  • Notified a couple days later that bike was ready, I was working out of town, so I picked it up on July 2 and was presented a bill of $128.  I did not complain about the additional $28 (as I probably should have).  Upon taking the bike to work the next day, the rear wheel immediately went back out of true...even worse than it was before.  When I called Dakota Outdoors about this, the repairmen remarked:  "I was afraid of that; the rims on older bikes like that will usually go right back out of true.  I can re-true it by replacing more spokes ($1.50/each) or I can replace the whole rim for $35.  I asked him why he hadn't informed me of all this the first time, and he simply said "I wasn't there."  I took the bike back, agreed to the rim replacement (now I'm out $25.95 for a wheel true they knew probably wouldn't work, plus another $35 for a rim).  I was informed the repair was made the next day, but was not able to pick it up until July 15.  At this time, the chrome "quick release" rim which had originally been installed on the bike had been replaced by a standard brushed-aluminum rim, and I was charged $42.35 (including a $5.00 labor fee which the repairman on the phone promised to drop).  Additionally, the "retro" reflector I had installed on the back rim had been tossed out along with the original chrome/steel rim.  When I brought all this up with the sales associate, he gave me the manager's card and the excuse that "he hadn't done the repair."  When I phoned back in, yet another man answered the phone and said he would try to find a matching "quick release rim," which he would install for free.  (I was not given back my original receipt as I had specifically requested, by the way.)  A week later, and no contact from Dakota Outdoors, I returned to the shop only to be told they couldn't find a matching chrome rim, but would order another brushed aluminum rim with "quick release" if that would "make me happy."  When I suggested that since this was my third trip for the same repair, they should also replace the front rim (so both match) I was informed by the manager that I was "being difficult."  (I assume this was the manager) told me he would be happy to order a matching rim for the front, but that would cost me extra.  Sadly, companies like Dakota Outdoors are the reason why I am not always sympathetic to appeals for "buying local."  They are extremely overpriced, their service and attitude are very poor, and their communication is even worse.

  • I went into the office and told the receptionist what happened and when. She asked me to have a seat and they would get me worked in. I was seen by Dr. Opp very shortly after. My drown was cemented back on and I was on my way in less than 45 minutes!

  • Staff was always very friendly when I've brought my 7 year old in the past, and help true to this visit as well. I decided to bring my two small boys for a dentist visit. The dental hygienist is very nice and patient with my children. She understands their apprehension and fear of something new and a bit scary with all the strange tools. She played a movie and was able to clean and examine their teeth rather well. She and the dentist answered any questions politely and were helpful with our concerns. The boys even got a small toy as we left. I believe they will do fine with our next visit as well.

  • We were there from 1pm Monday until 9pm Tuesday.
I did feel that we were tending to his needs more than the nurses. My husband and I alternated who stayed with him during his stay. We fed him and ordered his meals, we changed his diapers, we had to ask to get his heat compress changed, we tended to his needs every minute he was there. We are the parents I know, but I somewhat expected the nurses to be more involved, especially since he was the only patient in the ward up until the last few hours we were there.  If I had the ability to have an IV at home, we could have saved $1000's it cost for the overnight stay.

  • Impressed with the quality of the office equipment. I was told that several items are state of the art and they are the only office in the area to have several pieces of the equipment to provide better service. My kids are schedule for next month for their checkups.

  • Did ask lots of questions about my shoulder.
Did tell me I didn't need X-rays as nothing would show up - saving money.
Did tell me about his work and treatment of other similar injuries.
Didn't push me for a long term or on-going care regime

  • I would give him a poor review. He turned in half an insurance claim on a partial and the partial is all wrong. He has my good partial but won't give me the partial until I pay the other half of it when he's already turned in the claim. He's probably got $1200-$1300 of my insurance money and he won't give me my partial until I pay up. I am not happy with him at all.

  • My family and I had recently moved to the Aberdeen area and needed to find a child-friendly dentist in the area. We were sold the minute we walked in the door. We were greeted by the friendliest office staff and given a tour of the facility. The office is tastefully decorated and comfortable complete with a "kid" area with drawing walls/markers, game console, and books (my kids' favorite). When my kids were called back (after a very brief wait), they were given each a tote of goodies to enjoy (tee shirt, coloring book, and of course dental supplies). Both my kids had a very good time with the hygienist as well as the dentist. The dentist was very friendly, took his time, and paid extra special attention to my kids' dental needs as well as sensitivity towards possible apprehension. During our visit we learned that this facility offers a "Miles of Smiles" day at the local Storybook Land full of characters, games, and great fun and its free for all and funded solely be the facility! Needless to say I booked appts for my husband and I. During our visits, we found the same great service and dental care. However, instead of getting a "goodie bag" my husband got a certificate for a full service car wash, and I got a gift pack from Bath and Body and a Parfarin wax hand treatment while I relaxed on a massaging dental chair! And no, it did not cost more. Our appointment was comparable in price to our previous dentist, but with so much more service.

  • We arrived and were taken back within 10 mins. The doctor explained how everything looked and showed me the x-rays of all of my childrens' teeth so I could see what he was talking about. If we needed additional work he works with your schedule! You get an estimate on what the approximate cost will be out of pocket and so far every time he has been OVER! Who doesn't like to spend less money than expected!!!!

  • The nicest dentist I have ever been to. Dr. Jacobs and his staff are all a class act. They will go beyond the call of duty to provide the best and most comfortable environment possible. I was told by a 6 year old about Dr. Jacobs and she promised me that he would not hurt me. When I met Dr. Jacobs and told him the story he told me that that little 6-year is a very brave little girl and that she told the truth. After 4 year of seeing Dr. Jacobs she was a 100% correct. I would travel 500 miles to see him. He really knows how to put a person at ease that had a terrible childhood experience with a Dentist.
