Olga the physical therapist put together an exercise program based on the patients needs and advised him to practice at home as well. Olga was supposed to be working with the patient while he was at the facility, however the patient told me that she left him to do the exercises on his own most of the time. Olga called me at home and asked if I could come to the facility to learn how to teach the patient to do the exercises correctly and supervise him. She told me that the patient required "supervision". I was upset that she expected me to come in with him and supervise him when that was what she was supposed to be doing. There was this cloud of guilt hanging over my head the entire time he was getting therapy because I just simply could not accompany the patient to these visits. The patients previous physical therapist never once asked me to come along to learn the exercises. This was very upsetting and bothersome to me. They told us after testing the patient that he did not need occupational therapy. This was a suprise to me and to the patients doctors since HE DOES NEED IT. That was dissapointing. Then there was the speech therapist, Julie who was waiting for her babysitter to have a baby and then she was "outa there". So Adriane took her place. Well, they were nice, however I feel that they just paid me a lot of "lip service". They would keep telling me, Oh, I am going to do this and that with him, but as the time passed, they just kept on yammering away about other things, seemingly killing time. Just like the physical therapist they gave him exercises to practice at home. I am not sure how much "actual therapy" went on when I wasn't there because the patient has dementia, but I don't think they spent enough the amount of time with the patient they were supposed to. They told me about how they would go get the patient a hot chocolate or look up information about his condition on the internet and make lots of print outs for him to read. And then there was the issue about transportation. In the beginning they told us they provided a ride to and from Lifecare. After a couple of weeks, they abrubtly told me, with no previous warning mind you, that they could no longer provide transportation because their driver was going to be out with surgery. When I went in to talk to Tim Sullivan the Rehab Servics Manager about it I saw the the bus driver standing around the nursing home and the bus was parked out front not being used. I felt like they were not being honest with me and were just making excuses. It seemed as though they changed their mind about providing transportation to us. So we had to make arrangements to use the Maury County Senior Ride Program. When I was finally able to make it in to go over the patients exercises with Olga, we were abruptly informed that they were done with the treatment and it had to do with Medicare coverage reaching its limit for the patient. We were given no prior notice that they were stopping the therapies. I don't know if this was the real reason or not. It seemed all along to me that they were just trying to get rid of us. I also need to mention that the woman who does the billing, Barbie Hensley was sarcastic and rude on both occasions that I spoke with her. The first time was to give her the patients insurance information, which I gave her in the beginning. The second time was when I was contacting her about the statement she sent showing we had a balance due. It turned out that she had not filed with all three of the patients insurances as she was supposed to do. Her last words to me were "if Tricare doesn't pay then the balance is your responsibilty"! I felt as if she was making an assumption that I was not planning on paying my bills. She was so nasty about it. In the end this therapy did nothing to help the patient with his condition despite the fact that I told them what things needed improvement. The patient recieved NO BENEFIT from this therapy. His speech and motor skills did not improve. But Lifecare billed medicare for it and got paid. What a waste.

Very good. We called it in ahead of time to be picked up. They filled the perscription by the time that we requested on the automated call. The only glitch was that their computer didn't automatically pick up my husbands secondary insurance. I had to call back and speak with a live person in the pharmacy (after the automated call) to have them manually run the insurance a second time. All was well and we had no co-payment in the end.

They are awesome!  I wouldn't go with anyone else. There are 6 doctors that are all partners. I was in and out in no time.
