  • On the phone, I was given three different estimates without even seeing my house. I also had three appointments to have them come out for a free estimate with the understanding that if I liked the estimate I could have the work done that day or another day. They did not show for any of the appointments, and did not call to cancel. I called them each time, and they were nice and apologized, but then didn't show the next time either.

  • In late September 2017 my mother purchased a “coupon” from Angie’s List for “Housecleaning” by the company “Laura’s Home & Garden.” Due to a recent exacerbation of an old injury requiring surgery I, her son, would be moving back home due to the extended recovery time and circumstances. [Member Name Removed] contacted Laura of ‘Laura’s Home and Garden” to schedule the use of the coupon listed above. During the scheduling process there was some back and forth as to be expected to schedule. One big concern for [Member Name Removed] was having a family member in the home for the duration during the cleaning. Mrs. Laura tried to convince [Member Name Removed] multiple times there was no need for anyone to be present for her to complete the cleaning. [Member Name Removed] clearly verbalized to Mrs. Laura of her discomfort for a complete stranger to be in her home alone. Mrs. Laura informed [Member Name Removed] of the multiple background checks that had been completed on her in the past that she could be trusted. During the conversation [Member Name Removed] also conveyed to Mrs. Laura the area specifically that she wanted cleaned contain LOTS of knick necks and trinkets that would require removing, dusting and replacing them. After a couple back and forth conversations, an appointment was schedule for Mrs. Laura to arrive at 1200 on Wednesday January 24, 2018. On the evening of 01/23/18, Mrs. Laura contacted [Member Name Removed] advising she would arrive at 1000 the next day stating “I thought earlier would be better for you and your son.” On 01/23/18 Mrs. Laura arrived at the house at 1008. No contact was made to inform anyone of her delay or that she was on her way with some delay. Mrs. Laura arrived and knocked at the front door. I opened the garage door and made my way out to meet Mrs. Laura in the driveway. She was very startled, as she was NOT paying attention to her surrounds. She immediately became verbally agitated and irritated by the situation of me NOT opening and allowing her entry through the front door. I showed Mrs. Laura in to the bedroom and bathroom [Member Name Removed] spoke directly to Mrs. Laura about via phone. Immediately Mrs. Laura became very condescending and speaking derogatorily of my mother, [Member Name Removed]. If id had been left up to me, Mrs. Laura would have been directed back out the door and instructed to never return but my mother had already paid for the service and was obligated or else loose the money she had already spent. I bit my tongue and allowed Mrs. Laura to do her work. I sat in the living room watching TV as to NOT engage Mrs. Laura in anyway. With every trip through the living room, Mrs. Laura would make inappropriate comments about the residence and those living in it. With every pass by, Mrs. Laura would attempt to converse but I was VERY short in attempt to shut her down every time but she could NOT get the hint. Her professionalism was nonexistent. She felt it necessary to pry into my personal life, wanting to know what and how my injury occurred and where and what I did for employment. Shortly after Mrs. Laura began cleaning the bedroom and bathroom I head something in the room fall and break. I never confronted her as to what happened expecting she would be an adult and professional about the situation and vocalize the accident but that never occurred. We have since searched the room and cannot find the broken item and with so many things in the room we are unsure of what the item was. Mrs. Laura spent roughly five to five and a half hours in the room cleaning with a handful of trips outside for phone calls and “breathers.” After finishing up in the area requested to clean, Mrs. Laura made her way out to the living room and had a seat on the couch while rolling up the cord to her vacuum. Mrs. Laura said “I’ve done all I can do in there and were just goanna leave it at that.” She also asked that I tell my mother “An A+ rating on Angie’s List would get her 10% off a future cleaning if she so choses to have me come back again.” Mrs. Laura left after being here a little less than six hours.

    Later that evening while Google searching Laura Stephenson and Laura’s Home & Garden, a Facebook link page showed in the Google search. I clicked on the Facebook link to realize it was the personal page of Laura Stephenson, owner of Laura’s Home and Garden. To my amazement there were two posts made that day on the page concerning my mother’s residence. One post was a picture of a dusty bible from my mother’s bedroom while the other post was six pictures of the garage and front room of the residence with the statement “I think you would officially call this person a hoarder.” I find this behavior to be very inappropriate, disrespectful and unprofessional. I contacted Mrs. Laura directly via phone about the posts at which time she said, “I am not sure what you are speaking of but I will check into it.” My mother notified the Atoka Police Department and a complaint was filed. The posts and pictures I believe have since been removed and her personal account been made private. Through some reading on Laura’s Home and Garden’s Facebook page, this is not the first time this has occurred.

    My mother arrived home late that evening and noted the area’s “cleaned” were poorly cleaned with dust and dust bunnies remaining in areas she supposedly cleaned. Not to mention the complete and utter mess she made of the bathroom. Mrs. Laura emptied storage baskets that were in the closet and used them else where leaving things a complete mess.

    I find the whole experience with Mrs. Laura to have been horrible and unprofessional to say the least. I will NEVER recommend anyone purchase or use Laura’s services for any reason. I have attached the screenshots from the Facebook posts made by Mrs. Laura. Personally I feel that Angie’s List should take action against Laura for her inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. I can only imagine what might have occurred had no one been home during the time Mrs. Laura was there. Furthermore, I also find it appropriate the money paid, $99.00, for the “coupon” be refunded to [Member Name Removed] by Angie’s List as a gesture make things right for the inappropriate actions taken by Mrs. Laura

  • I would not recommend them. They stole from me. They broke valuable pieces of my collection. They sent somebody else and the girl said she didn't do anything. I about lost it. 

    They are bonded and licensed. I sent them pictures, and her answer was that she would give me a month free. One of the pieces was one of a kind and not replaced. 

    I think the price was okay for what they did. There were two people, every two weeks, for two hours. She was pretty good about sending somebody to my house. Our house isn't filthy, it's just dusty.

    I thought I would get a better response from her when this all happened, but it was more like, "I'm really sorry". Word of mouth is better than any advertisement they are going to get. To this day, I still can't believe. I still have pictures of what they did. It was about 15 pieces, and they hid them. I asked her where the honesty was. We all know people make mistakes, but don't hid the stuff and wait 3-4 weeks, and send out someone else. At least she was honest, and said she didn't do it. She was almost in tears. I knew she didn't do it because I was watching. 

    I have a separate mop for the bathroom and kitchen. I supplied everything. I bought all new mop and buckets. I didn't want other people's mops in here. I thought I would get a cut on that since I supplied them. This is my home and I thought that people respected it, but they don't. I didn't leave on a bad note. I just told them I was disappointed in them. I wanted it to work so much, but all she offered me was two housecleaning's. Really?

  • Top notch customer service! Quick and professional. I will never use any other company. Mr. Johnson and his co worker (sorry---I can't remember his name 🤔) are two of the finest people I've met in a very long time. They put customers first! Thanks guys.

  • The work involved trimming bushes, trees, cleaning flower bed sand adding mulch. In addition, a number of bricks came loose around the front door which needed mortar.  

    They arrived on time and stayed late each day. They were very hard working and very capable. They knew what they were doing. The agreement did not include removing the yard debris but they loaded it on my trailer multiple times so I could bring it to the dump.

    Although the cost was on the high side, their attention to detail was excellent and did not ask for any money until the job was done after two days of work.  I would highly recommend this company and plan on using them again.

  • Our dryer went out due to overheating of the element. Contacted our appliance repair and they told us it was due to the dryer vent being clogged and preventing heat to go out.  I emailed Sharon on Monday evening, not expecting a response until morning however, she called almost 5 minutes after I hit send on the email.
    Sharon told me should could be out at 9 on Wednesday and complete the job.  At 855 she pulled up in the driveway, unloaded here equipment and within the hour (at the most) she was done, cleaned up, and gone.  A very professional individual and will call her annually now to get this done.  I have also provided her name and number to several friends.

  • The experience was great!  I had very bad stains from my dog. I didn't think the stains would or could come out.  They got my carpets
    clean and they  look great and smell good also.  They gave me covers
    for my shoes so that I would not track dirt on my clean carpets!
    They were very professional and accommodating!  I had an emergency and needed
    them to come before 48 hours.  I ordered the service on Monday and  I
    called and Mr. Johnson was very nice and came out the next morning.  I
    really appreciated his effort to get my carpets clean in the time frame
    that I needed!  I will most certainly call them in the future and I will
    be recommending them to my family and friends!

  • They were very prompt arriving exactly as scheduled. They went right to work although as I explained in the paragraph above I was unaware this wasn't a real cleaning so was somewhat disappointed that I had to follow-up after and do what they didn't do. They weren't careful with my furniture and ran their vacuum into it on numerous occasions to the point that I started follow her around moving it myself.

  • A great value and super nice folks to work with!  They did an amazing job on bringing back the color on our 16 year old kitchen and bath tile floors and very dirty grout lines. An excellent service company that we would recommend for this kind of work.  Xtreme clean offers other cleaning services so check them out.
