    Tow Pros
I witnessed one of the drivers for this company in a giant tow truck beep and flip off a group of children for an entire city block. Oh what planet is that professional or ok. This website was made to help people (mostly women) find safe, professional help. Avoid this company! They clearly have no regard for professionalism or family values.

    RAPID CHEVROLET CADILLAC
When Rapid Chevy was still on Deadwood Ave, they were absolutely worth the time and money. But since they moved to the new location, they could not possibly get any worse with their customer service and work they perform. Still the same people, but they are not working the same as they did before. On a couple different visits, I scheduled my vehicle to be there right away in the morning. One for a lube/oil/filter, and one for the electrical issue. The LOF day, the truck was there at the 730 scheduled time. But the truck wasn't even brought into the bay until after 1100. I was waiting at the business for the truck to finish. The electrical system issue, key would not activate the solenoid and the battery would drain overnight, I scheduled a morning appointment on a Wednesday. John was the service writer I worked with. The car was there on time. I did not hear anything about the car until Friday afternoon and was told that they have not had time to look at it yet, I would have to wait until the next week. The next week came and on Tuesday, they called and said they needed this particular part. I ok'd the part to be brought in and placed in the car. I was told it would be done Wednesday morning. By Friday of the week, I had not heard from the business and called to ask if the car was ready. I was told no, that again they could not get to the car and I would have to wait until next week. I asked if he was joking with me, and was told by the writer (John) that he was not kidding. I told him that I was told the car was supposed to be ready two days ago. He said that they hadn't had time to get to it. I asked when it would be gotten to, and he said it would next week. I, not so politely, told him that this was a three day weekend, at best, I would not see the car until Wednesday which means that they would have had my car for two weeks. Not that it isn't enough so far, but it took another week before they called and said that the car was ready. I told them I was out of town for work and would be in on Tuesday, 4 days away, to pick the car up. I went to pick the car up and spoke with John again to get the car. After finishing the paperwork, we went out to get the car and the car would not start. John said that this was just the battery was dead. I said that this was part of the electrical system issues that brought the car to them in the first place. He brushed me off and got the car started. He said it was all good and ready to go. I asked him what to do if the car was not repaired, and he said to bring it back. I told him, ok, if I were you, I wouldn't put anything in this parking spot because if the problem starting this car was any indication, I did not believe that the car was fixed. John said it is just fine, the car will work. The next day, I went out to start the car and it was exactly the same as it was when I took it in three weeks ago. I drove it back and walked in and told John that I told him the car was not fixed. I gave them the keys and told them it needs to be fixed. I was pushed over to Chris, the service manager, and nothing changed. The car was there for another 10 days with nothing repaired. In the end I told them that I would never be back to Rapid Chevrolet for maintenance and would not buy another vehicle from them because it is unknown if the service people had to do anything to the vehicle. Absolutely the worst customer service period. They will let you schedule your appointment, but they will get to it at their own time. Being without the car for over a month was ridiculous enough, but after all that and having to take the car somewhere else to finally get it fixed was just beyond belief. All I can say is if you want your car fixed,,,, AVOID this place at all costs.

    AUTO ADVANTAGE
Buyer beware. Shop here at your own risk! Purchased 2014 F150 Raptor. Radiator, etc blew up after 1-1/2 months. Dealer provided "clean" CarFax listing one owner and no issues. Upon taking for repair (2K out of pocket) discovered that dash VIN and door VIN don't match. Door is from 2013 model that had been issued a junk/salvage title. None of this was disclosed and upon raising this issue with dealer they ceased all communication with me. Referred me to insurance agent who only told me info I already knew in that parts weren't covered. So now have a 40K loan on a disabled vehicle that I've got to put around 2K into in order to see if block is cracked or if it will even run.

    Executive Auto Shippers LLC
I did not pay extra for a hard sided trailer but I did receive that and was happy. Driver was upset that car had items in it, even though EAS's policy is up to 100 lbs. I didn't have near that much. That was the only issue. EAS's staff were very nice and responsive. Shipping was on time.

    Al's D & I Repair
We took our car to Al's on a busy Monday morning and requested an emergency fix so our vacation wasn't interrupted. Stan (I think) was outstanding and was able to fix our car and get us on the road. We were in a tough spot and were happy to find trustworthy people like this even though it's unlikely we will be back to South Dakota. Highly recommend this shop.

    Al's D & I Repair
They didn't reset the "oil change reminder" light so my car still thinks it needs an oil change. It was wet and snowy when I took it in so they couldn't see where the leak was I'll take it back now that the roads are dry,

    TRI-STATE TIRE & AUTO MNTNC
Their price was compettive with everyone elses price. They called me and said they couldn't do it because of some other issues. When I went in there they talked me through the process and helped set me up knowledge-wise and I was able to get the parts and do it myself. I felt this was honest and helpful.

    Bargain Barn Tire Ctr
PLEASE READ! Recently I took my 2001 f350 to bargain barn to have struts put on the front, and all new rotors, pads, and calipers. After paying two grand for the service I checked everything out before I left. They hadn't even put the struts on my truck ($300 worth of parts that I paid for) which wasn't a big deal but kind of discouraging. I told them about it, and they put them on. So I drove home. The next morning I took it for a long test drive. Once I got home my left rear caliper was smoking! I called the manager Greg and calmly told him what was going on. He said that I needed to bring it in right away. On my way back I was going 35 down Sheridan lake road turning onto Jackson and completely lost steering, almost crashing my 12,000lb truck into another vehicle. The vehicle noticed and slammed on their brakes and I ended up in creekside's lawn over the curb. I inspected it. Bargain barn forgot to put cotter pins in the castle nuts on my tie rods so it came out when steering hard causing me to have zero control over the vehicle. I calmly called Greg and told him what was going on. Tow pros towed my truck to bargain barn. They said they would fix it and apologized. If I had been on the highway I might not be writing this message today. After getting my truck back from bargain barn for the third time I noticed right away that the truck was pulling to the right when braking (not to mention that someone had taken my keys, unlocked my toolboxes and rifles through my expensive belongings) so I took it back again. They had to replace both front calipers and do an alignment on my truck. I talked to the owner, Jim Wies about this. And he said "well we got it fixed didn't we?" Well yea Jim, the SIXTH time is the charm right? Not to mention I could have killed myself because of your mechanic. I encourage anyone to call me (including you Jim) at 605-415-3026. Thank you. My name is Travis.

    Mark's Auto Repair
The transmission was overfilled and sprayed fluid all over the bottom of vehicle and leaked on the carport. That was on Friday so I had to wait until Monday to have it looked at.  This basically left me without a vehicle I could trust. When I took it to the shop I hope was fixed.  No apology for the inconvinence. I will never return.

    PAUL'S AUTO REPAIR
Blew the engine on my Eclipse GT, Paul's Auto Repair had it replaced in just a couple of days and now she purrs like a kitten. Called around for quotes and was given prices starting at 1500 to 2500 bucks. Paul quoted me 1000 and threw in replacing the timing belt for only 100 for a total 1200. Excellent quality of service for the best prices you'll find in rapid city. I will be using this shop again for any future work.
