AJ Brewer and AssociatesFor 23 years, our three boys grew up sharing a bathroom. After all this time, the bathroom desperately needed renovation. JJ Brewer & Associates transformed a sow's ear into a silk purse. Our project included replacing the bathtub area with a full walk-in tiled shower, retiling the floor, removing a wall and replacing much of the existing wall, repainting, and replacing the cabinets and fixtures. In all, the project took about 2 months. They did a fantastic job. I would definitely hire them again for my next project. They were courteous and professional. We discussed everything, and they provided me with options that I had not thought of. AJ Brewer and AssociatesOverall the total project went really well. We had several parts to the kitchen remodel. Jon’s crew assessed extent of a water leak, which had damaged existing cabinetry and flooring. They recommended a plan of action along with a timeline and repair costs. The work progressed in a timely fashion. Jon’s crew were professional, did not smoke in the house and cleaned up their work area. We were able to find additional, closely matching cabinetry so we were able to improve the layout of the kitchen and add features we wanted like a new pantry and a swing-up shelf for my stand mixer, new countertops, backsplash and dishwasher. AIMPROVE AMERICA INCThis was a complex project and everything went extremely well. For any significant financial expenditure, my wife and I automatically check Angie?s List to get ideas about qualified proven vendors. After deciding to tackle a major home addition/renovation, we did so once again and noted that Improve America (a Mel Madaris company) led the pack of contractors listed in terms of positive reviews. We were immediately drawn to Mr. Madaris, as his previous company sided our house 12 years ago. Our experience with Mel was extremely positive back then, and we felt confident that would be the case once again. Our confidence was not misplaced. In spite of the fact that we dealt with some weather issues, the entire project was completed in about 10 weeks. Our project manager (Wayne) demonstrated an incredible depth of knowledge and very high standards throughout the work. His expertise was particularly invaluable as we opened up areas of the old house to the new addition through removing three different load-bearing walls. In time we referred to Wayne as a ?construction artist?, as the quality of his work was so impeccable. All other crewmembers and contractors involved were wonderful and very professional as well. All workers were conscientious about cleaning up at the end of each workday. As mentioned before, this is a 37 year old home and ?issues? (e.g. bad sub flooring due to water damage) were revealed as the project was underway. All were properly addressed. Everyone demonstrated a ?customer comes first? attitude along the way whenever we suggested minor modifications to the plan. We commend Mr. Madaris for his coordination throughout the project. The number and scheduling of different contractors and service/material providers was extensive (think of herding cats), yet he kept things moving along at a brisk pace. As we finalized project details, Mel offered some great suggestions that enhanced our plan. He was consistently accessible whenever we wanted to touch bases. As a side note, my wife and I are believers in the concept that ?you get what you pay for?. We chose not to shop around a lot for other contactors, hoping to reduce cost a bit, feeling confident that Improve America could handle the diverse scope of project needs and that a high quality of work would be ensured. This turned out to be the case. We are extremely pleased with the our new home and give Improve America our highest recommendations when considering any home improvement project.- Dane W.

AJ Brewer and AssociatesAll work was first class and professional. They worked in very hot conditions without complaint. Everyone was polite and here when they said they would be. Most work was done for the price of the estimate unless other small jobs were added, like putting a planter along one side of the lower porch. This was only the last of many jobs they did for us starting with replacing the front door, installing new downspouts, cleaning gutters, installed Pergo flooring in living room and dining room ( including doing an excellent job leveling the floor), installed kitchen flooring and countertops, removed and replaced existing windows on front of house, touched up interior and exterior paint, installed new mater bath vanity countertop and probably more that I have forgotten. All work was done on time, the communication was great, people showed up when they said they would. Jared refinished my bathroom cabinet when I couldn't find a new one that I liked better. It looks great -- much better than anything I could have purchased. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. They were great with my dogs. ABleu Bayou Remodeling, LLCThis is the first time I've ever written a review for any product or service in my life, but my husband and I feel extremely compelled to spread the word about our experience with the contractors at Dare Remodeling. In an industry that's become so impersonal and swindling, we were fearful about entrusting our whole home remodel to just anyone, but Adam and Andrew have made what is famously a long, messy, agonizing, and expensive process into something actually pleasant. We had a very distinct vision of how we wanted this house to feel, but we were so overwhelmed by how to organize it all into a cohesive plan. However, Adam and Andrew are so confident and comfortable with their knowledge of infrastructure, products, and design that they put us quickly at ease as we worked together on how to break this project into phases that wouldn't have to uproot our life or our wallet. They have been in communication with us at every step of the way about the best route to take, about cheaper alternatives, and about what to expect. They have regularly checked in with us, but never been pushy. We've never felt like just another client on their list. Adam and Andrew are not mere representatives of some corporate franchise, they are the heart and soul of their company. Their work is impeccable, and there hasn't been one idea we've thrown their way (no matter how unconventional--such as using weathered fence planks to create a textured feature wall in our entrance hall) that they've even hinted would be a challenge. I truly believe these guys can do anything, and do it well beyond your expectations. They made a good impression on us from the very first consultation, a rainy day when Andrew and Adam actually put plastic/paper protectors around their shoes to prevent our floors from getting muddy! We are finally getting the house of our dreams, and we owe it all to Adam, Andrew, and the other crew members at Dare Remodeling. Thank you all so much!- Mariana B.

AInitially I called The Ready Family for a quote but had to leave a message. I received a call back quickly and first spoke to Adrianna then Leanna. Josh Young was the person to give us a quote. Josh came out and did measurements and gave us a quote. We didn't go with them because the quote came back a little higher than we were willing to pay; but all persons involved were very responsive, professional and kind.

AOur experience with Tiffany and Charles at Kitchens of Chattanooga has been excellent. We have admittedly been difficult clients, as we are doing most of the demo and construction work ourselves. This has resulted in minor tweaks to the layout that affected the layout of the cabinets, but they took these changes in stride and made sure things came together. Tiffany’s sense of style was a key factor in our decision to go with Kitchens of Chattanooga- I made it clear that I didn’t want anything boring or too traditional. She listened to my ideas, collaborated with me on Pinterest, and came up with a design that looks amazing installed- even better than her rendering! We will be needing a bathroom remodel at some point and will definitely use Kitchens of Chattanooga again.
