The fees were fair, and they even spent quite awhile on the phone setting up my insurance for me.

    When I showed up for my appointment, I was asked for the form and taken back to an exam room fairly soon. Once in there I had two young females come in (one from the office and one I'm assuming was the hygienist) and along with the form I completed, discussed between themselves about which and quot;typeand quot; I fit into based upon my questionnaire, and then began asking me questions such as and quot;if I could change anything about my teeth, what would it beand quot; and advising me that I needed to get my teeth whitened and straightened. FYI, I had my teeth straightened with braces when I was younger and have had my teeth cleaned and checked every six months my whole life. I did have to have a couple of porcelain crowns replace fillings on the very back two teeth (one one each side) and a another couple of back teeth have had onlays applied to them so the fillings wouldn't show when I smile, but other than that, I've been told my teeth were very nice, naturally very white and in general in very good shape. I even had another dentist from my previous dentist's practice ask me if I had ever had whitening done and told me that I was very lucky to have such naturally white teeth. Anyway, they started in wanting to sell me products before they even started working on my teeth! I told them I was not interested in any cosmetic dentistry and was only there to get my six month cleaning and checkup. Then they both left the room. About 30 minutes later, the hygienist came back in and put on my and quot;biband quot; and started to pull out the x-ray equipment. I told her that I had already explained on my phone call for an appointment that I had x-rays done during my last dental appointment so all I needed was a cleaning/checkup. She went out and was gone for another 15 or 20 minutes and when she came back in said that the dentist required all new patients to have x-rays done. I told her my insurance would not pay for these x-rays she was wanting to do again and that I had explained to the scheduler when I made my appointment that they could request copies from my last dentist and gave them the dentist's name, address, and phone number. She said that and quot;Dr Hooeyand quot; would not accept anyone else's x-rays because they were probably using old equipment and he had newer better equipment. After I refused to let them do x-rays she went out and left me alone again for another 30 minutes. I had been there about an 1 1/2 hours and they still had not cleaned my teeth. Finally I caught one of the girls in the hall and asked them when they were going to clean my teeth and she went to get the hygienist that was and quot;assignedand quot; to me. When she came back in she said that unless I would have the x-rays done, Dr. Hooey wouldn't take me as a new patient so I asked her if she was going to clean my teeth or not and she indicated and quot;no, they could not do a cleaning until I had x-rays done so they could see the condition my teeth were in prior to them doing anything.and quot; I was very upset and after over 2 hours left without what I called and made an appointment for in the first place, which was a six-month checkup and cleaning. The so-called and quot;Dentistand quot; never even came out to talk with me when I requested to see him at the front office. It was probably a good thing because I was so frustrated by that time I would have given him a few choice words. I called my insurance and asked them to take Hooey off the preferred-providers list however, I don't know if they ever did or not. At the time he had a brand new office up on the hill and I guess that's how he planned to pay for it; forcing people to pay for services they didn't need or request. Our family says and quot;Phooey on Hooey.and quot;

    I went to Dr. Rana because my dental insurance changed, and I wanted an in-service provider, so I went to his office without the benefit of a reference. I went in for an initial appointment and my twice a year check up and cleaning. His staff was pleasant and efficient, and Dr. Rana himself did the cleaning, which makes a nice change. I have become used to a hygienist providing the cleaning and the dentist just coming in at the end for a quick look. I was happy with Dr. Rana's professionalism, and skill. I have no qualms about returning for future dental care.

    I made my next appointment for impressions and first appointment for extractions, and feel confident that I am in the best hands with Dr. McShan and his professional assistant, Natalie. Since the first initial appointment, I've had the extractions done (all top teeth) and also had the denture fitted and placed. I AM SO EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE WITH DR. MCSHAN and I have NEVER been comfortable and fully trusted a dentist.... EVER. I'm already planning for the upper teeth to be extracted and new dentures made, fitted and placed.
    I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. McShan and his wonderful top-notch staff for any and all your dental needs. He has had some young elementary school age patients, one of which had a tooth pulled last appointment and she was pleased as punch with Dr. McShan, said '...and it didn't even hurt...!'

    It has been a month since the teeth were removed, the intermediate denture placed, and necessary adjustments made...and I'm still as comfortable with Dr. McShan and his wonderful staff as I've ever been. As the swelling subsides the denture needs to be 'tweeked' to fit comfortably - and I've always gotten in same day I've called, and been seen quickly and leave happy and satisfied I have made the right choice. Later this year I will undergo the same procedures for the other arch and am NOT afraid or apprehensive at all. DR. McSHAN and Plateau family dentistry and the staff are all pleasant, professional, helpful and knowledgeable; put you at ease right away, and take away any anxiety you might have immediately. VERY VERY HAPPY I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR ME... Thank you Dr. McShan, Candy, Natalie and Tiffany for turning my anxious and frightening experience into a pleasant, non-anxious, positive experience. You have a patient for life.... THANK YOU !
