    Friedrich, Dr. David L.
The technician did not take the time to get the prescription right. When I complained that things things were fuzzy, she blamed my cataracts instead of asking me if her prescription was clearer or fuzzier than my current glasses. It was fuzzier. Obviously, I could not fill the prescription and ended up going to another doctor and getting the test done over again. It was a complete waste of time and money.

    Eyeglass World
They offer ophthalmology, and they also offer the actual eye glass service which means selling eye glasses. The doctors side was fine, but the eye glass side was less than stellar. They could communicate better with the insurance company on billing and  be more clear on pricing on regards to billing. They are still sending me bills.

Drs Seal Lawrence & Nicola MDs
Dr. Seal called me at home to check on my symptoms.  Met me at her office and preformed several thorough exams before deciding that I was in a stable condition.  She advised on what symptoms to watch for to predict if my condition was worsening.  She advised to call her immediately if these symptoms presented.  I will see her tomorrow for a follow up appt.  She is a fantastic Dr. and I trust her with my vision.

    DiStefano, Dr. Deborah
Setup a 2 hour consultation. Took 3 hours for the first one and another 2 hours off work for the second session. Had to go back the second time because the machine that measures the size of my eye could not get an accurate reading. Had to redo the test a minimum of 10 times and after 4 medical assistants tried they still couldn't get it to work. Scheduled date for my surgery and received a phone call from the scheduling staff, not the medical staff or doctor, the week before stating that Dr. DiStefano wanted to change the type of surgery and do a completely different procedure. There was another surgeon who could do this surgery and he was only available 2 days per month as he was coming from Atlanta.I would have to setup yet another consultation with him. Not only was the procedure much more invasive, it was one I had never hear of. Gave up after that and went to Dr. Stephen Hamilton in Atlanta. Best eye doctor in the south. Cost was a little more but worth every penny. His office was professional from my first phone call to my last follow up visit. The same eye test that took more than 10+ tries was completed in one try with his staff. When I asked about the surgery that had been recommended other than Lasik, he stated that I was a perfect candidate for Lasik and was not sure why that had been recommended. It's been two years, my surgery went smoothly and have had no problems. Worth every mile, every penny for peace of mind. You only have two eyes. If you have any doubts about your doctor or their staff, immediately seek a second opinion. My brother had his eyes done by Dr. DiStefano about 5 years before I did. He had multiple problems afterwards and they charged extra ($300) per eye for dry eye plugs after the procedure. We thought that was the way Lasik was supposed to go, but after my experience we realized it was not normal. Run, don't walk from this office.

    Eyear 1 Hour Optical Inc
How did it go? Poorly. First they had misplaced the wall mounted eye chart and had to locate it and place it in its proper position. Then they had me look in the machine into which you look at a figure in the background that many optometrists use now which provides a preliminary prescription. I then went into the optometrist's area and he put those settings into the device they use where you sit in the chair and they flip lenses. I couldn't see anything, it was all a blur. He checked my current glasses and put that into the device, and while better it was still blurry. That was for my left eye. He then cleaned the lens on the device and my vision cleared. Unbelievable, to use a dirty lens to check vision. The same thing happened with my right eye, the lens had to be cleaned to allow me to see the chart. My prescription had changed slightly according to his settings. He then placed a grid of lines into my vision and moved them until the lines were sharp and declared that was the prescription for reading glasses ( I don't wear bifocals, but carry two sets of glasses).
The new distance glasses were okay, usable if not ideal. The reading glasses were useless for anything more than a foot from my face. Difficult to read a book much less a computer. I returned and asked for my old reading lenses, they had given me the old distance lenses when I picked up the glasses, and was told they had thrown them away. Luckily I had an old pair of reading glasses at home I'm able to use until I get an exam and glasses from someone competent.

    Hanna Eyecare
Dr. Hanna is wonderful! Down to earth, easy to talk to, informative, and thorough. The only thing I wish were different was that the office does not accept care credit as a form of payment. Everything else was exceptional! He and his staff are so personable and helpful. I am glad I found Hanna Eyecare!

    Chattanooga Eyecare, Dr. Leslie Draper
Dr. Draper followed up on my dry eye issue by researching and sending me additional information through the mail later. I was pretty impressed that she took the time (this wasn't a billable item, just something she undertook for me) on her own to do this. Dr. Draper has a optician who fits the glasses and helps with selection. The selection is rather small and seemed very expensive. Next time I might go to Dr. Draper for my exam but take my prescription to a less expensive optician.

    Kapperman and White Eyecare
It is difficult to get in, but I appreciated the fact that they were able to get me in to see the doctor I wanted to see, even though he was booked through December. It was the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. They use the most recent and up to date technology and equipment and I was very impressed.

    Thompson and Lett Eye Care
I was early for my exam and was brought back into a room early, very nice expected to wait until my appt time. I had an excellent exam, and every question I had was answered very patiently. Dr Thompson has great manners and is a very nice man!

    Randall Funderburk MD
The only thing I have ever encountered with Dr. Funderburk is absolute excellence. I have already recommended him. My brother goes to him. He is the best retinal surgeon anywhere around and he is also a very outstanding kind and caring person.
