  • He did a great job, Not only did he do what he said he was going to do, but he was in and out and the place was spotless when he left. Our home looks gourgeous now and I cant believe how good it looks now. I would recommend Brushworks to not only my friends and neighbors but my family as well. I will be using them again for any future work we have done!

  • These two are very professional for a very reasonable price. They were flexible with hours allowing us to work in the offices during the day and they would paint at night, and were always responsive and completed the work on time. I would definitely hire Flachman again.

  • It has been a nightmare. I would tell anyone looking for a painter to run away! The owner of the company is a TERRIBLE communicator--he doesn't respond to calls, voicemails, texts, e-mails. After depositing our money, he ended up leaving us without a painted house.

  • Kevin and his team we very professional and was always working. All proper painting protocols were used and the bedrooms were put back together switches, light fixtures and blinds perfectly as if they were never removed. The walls were painted extremely well with no signs of needing any touch up. A really pleasant experience.

  • I was very pleased with the services provided by K & C. I have found them to be timely, efficient, and attentive to detail. They had taken special care not to drop paint on the floor/furniture and all was clean after they finished their work. I definitely plan to use their services in the future. Cost was very reasonable.

  • I joined so I could find someone reliable and reasonably priced. I contacted Tim late at night via Angie's message system. I was surprised to get a quick response that said he could come over the next day. I was on Spring Break, so I was able to be home to discuss the job. I told him to just message me what time.
The next day, Wendsday, I waited all day for a message to no avail. Finally, around 6 I messaged him on here and asked if he was still coming. He replied that day and said he had his son's 40th birthday to attend and it cut his day short. I thought it was weird that he didn't account for this party when he messaged me the night before since it was his own child's party, but I thought I'd give him another chance because he had good reviews. He said he would come over the next morning.
He came over and was great! He told me to get the permission of an electrician to start and call him back. He quoted me $1000.00 and I agreed that price was reasonable. I called an electrician after Tim left and scheduled an electrician to come over Friday morning.
In the meantime, I found out he also does fencing. I called him and asked if he could give us a quote for a privacy fence when he next came out. He said sure and everything was going well.
Friday morning, the electrician came over and gave us a thumbs up to start framing. I called Tim and he said he need a check for materials and would swing by later in the day to pick up the check and quote the fence. I waited all day and he never showed up. He has not call me since.
I don't know what happened. Was it us? Was it the size of the job? Was it because I forgot to offer you a beverage? Where did you go? If you went to the hospital, why didn't the other guy call me and let me know you couldn't make it?
I'm just glad we didn't give him a check!!

  • Kevin was always good about letting me know when he had to leave, etc.. but beyond that, communication was very poor as was his quality of work & professionalism.  We met with Kevin Liberko and picked out a design.  I made a point to show him our old wall design and made several statements indicating we wanted it to be SUBTLE like how the our old wall was.  He told me stories about how he asked one customer (because I told him that I am a big stickler on crisp lines where the wall & ceiling meet) if he could remove his toilet tank so he could make sure he was able to get behind the toilet with the design he was doing.  I had also asked him if we would get flood damage again, can this design on the wall be partially done and his answer was 'yes'.  I took this as him being very meticulous which was one reason I hired him but boy was I wrong!  His pricing is EXTREMELY high but I was willing to pay the extra for what I thought would have been quality work.  When he did a sample for us, I did state that the black in it needed to be softer and not so bold.  I thought at that point that we were on the same page but found out quick that we were not!

We ended up with what we call the "Madagascar wall" which did not match the design we had picked out or thought we were getting.  We could see roller marks in the job which I was able to capture with a camera, above our bathroom door was VERY poorly finished and very noticeable, blend job was very poor, and lines were very poor where wall/ceiling met.  I had pointed out multiple times via email, text and showed him in person the poor quality and the response I got was one that he would have to redo the entire thing and didn't know when he would be able to redo because he was going out of town.  He also said he would have to redo the entire thing because he cannot just touch up spots, which is not the same answer we got in the beginning.  In a response email, he claims that I agreed the design & color matched exact, which never happened.  He did hold the sample up to the wall and after 3 or more attempts, found ONE area where it was SIMILAR to the sample.  I never once said or indicated that it matched exact but had stated that in that area he was holding it next to was kind of SIMILAR but still different.   When I explained to him that we believed we were getting a stretched version of the sample, he made the statement that he does not feel the need to explain his samples based on industry standards but then in a different sentence stated that it is up to the customer to envision his sample in their space.

After much stress and headache, we came to an agreement of $500 for a wall he knew had significant flaws and that we were going to have to paint over it.  I offered, out of courtesy on my behalf, a photo of the wall painted over in which we never once set a date of when the photo was to be received.  He sent us an invoice for $500 marked 'Final Invoice' in which we paid within 3 days of receiving and not anywhere on the invoice did it indicate the price was based on receiving a photo but regardless, I still had planned on sending him a photo.

After he was clear that he felt he gave us what we had picked out, which we disagreed, and it was obvious we would receive the same wall but be charged $1400 more had we proceeded to let him redo it, we hired a different painter.  The new painter understood the meaning of the word "subtle", charged us $590 for the same wall, doing a very nice textured design that Mr Liberko would have charged well over $3k for.  We were having issues getting the new painter in and had to reschedule it at least twice due to holidays or due to supplies not showing up.  Even though we had been in contact with Mr. Liberko on when the wall was being rescheduled, etc.. I was continually sent emails threatening a lien on our house even though he knew the situation as to why the wall had not been painted over yet.  Approximately every 1 1/2 to 2 weeks, I had an email asking for the photo and mention of putting a lien on our house.  He indicated how we had his design being displayed that wasn't paid, even though he cashed the $500 we sent for our agreement less than 2 weeks after we sent it.

When I was trying to get another date scheduled with the new painter, we had already decided to primer over the wall because I had a feeling another nasty email was coming from Mr Liberko.  Sure enough, I received another email from Mr Liberko stating that I had 2 weeks to send him a photo or he would place a lien on our house.  He proceeded to say how we can either paint over the wall ourselves or hire another person to do it until our selected painter was available.  In another email, he felt the need to explain what a lien was, which I already know what it is along with timelines, instead of reading my email explaining he has no merit of putting a lien on our house when his work WAS paid for!  But again - his communication skills are not there and he didn't understand that when someone has already paid you and all you are waiting for is a photo of the wall being painted over, there is no need to harass them and threaten liens on their house!

I have never in my entire life dealt with someone who plays victim when taking advantage of people like Mr Liberko does.  Not only was his quality of work extremely poor, but so was his professionalism & communication.  I would not recommend his work to anybody. We were already going through a very stressful situation with storm damage and flood damage but then having to deal with someone like this was more stressful than the damage in itself.   I don't normally send bad reviews on people but this prompted me to try and ensure others do not have to go through what we did.  If I can figure out how to attach photos, I will do so.  I was going to give Mr Liberko an F rating but to be fair, due to his responsiveness and punctuality, I felt a D was maybe deserving.  If it were solely based on the work, professionalism, & price, it would hands down be an F rating.

  • I was very happy with KC painters. They were down to earth and not looking to rake me over. I had previously attempted getting a quote from a painter that I know and he basically did want the struggle of taking the shutters off the home. I called KC painters and they gave me a quote later the next day and I said go. After seeing there work I gave them more work due to their work quality. I would recommend KC painters anytime. I'm someone who is not afraid of a project, but my time is very limited. I was very happy to have found them and have passed their name onto two of my friends. Good Guys and not afraid to work....

  • Kevin and Cory arrived within minutes of the time we set. They were very friendly and courteous. They got right to work and patched some holes before they started painting. The paint job turned out great!
My only complaint was that they left quite a mess for me to clean up. Upon cleaning up that mess, I notice quite a bit of splatter that had landed on my newly refinished hardwood floors. I immediately let Kevin know and he came right back to clean it up. All was fixed and he was very apologetic. I would use Kevin and Cory again but I'm not sure I would leave them alone at the house to paint as the original mess that was left was kinda a bummer to clean up.

  • I stopped in to ask about special paint for my skylight shafts because the paint tends to peel from the heat and condensation. Spent several minutes discussing the options and the clerk promised to check on various paints and give me a call. I never heard from them.
