  • We had a few attempted break in's in our neighborhood so i started looking
into getting a alarm system in our house. Ryan Coe happen to knock on
our door that same day and after talking to him i decided to go with his company. He is very
professional and cares about your family's safety. I was very pleased with
his professionalism and knowledge. i will recommend him to anybody who
is looking to get an alarm system in their home. I scheduled the
installation for the next day. The Tech who came to our house was David.
He was very nice and the installation took less than an hour. He
explained everything to us and the system is so easy to use. We needed a
2nd yard sign the next day and Ryan came out within 2 hours and put the
sign up. If you are looking for personnel customer service and security
for your home i highly recommend Power Home Technologies. Call Ryan Coe
@ 615-289-3434 and he will take care of your Security needs!

  • I called this company up to come look at our alarm system and security camera system and make a report for claims adjuster after our house at been hit by lightning. The owner, Clarence Hight, came out to the house and checked out my alarm system and security camera system. He said my alarm system mains board had parts on them that were damaged and also that the adapter that plugs into the wall was burning up inside and swelling up and probably would cause a house fire if I left it plugged in. He recommended changing out all parts of the alarm system that were wired to the mains board, and that the wireless part of the system, which consisted of window contacts, would be okay since they probably didn't get hit by lightning. He looked at my nine camera security camera system and determined that it was also damaged and had a bad camera and recommended replacement of the security camera system as well.
A couple of days later, he gave me a quote of about $9700 to replace the alarm system and the camera system. I asked why so much. He said the alarm system replacement was $2700 and $6000 to replace the camera system with a 16 camera system, because they did not make 9 camera systems anymore and 16 camera systems were the next thing that is comparable to the nine camera system that I had. I guess the other thousand was for labor for installation.
I told him I didn't think my insurance company would pay for a 16 camera system that cost $6000 when my camera system only cost me around $1,500. But he assured me that everything would be fine and that the insurance company would pay for this and that he had done this many times.
Then I got a call the next day from another guy that works with Clarence Hight, trying to set up an appointment for the installation the next day. I said that I haven't even talked to my insurance company yet, and he said that didn't matter and that they were going to go ahead and install it and me pay for it up front and then turn in an insurance claim for the total.
So I talked to my insurance claims adjuster, and told him the prices they gave me, and he said that there would have been no way in the world that they would have ever paid $6000 to replace a camera system that only cost me $1500 when I bought it new ten years earlier.
So what I learned from this was that this company tried to give me a high dollar figure for replacement cost, trying to up sell as much as possible and rush me to install the new systems, getting me to pay up front, knowing that my insurance company would never pay me back anywhere near the amount that they charged, but wouldn?t care because they?ve already got their money. So basically, I would have paid almost $10,000 for an alarm system and camera system to be installed and only gotten paid a fraction of that back when my insurance company claim paid me back.
I would warn against doing business with this company because of the attitude of the owner that is passed down to his employees, which is to try and take advantage of the public's lack of knowledge about insurance claims and the equipment and services he and his company provides.

  • Install was on time. The even removed old alarm panels and helped install
New door locks. Super nice and easy to work with. Followed up several times before install began.
