    Nash Home Improvement Services
    They were punctual and fast. I couldn't believe they did such a great job in a short amount of time, and believe me when I say my fence and soffits were a mess. See photos. I can't say enough about them. I do not think anyone can beat their prices, and their work ethic is admirable.

    A R Fence Co.
    Richie and the crew from A R Fence did an awesome job on our privacy fence for our home. They came out promptly to give us an estimate which was very reasonable for the quality of work that they do. It was actually thr best price in town plus they warranty their work. The team made an extra effort to ensure that the fence was uniform and had no gaps for our small dog. They were very professional and worth every penny. I will be sure to use their services for any of my fencing and patio needs.

    Premium fence and floor
    Steve did clean the mold and rebuild the drywall but he does not know how to paint. I got overcharged for his multiple attempts to paint the wall correctly. He and his two workers did not clean or spackle the walls prior to painting. He charged me $1200.00 just for painting the about 600 square feet. He ordered two incorrect doors and then argued with me about it. I paid him initially $6,000.00 to cover materials (not including the brand new kitchen appliances, which was purchased from an appliance store) but Steve refused to provide the receipts for materials he purchased. He was also behind in painting the garage floor. I had postponed delivery of the appliances waiting for Steve to paint the floor. He still had not completed the job when the appliances were delivered, which included free set up. Steve did paint the garage floor but one of his workers painted the garage wall and slopped white paint all over the newly painted floor, which Steve itemized at a cost of $400.00, and he refused to repaint over the mess his worker did.
    French doors were sloppily installed--I don't think Steve has heard of a caulking gun because the caulking was slopped all over the door frame--a five year old could have done a better job. Same with the two entry doors---he didn't replace the frame that was part of the cost of the door. I know Steve was just trying to pocket the money--the doors were not even the right doors that I wanted and he argued with me about that. Also, he left the sliding glass door that the French doors replaced.
    day Steve did some plumbing work for the new kitchen and he hired a buddy of his to do the electrical work without my approval. Steve refused to tell me the name of his buddy and itemized that cost to be $400.00. I had Hiller Plumbing come out, a company I highly recommend, and the plumbing and electrical work that Steve and his buddy did was wrong. The plumber told me it was clear that he didn't know what he was doing. Steve took off to work on another job while leaving his two workers to supposably work--this was for the sake of trying to justify charging me the money that I had already paid him. I had hired a woman to do yard work during this time and she reported to me that one worker just stayed outside smoking his cigarettes while talking on the phone. I fired Steve. I repainted all the rooms and had to pay Hiller plumbing and electrical to redo the work that Steve and his buddy did.
    I had a lot going on at the time and should never have tried to have this work done and I was stupid. I asked Steve if he was licensed and he said he was. He's not. Here's what I recommend before you hire anyone to do any type of contraction work to be done.
    1) Visit the TN.gov website to verify the person is licensed and check to see if there are any complaints lodged against the person and/or company;
    2) Get everything in writing and obtain all your receipts for the materials purchased. Fifty percent of the total cost should be for materials and the other half for labor. You have the right to get your receipts (to prove their not stealing and charging--I did get the receipt for the two wrong doors and guess what, it showed I paid for a total of 6 doors). Steve refused to provide the rest of the receipts;
    3) After a contract has been signed with their license number on it and an itemized list of all the materials and labor cost, only pay ? of the amount for the materials;
    4) Do not pay any more money until the job is complete and you have inspected it and approved all work. If you're not happy, don't pay until the person fixes it or completes what he is suppose to have done. If they ask for money as Steve did, say no. Do not pay the job in full until the job is complete and that you are satisfied with the work;
    5) Supervise the work and if you can't be there, hire someone to manage that the work is being done and done professionally.
    This was a very bad experience for me and I know better. I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through. It won't happen again.

    The Handyman Clarksville LLC
    They were quick to respond with an estimate..  Required up front partial payment.  We did 50%, but wish I had not.  It took more than two weeks to get done what was a rather simple job.  Slight weather delay, but not enough to excuse the slow response in getting the work done. I was out of town when the work was done leaving my wife to approve it.  In the end the job they did looks good and I consider the price to be fair.  It was the scheduling issue that really bothered me.

    Straight Line Fence
    The crew from Straight Line did an amazing job.  We had over 700' of fence put in between a total of 31 brick columns.  The brick work was a very expensive investment for us and Aaron and his team took great care to ensure that the fence looked just as great as the brick work.  They also took into consideration that we have a few small dogs and they made the extra effort to ensure that there were no gaps along the bottom of the fence.  The crew took the time to talk to us about what we wanted and continued to check with us throughout the build to make sure that we were happy with the job.  The fence came out beautiful and it is very structurally sound.  I will never use another company other than Straight Line for fences or decks, they are worth every dime.

    The Handyman Clarksville LLC
    They initially installed my fence 7 years ago. Weather...particularly a few bad storms...damaged quite a few of the fence boards and warped the gate over time. I called the company on Tuesday, they made the appointment for Friday. The gentleman arrived punctually and did a quick inspection of the problem areas. He told me how much it would cost and said all the repairs would be done that afternoon and let me know who I could expect to arrive to do them. A few hours later, two employees arrived and did a great job. They were friendly, polite and professional. I asked them if they would mind going on the other side of my fence (into the neighbor's yard) to fix a few additional boards that were damaged, which they did with no objection (with my neighbor's approval). I am very happy with the service and feel like they did an excellent, thorough job in a reasonable amount of time. If I ever need any additional repairs, I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

    Straight Line Fence
    It took a while for the company to come out, but, that was weather related.  All of the employees were very skilled and did a fantastic job.  This section of our fence definitely looks the best and when we get ready we will be having them come out again to replace the rest.  This side of the fence was falling down.  The company replaced everything better then it ever was in the beginning and the materials used was top quality (no secondhand junk).  I believe this fence won't be in danger of falling!  Not only were the employees knowlegable, but friendly and answered all our questions.

    Awesome job. I had a few other companies give estimates but Handyman of Clarksville was the most professional and knowledgable. Even when the weather wasnt permitting for work to be done I received phone calls updating me on their plan to get it finished. If I ever have any other work that needs done they will be my first call!!

    Yard Dog Fence
    I contacted this contractor because I had located their information on google. The google page brought me to their home page and facebook page. I reviewed their pictures and reviews. I am new to angie's list, so I was unable to access this site. Upon calling the Clarksville phone number, I had a scheduled appointment almost immediately. I was happy to set an appointment so promptly. The man that arrived at our residence was very helpful. He provided pictures, descriptions of the work to be performed, a quote, and also the names other fence good companies in the area because we are new to the area. The fence was quoted within out budget. We had a lower quote from a competitor (to remain nameless) but the man that quoted our fence was really the entire reason we went with this company. He provided the time to answer all our questions and concerns and even gave us his card and said to call anytime with any further questions.
    The work was promised to be completed in 10 days. It was completed in 9. We are extremely pleased with the level of service Yard Dog Fence provided and will be recommending this company to our friends. We asked how we could help their company and they replied " Quality Counts most, but good reviews is was we work towards in our business". So, here we are posting our first review on Angies List. Thanks Guys for the great looking fence and gate!
