    JTs KIA OF COLUMBIA
With JT’s if anything happens to my jeep I take it up there.  I make an appointment, I go up there and whenever they check it out they tell me what they are going to be looking for, they ask me what the problem is.  If they can’t hear it they will call me back and they get me to describe it and they keep it until they find out what’s wrong with it.  Communication is great.

    GERMAN AUTOWERKS
Badly, Brandon, the owner, "knew" the problem before he even saw what color the car was, but I think he was wrong since it still has the same problems and has new problems which include a major coolant leak, intake problems, and the drivers side headlight will not turn off. Had a recommendation to take my just bought VW Jetta to this place. It had a definite lack of power and some bad lights. Later found out the person doing the recommendation was telling us lies. Looks like she didn't like us. Her husband's sister told us the truth. Bad service, a claim the car was stolen and was totaled. I wish we had known this before going down there and had seen a few of the bad results of other people as well. We took the car down and with out even seeing what color the car was, the owner told us it was the timing chain, but he would look at it. We were told, two days later, the car could not start for them at all. "Yes, it is a broken timing chain", the owner stated. We did see someone under the hood of the car in the parking lot when we drove back by there 30 minutes later. TWO MONTHS later .... with us being told for two weeks of that time that they had the cover of the engine off we finally get the car back. During the waiting period we were told the machine shop had finally been sent the head and they would have to determine how many gaskets it would need. We were also told that with a broken timing chain the piston ( told to us the first time), the fuel injectors ( the second time), or the valves ( third choice of what an additional problem) might be bent. Well it seemed to take a week for the machine shop, they won't tell us which one they sent it to, to get the motor back. then the problems really started with the mechanics at German. On a couple of occasions, they kept breaking the gaskets when they tried to put the engine together. Then there was a major coolant leak they had to fix. Then finally, they bent some fuel injectors and had to fix those. Finally we got a call from them, which was the first time they actually called me. I had to call them to keep getting an update of the progress of the car. they said the car is ready, but they would not recommend me picking it up until I had the timing chain fixed. that would be an additional $2,000. Funny how it was the chain in the first place and the owner said between the chain and the bent pistons, fuel injectors/valves it would cost about $2,000. Which the estimate was changed twice when we tried to pick the car up. $2,800 was now the final estimate he claimed to give. We took the car home and it drove so-so. Not great but it moved. The next day the check engine light came on. Also the passenger side lights would not cut off even when the car was cut off. I had to start disconnecting the battery each night. Then the coolant started leaking. I have to fill the system up every time I drive the car. We still have a lose of power, but at times it seems to come back. I'm going to let the mechanic Advance auto recommended to me to check the car over. At a glance they think the engine is now totally shot and it looks like I will have to get rid of the car. My girlfriend is disabled and is totally dependent of me to take her to doctor appointments. Because of German telling us so many times the car would be ready and it was not, she was dropped by one of her doctors and it cost me employment. As the guy at Advance Auto told me, he has heard of them and I was a fool to take it to them. I think what clinches it for me is that when we went to pick up the car, the owner tried to put the blame on everyone but them. First the guy for selling the car in the first place and then finally me for not having checked it out. I hate to tell him, but we did have it checked and for about a week it ran fine. This guy diagnoses and repairs by crystal ball. Looking up a history of German Autowerks and their law suits, I would say just by that I would not take anything to them. I would also recommend that you do as I did and document every word they say and even record it. And keep documentation of prices they quote. the final price kept changing on me. first $2009, then 2,600, and finally $3,000. that was in the space of two days.

    West Columbia Collision Center
The Owner Brian, shop technicians and office staff were all very informative and didn't mind spending time with me answering my questions. As you can expect, I was very concerned about just letting any shop repair my new vehicle but by the time I left this shop I felt great about their knowledge and expertise and knew without a doubt that this shop takes pride in their work and customer satisfaction is a priority to the owner, Brian. I felt positive that I had just left my vehicle at the right shop. The lady in the office updated me daily with the status of the work being performed and the date they guaranteed me for completion was accurate. I was notified the day in advance to when my vehicle would be completed and would be ready for pick up which I highly appreciated because this allowed me to notify and make arrangements with my employer of the little time I would be out of the office. Needless to say I was EXTREMELY impressed when I returned 2 days later to pick up my vehicle after the repairs and paint was complete AND they had Detailed my vehicle, cleaning it inside and out without any extra charge as a Customer Appreciation, Thank you for your business which I thought was very kind and greatly appreciated it!! It would have been impossible to have gotten the work done at a better price for the quality of work that was performed at West Columbia Collision Center.

    COLONY STATION AUTO REPAIR
It worked out good. I’ve got 30,000 miles on the new engine and I’ve got an 100,000 warranty on the engine. I dropped my car off and I picked it up in a couple of days, it had a new engine in it and it was good. I have another company vehicle. They could have charged me less.

    Classic Ford Lincoln of Columbia
They always supply us with a matching loaner. I have a Lincoln and they give me a Lincoln to borrow. They don't have to do that. They supply it free of charge. It took about a day and a half to complete. The workers are awesome. My first impression is positive.

    SUNROOFS OF COLUMBIA
Due to age of car, options was given to how to repair. I chose to have sunroof sealed and become inoperable. I could have also chosen a fix with tube sealant but may not have lasted to due to age of the parts or get a new sunroof ensemble that would be too expensive and/or hard to locate. Experience with this Company went well. Best to call to get an appointment time and be prepared to drop car off. Mine took just a day.

    Toyota Center
I had appointment. I had someone pick me up, and went home and waited for it to be done. It took roughly about 2 hours. Their lobby is nice. They offer coffee, water, and hot tea. There is also a vending machine. They are not pushy with trying to up sell items.

    DEMPSEY AUTO SVC LLC
By far the most dependable, honest, reputable mechanic I have ever found.  I have been using Dempsey's for a decade.  Dempsey and his son Jack are a small operation but have worked on at least 8 cars for me and my family.  They have done everything from oil changes on new cars to motor swaps in classic cars (and everything in between).  There is no job too big or small and their prices are beyond fair.   If you guys are reading this, you probably have figured out who I am, and thank you for all that you have done for us over the years, and continue to do for us.

    Mooneyhan's Auto Service
Mooneyhan's has taken care of my family's cars for the past eight years or so. I have always received professional and prompt service from Bill and Tim on both small and large jobs. They have kept my older vehicles alive and running and have always  backed up the work they do.
