  • The crew from Baku Moving came on time and started working right away. They brought boxes, tape and all essential tools needed. They packed our 2 bedroom apartment in just 3 hours and were ready to go. On delivery, the same crew was there. They helped us a lot by moving all the furniture as how we desired. They were really good and very hardworking. They are just wonderful!

  • We are no newbie to relocation and our experiences with moving companies have always been less than great. They have always promised us easy and efficient moves but their men are never well prepared or skillful. For our last move, we hired Baku Moving. It was just a speedy and enjoyable moving experience with them. They were the moving company who was able to accommodate me because in the last minute my moving date was changed. On the day, they showed up on time and displayed their skills in packing and loading my belongings. The delivery was made on time without any fuss.

  • I called Community Crew to move homes. Although the initial estimate was for about 6 hours it ended up being a 10 hour job. Since I was with them the whole time, I can vouch that the entire team never sat idle during that time. They were either wrapping furniture, carrying it downstairs or stacking it securely in the truck. Nothing was damaged in the transit of only about 6 miles. The team was very meticulous about the order of things in the truck and making sure that nothing would break.

  • Packed up everything and put in storage for a couple of weeks. Delivered everything to our new home in TX. Several items missing and or broken and the owner is only worried about his reviews. Large item that were disassembled were not correctly put back together. Simple items such as a vacuum cleaner and cleaning were lost a long the way.

  • STOP! Read this! You will Thank me! I wish there were something less than "F". I try not to post bad reviews because everyone has a bad day now and then but this was different. In March of 2016 I hired CORD Moving to move my home. They have a great salesman Cory Loeffier who I must say is actually great. He was the only positive part of my experience and unfortunately does not have the power to control the practices of the field staff or management. My experience was so bad I will list "JUST A FEW" bullet points in an effort to keep this review somewhat short. Should you want details please look me up on Facebook and I would be happy to give you enough details about my experience to keep you looking for a quality company that does what they say, takes care of your stuff, and is professional. High (low) Points: *Moving team were very unprofessional and extremely SLOW. *Didn't move me out of my old house on time and I got calls from the new owners to get out because we were in violation of our contract. We had a day and a half to get out of the old house. Seems like a reasonable amount of time to load up to me. *I had to not only work alongside their movers the entire time for 2 days but I actually out worked them. There was no sense of urgency or care on behalf of Cord Moving. *Even though they visited my house prior they brought to old small rental trucks that were so beat up one of them broke down and I had to give it a boost just to get it out of the driveway. The trucks were so small we had to make multiple trips wasting time. *The trucks were so small I had to use my truck and my wife's car to load up stuff in an effort to get out of the old house before the new owners got there. (We didn't make it in time) *They damaged 5 pieces of my furniture and hid it from me. I didn't find it until the day after they left because I spent all of my time working with them instead of watching them. *At the new house my new neighbor came over and said he had been watching and commented on how lazy they were and offered to help. I let him. How does that sound for a first impression! *After all of this they billed my credit card for more than the quoted amount without telling me. When I asked about it and they said it was "Overtime". I tried to explain that the overtime was because the crews were lazy and let me do so much of the work, their truck broke down, and they did nothing to keep their people on task even when I called the office to voice my concerns twice during the actual move process. I even bought lunch for the guys to try and get them to work faster. These are the very short condensed versions. Its much much worse than the notes above cover. I have used moving companies in the past and never experienced anything on this level of what I can only call abuse and outright lies to their service, promise, and ethics. I am sure they have a version of this experience but who knows what BS it would be because they refused to ever speak with me about the issue. Poor Cory was left trying to fix the issue with unscrupulous management and incompetent mover staff. RUN AWAY from these guys at all cost.

  • They did a great job. Very courteous and careful with our furniture. No bumped walls or scratched floors. Were always on time and did what they said they would do. We were very impressed. Will use them again after our house is sold for long distance moving.

  • They were okay. They charged me in addition to the deal. I spent a little bit. It's an extra fee for them to come out, or something like that. I think it was additional $30-$40. The price was good and that's the whole reason I went with it. They damaged the door on my China cabinet. They had the equipment and everything they needed. It's just they weren't careful with the stuff, I think that's really what it was. One of my table is really heavy. They were planning on dragging it on a carpet of a brand new house. They were about to drag it on the carpet with the rough part facing down which would have scratched my floor. I caught them before doing it and told them to flip it over. The soft part should be facing the hardwood floor. It's little stuff like that. I never called to tell them to see what they would do. I left it alone because I was able to fix it myself. If it's for simple stuff, they may do it but I wouldn't recommend them to haul something expense or something like that. I would be too scared. I will probably not use them again.

  • Terrible. Rented two units and one had a leak in the roof resulting in water damage and mold to 2/3 of our belongings. Marks on the bottom boxes on the floor, indicated that water levels reached at least 8" which easily would have resulted in water seepage from the door. The movers called ( as I was at the new home in another state) and advised me of the damage as soon as they started to load their truck. Called the facility manager to see it, and took pictures as well. Manager claims she never saw water on the floor outside the unit when it was leaking, which is impossible given the water height inside.
When I went for compensation for the damage, they pointed to the multi-paged legal contract which limits them to a measly $2,000!
This just covered one of many mattresses destroyed. If a storage unit does not protect your belongings from rain, who needs them??
Calls back to get information from the unit took too long to get responses...especially since it was their fault and I needed resolution
to replace some of those goods quickly.
All in all, a heartbreaking, expensive and terrible experience...worsened by the company refusing to accept responsibility for their problem

  • Terrible. First, in fairness to Big League Movers , the storage unit they recommended- but did not own- had a leak in the roof so much of our belongings suffered water damage. Big League took pictures when they opened the locker and informed us of the damage. Let me also say that the moving crews were very polite on both sides.
Let me also say that my wife and I have moved across the country nine times with about every major mover so we know what to expect from professional movers.

This was simply the worse packing and moving experience we ever had. Things(I.e.) pictures which should have been crated were not....and we were not even asked before they were wrapped. There was excessive breakage in the carton themselves that had nothing to to with the water leaks. servpro, the largest national remediation company, was hired by us to go through every carton to check for water damage . The long time employees of Servpro who deal with moved goods for a living said: ""This was the worse packing job they had ever seen".

On the Collierville side, we identified a few goods, including our suite cases , which we didn't want to be moved to storage. As there was no communication in the crew, they packed them and we had to go buy new clothes. I did stop by at the storage units( they recommended we get two units to accommodate our goods) 8 Months after we moved, and could hardly slide up the door as they jammed the goods in so much. Boxes were literally thrown on the top of the pile(high roof) as they miscalculated the space needed.

Worse yet was the damage to the furniture caused during the moving process..above and beyond water damage. Huge rips in the back of leather couches which were clearly not wrapped when loaded, broken marble ( how do you break marble??) pedestals , wood shelving unit split apart, etc. On the unloading side, one of the unloaders was virtually dragging a barbecue unit on its little plastic wheels across 50 yards on unfinished landscape vs two guys lifting it until I stopped him..

Given the great experiences we had in the prior 9 moves with other major movers, and the high rating of Big League on Angie's list, we opted for insurance by the pound. Given the amount of non water damaged good caused by poor packing and moving, we wrote Big League and requested more compensation than the per pound insurance, we shared the commentary of the remediators at Serpro, pictures of damage clearly done by poor packing and moving, all to no avail. Look, I understand that sometimes packing crews just don't meet the standards of the company, but once these shortcoming are surfaced to management- especially one rated so high on Angie's,
I'd expect a lot more than $150 dollars in compensation for over $3,000 in moving damage.

You may see commentary back from Big League undermining the above, but trust me, this was just a lousy moving job.

  • Our movers were Josh and Ian and they were great! They were super friendly and very efficient. They were able to move our stuff just using the 2 hr minimum, other moving companies I had contacted quoted us about 4-5 hrs to do this move. My husband and I were very impressed with their work ethic and professionalism. Not a box was dropped, not a piece of furniture scratched and they even showed up early! You can't go wrong with these guys. We'll be using My Town for any moves we have in the future.
