    Taylors Window & Screen Inc
The worst purchase we have ever made since owning our home over 30 years. The widows are "supposed" to be the best windows that Taylors Windows and Screens offer. They claim that they are argon gas filled, hurricane rated, as well as a laundry list of benefits of owning these windows. They were sold as their top of the line product. Within the first month, one of the trapezoid windows had a crack running the length of the window. When the representative came to replace it, he broke a very sentimental Waterford vase. That has yet to be addressed after several years now. All of the windows fog up. This should not happen with a proper seal and especially if they are truly argon gas filled. We also purchased 5 exterior doors. One being one of their "high end" leaded glass entry doors. That "high end" leaded glass entry door, still has a gap between the threshold and the wood flooring. It appears that the proper threshold was not used. I have personally contacted the owner, Mr. Mark Nichols concerning theses issues. He was very rude and disrespectful, including raising his voice to me. I asked if I needed to contact my attorney, his response was "do you want the name of my attorney"!?! I was finally contacted by his representative, Robert Babcock. Mr. Robert Babcock gave me two days only, that he would be available, to choose, to make an appointment with him. I immediately realized that the appointment that was scheduled, conflicted with an appointment that my husband had with his Dr. I promptly contacted Mr. Robert Babcock to inform him of this conflict. When I tried contacting Mr. Robert Babcock again, his phone number had been disconnected. I dialed the exact same number that showed up on my caller I.D, when Mr. Robert Babcock called me, which I had saved into my contacts in my phone. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact Mr. Marks Nichol's wife, who is the acting President of Taylors Windows and Screens, but she is never available or should I say, it's apparent that she screens her calls through her receptionist. She has never returned my phone calls. I am disabled, homebound, bedridden and depend on a wheelchair to be the least bit mobile. Taylors Windows and Screens are quite aware. I was bedridden while they were here doing the installation. I have left a review on Taylors Windows and Screens Facebook page. My review immediately was hidden from their page and I was promptly blocked from making any further comments. From the warranty provided by Taylors Windows and Screens, they are in direct violation of the law and guilty of Breach of Contract of their Lifetime Warranty on the products that they sell. Since it has come down to no resolution after making requests for several years now, my options of getting any resolution from Mr. Mark Nichols are exhausted and have exhausted and stressed both my husband and myself. He has $10,000 of our money, yet we have a mess. The entire reason of our decision to replace our windows and doors rested solely on making our home available for sale. Our home is three levels. With my disability, I am isolated to the ground level. Which I basically live in one room of my home. I have been isolated and confined to one room of my home for over 10 years now. The lack of Taylors Windows and Screens willingness to remedy this situation, is deterring our ability to market our home. My health and physical needs require us to move into a one level home. For us to be able to sell our home, we would have to disclose that the windows are faulty. The Front Leaded Glass Door that I spent an excessive amount of money for, rather than what a standard door would have cost to replace. I added for value and curb appeal for resale of our home. The issue with the threshold and gap in the hardwood flooring would need no written disclosure. It is very obvious when you walk through our front entry door. As this is March, 2019 and we live in the humidity of S.C., I can't say that we enjoy our view out of our fogged windows. Taylors Windows and Screens has their address listed as 1505 Buncombe Rd. Greenville, SC 29609 and 401 Furman Hall Rd. Greenville, South Carolina 29609.

Brian was very punctual. We showed him the doors we needed to have hung and he took care of it. He was very professional, worked hard and got most of the doors hung. He has to come back to finish the job. We knew he couldn't get all the doors hung in one day. We were very happy with his work and his friendly attitude. We have several more projects we need to have done around the house and we plan to talk with him about getting them done. It's nice to have found someone dependable.

    Handyman Services LLC
They were suppose to come out and replace the door so I took the whole day off work on wednesday and they didn't show up until 1:30 pm.They tried to double charge me for replacing rotten wood (colunm on porch). I walked around the house to make sure they replaced everything and seen 3 soft spots and the owner of Handyman (Stephan) said he didn't notice, but someone tried to cover up one of them with caulk. On the final bill they were charging $225 to remove and replace storm door handle and door bell button and for replacing rotten column. (Replacing rotten wood was already included in w another charge.) I now have a nice new doorbell button for a doorbell that doesn't work since it was replaced.and a storm door that doesn't stay closed completely (which is an easy fix.) I feel like it may have been different if I was a man or a man had hired them for the job. The gutters were made and installed by a contractor named Robert, who I was very pleased with.
Found some wood that was bad and not replaced so I will be calling them today to see if it will be taken care of. The estimate and final bill stated remove and replace rotten wood. Evidently Stephan didn't see it before caulk was applied and painted over. Hope they correct their mistake.
My house looks good but I still would not hire them for another job.

    Finishing Touch Unfauxgettable
The team of painters were timely, polite, professional and very quick and helpful.  You could tell they all got along and enjoyed what they were doing.  The team of painters arrived on time and ready to work.  My deck and porch had weathered under the hot sun and had deteriorated quickly.  The guys got right to work first powerwashing the large back deck and the front porch.  After the deck dried they stained and clear coated the deck and painted the front porch in a beautiful green gloss.  They let the decks dry for a couple of days and came back and replaced my furniture.  I had also recently bought a new front door that was white and they painted it a beautiful black for me.  I am now ready for Fall and ready to decorate.  Thank you Finishing Touch.

    M & T Home Maintenance Svc
I found M&T on Angie's list and I called the number listed. They came to give me an estimate for the front door. Which I hired them to replace. I liked their work and them. They knew what they were doing and I felt comfortable with them in my home. So, one thing led to another, and I would get an estimate for the next project I had in mind and it just continued till my house was complete. So, for the next year and a half, M&T has become family. I have dogs which I was always worried about them getting loose with people going in and out all day. So, I constantly said please make sure you close all the doors so I my dogs don't get out.  M&T respected my wishes and never had a problem. They were wonderful. Great people, great work. In fact, M&T is coming back to put a driveway in for me.

    Mike Foreman Home Improvements Inc

Don't-ask him or anyone else to do an estimate after work hours. This is where mistakes in estimating the amount of tile/bull nose tile needed were made. I think he was in a hurry to get it done and leave that evening. As a nurse it is difficult for me to get off work for anything other than illness and vacation planned. My supervisor is very strict because as many places we are always short staffed. But next time I need an estimate in my house I will just insist to be off during working hours. The estimate of tile needed was off because I needed 100 sq ft of tile, and only had purchased 96sqft. Still it would have made me purchase 108sqft, that's my fault. However, the bull nose estimate was wrong, and I had to re order twice, along with one time I had to reorder the rustic white tile.
I did ask before the work started twice through email to his wife, Deb, could he come back to discuss tile some more. I was put off from his wife, who said he didn't need to do that. For him or any other contractor, pick out your tile before he even comes over, purchase a piece of bull nose tile if you can. The bull nose is very expensive compared to the tile cost.
There was another thing which had to do with the pedestal sink of which I was told by her he would discuss w/me. I am like all of us, busy going all the time between work and home and forgot to ask him until the last day. Had I not remembered to ask him, he would have had to do it all over. My point is I understand his wife is necessary to shield/filter daily questions to him, but there comes a point that he and the customer need to talk for all those little details you have as the work goes along.

The work he and his workers did was top notch. The painting was excellent. But you have to insist on them using a separate primer. this is what you want, not one in the paint only.  There is only one area I am disappointed in. The BR closet door. Initially I thought it looked great. However, during the work, I noticed this unpainted door he had already put in place as we discussed. We were leaving the door solid, cut down the middle w/drawers pull on both sides. You then open the door as half a door-two each. This provides more room in the BR rather than using a full door to pull out from BR closet. The workers and he kept telling me this was just for an estimate of what he would need to cut a door to size. You see there was a big hole in the wood where traditionally a regular door knob would go to open a full door. I did not realize it until weeks after they left, they had kept that same door I was told which was there just for sizing. The problem is they apparently took the round hole of wood, stuck it back in, sealed it or something so it would stay and painted over it. This irks me. It's a typical contractor trick. He already has the door prior to your job, your estimate supposedly includes a new door, and he uses this one.
Had he discussed it w/me I would have either said-well okay, but flip it to where that hole piece is in the corner part of the wall-where no one will notice it much or get me a new door like we discussed.
As it is you can see the outline of the hole which is painted over.
They clean well. The workers are very courteous. I would use him again. He is licensed and bonded, you can look him up on the SC Laobr/Licensing. This to me is important. I don't want who is the cheapest, I want who is good, fair and not to pay if his workers gets hurt.

    M & T Home Maintenance Svc
They are excellent. They are very reasonable and are very nice people. I am sticking with them. I purchased the windows from another company and they are Pella windows. Then M & T is going to put them in for me. I have had people come by and ask me as to who did my deck since it’s different because of the paint and the designs. You tell them basically what you are thinking and what you want. Then they will actually design it and keep you posted. They will ask you as to what you think and if you have liked it. They are really good at designing and finding out what you want. They are great people. They charged me about $100 for taking down two big trees. The tree service job went perfectly. They are very reasonable, price wise. They clean up everything. They will keep you informed. They will tell you as to how much the materials are if you want something done. I have nothing bad to say about them. I am planning on using them in the future too in order to install my windows. I am going to have them redo my bathroom and my kitchen. I am going to have them put flooring in as well. I will have them do everything.
