  • Choice processed the claim quickly but hired a very unprofessional company to fix the problem. The contractor's first visit was 24 hours before the scheduled appointment - and was upset that I didn't pick up his phone call at 7 p.m. He called me back 35 minutes later telling me that he called me back because I had not yet called him. The visit required a second visit. This second visit was even worse than the first. The plumbers left my bathroom extremely dirty (I have pictures) and said that they were not required to clean up. They also "fixed" one of the problem by having the tank fill up with too much water so I am being wasteful and spending unnecessary money on my water bill. After my experience I looked up reviews for the company that they sent - and all of them were negative with similar experiences. Clearly Choice is trying to find the lowest cost option without any concern about quality or professionalism.

  • Awful. My warranty states ceiling fans are covered for "all parts and components." I have two broken fans where the light unit joins the fan. They have fallen apart, and you can't use the fan because it wobbles and will fall from ceiling if I run it. Technician came out and said they both needed to be replaced and asked what color I wanted for the new fans. AHS then denied the claim, saying it was NOT normal wear and tear. The fans are 30 years old and just now fell apart. I think that is normal wear and tear. I didn't hang from my fans. I simply turn them on and off. Over the years the weakest link failed, as with any product. They also said that I was to provide scaffolding so they could access the fan in my greatroom. I told them to point out where in my warranty that was stated. They could not. Have had this company for many years. Am so disappointed in their lack of customer service. Also, waiting 50 minutes to have you call answered is BAD BUSINESS. AHS, do the right thing for your loyal customers.

  • I know they fixed my oven one time and the plumbing issue and they came out and cleaned out lines and all that but it was only two times I ever used them. Every time I call them they are right here in an hour so and they never question anything, I pay my monthly fee and I pay a minimum fee when they come out.I really hadn't have any problems with them like I said they haven't come yet, I am happy with them. The only thing we had issue with the garage door wouldn't open and I was out of town and my wife didn't know what was wrong with it and she thought the whole thing was covered and when they say the only person they could get would take three days to get him here and when he got here it wouldn't even cover him apparently just the noter was covered not the actual door and we got issue with the door.

  • Sent a very unprofessional plumber to fix a leak. We were way overcharged. AHS needs to send reputable people to do service. DO NOT USE DRAINGO! This is the company AHS will send you. You will spend double the money. RIP OFF!!! Unprofessional, dishonest and not reputable. Read Google reviews and BBB!!!

  • The second company showed up 20 minutes after their promised 1-5pm time slot, when I wasn't home.  So, I got a new appointment for today.  I have just phoned the company again to get an estimate of when the technician would be here, and their person at their overseas call center told me that the job has been CANCELLED today due to lack of a technician, and I need to re-schedule, again!
    The business model of this First American seems to be, write a warranty with promises to keep everything in your house working - and then NEVER get real repairs performed.  It's such a hassle at this point, I may end up (as I did with the plumbing) just hiring my own repair man, or replacing the stove top.
    I have been trying, for 4 weeks, to get a simple repair done, with no success.  Are we living in the third world here????
