  • Whether it's a routine check-up, fillings, or crowns, Dr. Haave is outstanding in every aspect of dentistry.  Ashton is also excellent in dealing with our cleaning appointments and is very caring and friendly.  Office staff is friendly and consideratel.  We are so glad that we switched to this outstanding dental office.

  • We took our 3 year old son to see Dr. Howard because of recurring tonsil infections.  He also snores really bad at night and our pediatrician thought he would benefit from a tonsillectomy.  We were so impressed from the very outset.  The front office staff was very polite and we didn't have to wait at all.  The exam rooms are very clean and appear to be very modern and up to date.  Dr. Howard was a very good listener and had an excellent bedside manner.  He is from the area and it shows.  You can tell he really cares about the people in this community.  The surgery went very well and Dr. Howard even gave us his cell phone number in case we needed anything over the weekend.  We had to call him late one night because our little kiddo had a low grade fever.  Dr. Howard was so polite and helpful.  In the end, we are so pleased.  Our little boy is breathing SO MUCH BETTER.  Also, he has not had any strep infections since the surgery which was several months ago.  Dr. Howard is our favorite doctor and we would recommend him to anyone.

  • I had a series of very helpful physical therapy session with Chris Schlegel. His treatments were gentle and subtle, but very effective. The facility is clean, comfortable, well equipped, and visually pleasing with a wall of windows facing Founder's Park. All staff were very friendly. The only problem with the experience was that I thought they had secured approval for my sessions, when really all they did was confirm my insurance coverage. In the end, I had a hefty bill to pay.
    Turns out there were a number of communication failures that resulted in my having to pay for my treatments. I had recently moved to Rapid City, and had no orthopedic doctor yet. From their advertising, I understood the Physical Therapy Center "needed no doctor referral";  I misunderstood what that meant about my insurance coverage. I called the Center to initiate treatment; they told me that they had checked with my insurer and I was "good to go".  I did not understand that they had called and confirmed that I was insured; not that the treatments would be covered.
    I had not checked with my insurance carrier myself before starting these treatments;  when I got the bill from The Physical Therapy Center, I  called my insurer to see why they had not paid for these treatments as they had for all my treatments last year.  I found out that last year, my carrier had mistakenly paid for my PT claims with no physician referral or pre-authorization. I thought it strange at the time, but just assumed the insurer had changed their requirements, as they so often do. That's why I thought my treatments at the Physical Therapy Center were going to be covered without doctor referral, and why I was so surprised at the balance I owed in the end.
    I will use the center again, but will be very careful to have doctor referral, and to clear everything with my insurer myself before going.

  • I have been seeing Dr. Hanson for probably about 10 years. What keeps me coming back to him is that he is just an excellent dentist so there is not too many like him. I want to rate him really high. He is very thorough, especially in his exams he is very thorough and he keeps probing trying to figure out what is wrong. He is very personable, he has got a good personality.

  • Dr Henderson took his time and did a thorough exam. He found all the trouble spots and adjusted them. I have been to many Chiropractors who seem as though they need you in and out of there in 5 minutes or less. Dr Henderson took his time to make it right.

  • The PA there didn't address my symptoms and wouldn't return my calls. Dr. Barrett was at Urgent Care that day, sent me to the hospital for a CT scan because my symptoms could have been caused by a life-threatening condition, which was found not to exist. She treated me with steroids and a nebulyzer to open up my airways and get oxygen to my body. I felt better immediately. She and her nursing staff were wonderful.

  • Today was the last straw with their staff.; Repeated mistakes in billing - it takes repeated calls to get them fixed. Today they refused to bill a health exam I took just to satisfy insurance requirements in the way that insurance requested to have it paid for under that program - I simply needed a lab test recoded and they refused. I have also heard them be obstinate with other patients in ways that did not have to be. My husband sees multiple doctors, and I have never had these kinds of problems with other providers.
    In addition, outside of an appt., it is impossible to communicate with the doctors except thru their staff, who have at least several times in the past miscommunicated the messages to or from the doctors, and in fact have lied or misconstrued the truth to make themselves look better; I have a friend who has had a similar experience here. All in all, the doctors are fine, but the staff comes across as very uncaring. There are better options in Rapid City.
    Note from Spouse: I once spoke to a nurse concerning refilling a prescription. I contacted them several days before the scrip ran out as part of planning ahead. The nurse became confused, defensive, and finally belligerent as I tried to explain I was calling ahead and did not want it filled early, I was only calling early. She accused me of being a drug addict so I hung up. When my wife called them the nurse had lied to the Dr. about what she and I had said. The doctor believed the nurse while admitting what the nurse said that I had said was completely contrary to my personality. (While in the waiting room for appt.s I have overheard several other patients have similar experiences from rude nurses.)

  • My husband took me to Rapid City Medical Center.  Dr. Rafferty ordered blood and urine tests.  His diagnosis was an appendices. He then sent me to Rapid City Regional Hospital for a CT scan to confirm his diagnosis.  I had surgery the next morning.  Dr. Rafferty was kind and caring.  He diagnosed my problem quickly and got me the help I needed.

  • I absolutely love this place! I've gone to them in the past for manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages. It is a very relaxing atmosphere and their new location is awesome. No more trying to find a parking spot downtown! They are a little bit pricey, but the extra few dollars I spend going to them is worth it in my opinion. I've tried some other places in town for massages and facials, and the service was always hit or miss. When I book an appointment at Mystique Edge, I KNOW I'm going to have a great experience.
