Our rep was nice but spent a limited amount of time looking at the problems. I called because we were having some noticeable sagging in one area of our floor and subsequent horizontal cracking on some of our doors frames. He made a shotty diagram of the house and then went in the crawl space. I specifically asked him to look at the sagging area in mention. He came up and told me I need steel support jacks and beams installed in between all of the load bearing walls to fix the problem. I asked him about the problem area and he said "well you know it's the same issue across the whole house." I don't even think he looked at it to be honest. Later he sent me an estimate showing steel supports being put in for every load bearing wall and nothing supporting in between. Did he even remember what he told me? The estimate was over $14k. What he didn't know was that I'd already had another company over to take a look. They took pictures and showed me where we had a beam not being supported properly in the problem area. Quote was less than half. Beware!!!!

Salesman Walt Kimbro came to quote me on the crawlspace upgrade.  He was very knowledgeable and professional.  I knew the work would not be cheap based on comments in Angie's List but it was necessary - my crawlspace was damp and there was mold.  Walt patiently worked with me through the contract process knowing it's not easy to spend $8500 on a part of your house you don't see very often.
The crew of Nick, Ben and Reese were excellent.  Nick kept me informed of their arrival times.  They answered questions and tolerated my photographs as the work progressed.  They cleaned out all old insulation and debris from the crawlspace and hauled it away - they even took some other wood and rebar that was hanging around.  They applied a mold spray to kill mold.   Part of the job involved grading the crawlspace floor which was not easy since here in Chattanooga we don't have soil, we have rock with some clay mixed in.  They insulated the foundation walls with a thick product called Silverglo.  It covered the old foundation vents to stop outside air from entering.   After that a 20 mil vapor barrier was laid down covering the floor and going partially up the walls and covering the piers.  The Silverglo was also cut to fit between each floor joist to insulate the sill plate.  A sump drain with alarm was installed at the low point of the crawlspace floor.   Foam was used to seal every crack and hole.  They installed a weatherproof door in place of my old crawlspace door.  Finally, a dehumidifier was installed and tested.
I am very pleased with the work that was done and very happy with the results.   I used to hate my crawlspace - it was a nasty, damp, bug-infested part of my house that I didn't want to go into.  Now I love it.  I can go in there to inspect my plumbing, HVAC, dryer vent, etc, and it is clean, dry, and pleasant.  I know it is better for my house and it is healthier for me and my family.

I'm not that favorable to this company as I am to the other. It's actually we didn't spend any penny at all because it was part of the contract. They weren't as personable and the young man that came out initially, he didn't follow through with the results that he found. I had to call to get those results and then it took another agent to see. It was not as smooth as someone would like. So, I wasn't totally satisfied with the way that they handled the situation.

I feel that, as I said earlier, if anyone chooses to use them that they would have to be aggressive in making sure that they received all the information needed to come into a finalization of whatever project it is that they will have to follow-up with the company which I felt that it was more on them. They should have made sure that the job was complete and that we were satisfied. They have not called to see how satisfied we were and that's a good customer service. So, their customer service was not up to par to what they have advertised.

I believe that they did some digging and they didn't really smooth out the hole that they had made. They were late.

He did not do any work.  He gave me information the fix my drainage issues.  He knows his stuff.  I purchase some professional foundation books and he basically gave me the same info that is in the books and articles.  No charge for the house call.

We were having landscaping work done at our house. When dirt was pulled away by the brick outer wall of the house in a particular location it revealed that the brickwork did not go down as far as it did along the rest of the wall. It revealed a spongy material and we were concerned that water might get into the basement. Chris looked over the situation and explained that what were seeing was the insulation that is on the outside of the cinder block and it was not a problem that needed repair; the dirt could be replaced against the house once the new plants were put in. We were relieved because thought we might be looking at a large expense to repair the foundation. If we did have a problem with our foundation I would not hesitate to call upon Chris because of he was responsive, punctual, knowledgeable and a nice guy. Also, Chris did not even charge us for the service call.

    AAA Basement Waterproofing
The company owner visited my home and inspected the cracks in my basement walls which were of concern to me. After evaluation of the cracks, outside drainage from gutter downspouts, and overall assessment of basement wall integrity (1 hr inspection), AAA Basement assured me that the cracks were nothing to be concerned about...just typical settling cracks, and suggested that I use a spray foam product to fill through-wall cracks. The AAA basement representative was very professional and thorough in his explaination of findings. I found him to be very knowledgeable and ethical in all dealings. Would definitely call upon his company again for future work (if needed) for my basement.
