My thanks to Jared and everyone at All American Heating and Air. Aire Serv of Central Sc
They offered several options on work to be done on the furnace. Because my AC system struggled last summer, I chose to replace the entire system. They gave me 4 different price packages and did not pressure me at all about which package to choose.

    Cool Crafters
After using one company, who had originally installed the unit; and having numerous and continuous repairs I was given Javeds name by a friend. She said he was honest and reasonably priced. Javed came and sorted out a huge mess. I cant help but wonder if the other company never fixed to keep me calling them? Since I have been using Cool Crafters I have had very few repairs. Javed comes twice a year to provide regular maintenance. If I have a problem he is prompt to arrive. His prices are very fair for his service. Javed is extremely honest and professional.

    All American Heating and Air
We have an annual maintenance agreement with another company. Our heat stopped working and we called them out. The repair cost was high for an older unit so we got quote to replace. I called two other companies the same day to come out and quote to replace. Bobby was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. I think it says a lot about a company when you have employee that have worked for you for 15+ years. He gave the quote and he explained the brand that would be installed (as I was no familiar with Goodman) was similar to the Amana unit we currently had in place. He didn't try to "up-sell" me to higher SEER unit because he explained this would require replacing/upgrading the zoning board and if there was nothing wrong with the current board, the 14 SEER unit was the best option. I met with Bobby at 4pm on a Thursday and All American had a team out the next day. Nate was who I dealt with on the day of install and he was great to work with. We will be dealing with All American for our future HVAC needs, including yearly maintenance/service agreement.

Cassell Brothers Heating & Cooling LLC
The representative Sam Cassell was very professional, knowledgeable and nice. He took an entire afternoon with us. The installers were very professional, and the group had good commeraderie. All answered any question we had and made us feel comfortable. The Cassell Brothers were everything we heard they were and were very satisfied and happy we used them.

Cassell Brothers Heating & Cooling LLC
All work was performed when promised, on time, all personnel were friendly and very professional. Once the unit was installed, service personnel took adequate time to walk my wife and I through the various modes of operation and provided us his cell phone number to call if we hand any additional questions or operational problems. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a HVAC service company.

    ASAP MECHANICAL LLC
ASAP put in our unit in 2015 and did a fair job. I was told by the owner that they would call us when it is time to get serviced. Since then I always have to call them since they never call us. This fall I called, and the man who showed up took a long time to "check" the unit only to tell us that everything was okay. He did not have a filter but said he would come back with one. He never showed back up. We ended up buying our own from Amazon and putting it in ourselves. When ASAP sent us a bill they tried to charge $50.00 for the filter (it was much cheaper from Amazon). They also charged $155.00 for the service. I sent them the $155.00 only of course. We also asked if they would give us an estimate for some duct work and they never did... I guess they are not interested in our business. So, I will not use them again.

    Tri City Home Services
Actually whenever I was little, my mom and daddy always used Tri City.  And then when we built our house our old air conditioner went out.  We went to Tri City and they have kept it up and have taken us under their wing.  They are perfect.  They always make sure it is done right.  They take the time to explain things and what they are doing.  They don’t add nothing, they don’t subtract nothing, they do what they say they are going to do and whenever they leave, you know it is done right.

    ARS / Rescue Rooter Columbia
I pay $14 a month for their service contract, a maintenance contract, and they come out twice a year and do a thorough cleaning. The unit that I purchased from them is a Carrier unit, never buy another one. I would not buy a Carrier unit. Heck no! They have three different levels, a low end unit like a contractor's unit, then they have three middle of the line units, and I bought the top of the middle line. The next units were the Infinity. Maybe they would be made better if they were made in Mexico. This unit has gone through my ceiling two times. The first time, ARS paid for everything. They came out and paid for everything because it wasn't even a year old. Then I had them switch out the air handler out upstairs and they gave me the highest end air handler. So, the backed it up. They came out on the a 104 degree day, our air went out, and I couldn't find anybody to come out. They came out that night, this has been 8 years ago, so we bought the unit. It was a choice between a Trane or the Carrier. We paid $7200 for a 5 ton and a new duct to be put in our closet. They came out the next day. They had a 3 crew and it was 156 degrees in the attic. They put all the unit and everything in. They had my house cooled down in no time flat, but I have had a lot of trouble with the Carrier. But, being on the contract, the biggest plus is if this unit goes down, I get right on the list because I'm on their service contract list. I'm going to the front of the line. The first unit we've had for 8 years and this unit is probably 8 or 9 years old, but I have it serviced twice a year with them. Everything is included. There's no charge for them coming out and cleaning it. But Carrier gave me an extra 10 years on the warranty. I ended up with an 11 year warranty on the unit and boy am I glad, because it breaks 2 or 3 times a year. I'll never buy another Carrier unit and I won't ever suggest that anyone put a split unit in. Not if you have a crawl space. When we built this house, my brother-in-law built it, and he in the one who put the split unit in and we didn't realize about them leaking through the ceiling and the pans. They sit in a pan, but the pan is not warrantied and it leaks through the ceiling. But that one, ARS paid for the mattresses, I got an upgrade on my air handler, they backed it out and they came right out. And, they also put three cut-off switches if water gets in that pan. But, it leaked again another time from the pan. It was from the pan and they always come out and check and put silicone or something around where the screw holes are on that pan. So I have that and a compressor outside. I guess for backing things up and taking care of business, they get an "A". You can pay in yearly, but I pay it monthly. It's drafted out of my account: $14. I'm happy with it because I get two full cleanings a year. In the Spring and Fall. They're always very polite and they cover their shoes up. We were desperate and it was 104 degrees outside. They told me $7400 and I said, "put it in". I called another company and they couldn't get to us for 3 weeks and I called another place and you could just forget it. We went with the company that could produce the quickest. I don't know if we got a super good price or not but it was $7200. I'm happy with their service because they come right out and I'm smart enough to get them in the morning because the parts place closes at 4. I'll say overall, because I've been with them for 10 years, and I could have anybody come out and service, but because I pay that $14 a month and I get on the front of the line, I'll give them an "A" for that. They come within the time period that you choose. If they say 3:00, he's not going to come at 3. They might give you a 12:00 to 2:00 time frame and they show up. If they are running behind they'll call. I told them not to send flunkies out to my house. I tell them I want a senior tech. I've even asked for certain people and he got promoted and I hated it. I'm glad he got promoted, but he was smart and he could figure out real quick. He said, "you've had so many problems with this unit", you know, the Carrier issues. I just know I happened to get a lemon that Carrier manufacturers a unit. The next one I get is going to be a "Goodman". It's under Trane or Lennox. It's one of theirs. The last time the guy came to clean, he didn't tighten the fitting and my coolant leaked out. But, he was new but they came the next day and fixed it. It ran out a week later and I was out of town and my kids and dogs were here and they called and told me that it was just blowing out air, but it wasn't blowing out cool air, but they were going to try to come that night, but they came out the next morning.
