    Keystone Landscaping & Design LLC
Too many businesses in South Carolina work hard enough to get by and won't travel a few extra miles for greater profits. Such is the case with Keystone. Add a travel fee and serve those who wish to be your customers. Half of those who do show up are incompetent in their profession, requiring someone else to come out and do the job right. I don't know if Keystone does a good job, but they refused to mow my yard.

    Mark Wenninger

I have a 1.2 acre lot that needed a cleanup of debris. Initially I called Mark to haul away debris from a tree that was cut down and cut up. The price was $200. The grass was high because the County dug ditches along the road before paving without giving me a driveway onto my lot for months. Mark said he could bush-hog the dense areas and clear an area around my septic tank (2 trees and saplings) for $300. Okay. Then he said he would rake the lot and burn the dead leaves and dead limbs that had fallen from the trees over time, for $500.

Mark is a self-admitted perfectionist, a good worker who did a fine job for me. As a businessman he does what is important to be a success. I like that. But, in my financial position, I just couldnt justify or afford to pay $1,000 to clean up my lot. Considering the offer to rake and burn for an additional  $500 distressed me for days so I cancelled his offer to do something that I was capable of doing myself. If you want a job done with excellence, you will be happy with Mark.

Getting a hold of someone to talk to about the services to begin with was very bad. We kept calling and no one would answer. We would end up having to leave a messege for them to call us back. Then when they did finally call back you could barely hear them for the bad phone reception they had. When we finally got the job booked they did show up as scheduled. The property was shown to them along with what we wanted done. Then the man came up with the estimated price which we agreed upon. Now this is where the problems started. The drive way the house is concrete and is a bit old so he was asked ahead of time if he thought he would have to use his BIG commercial tree trimming truck to go off in a certain part of the yard where we knew he would have go to get some of the tall limbs down....but he said "No, we shouldn't have a problem getting to those limbs and shouldn't need the truck over there." Then he does indeed use his truck without even telling us that he was going to need to. So what happens??? The concrete caves where he went off the side due to the weight of the truck and busted the box over the  water line and the water line itself! The man instantly started acting like it was not his fault. Making excuses after excuse. We explained that we were not mad because accidents happen but obviously want the stuff fixed. He patched the water line himself but the box was left open and the line was never covered back up. He asked that we let him take care of this without filing through his Commercial Liability Insurance. He said he would come back and take care of it all. So being nice we waited on him to be a man of his word. After waiting over a month talking to him numerous times about it and him making appointments with us on when he was to come and then NOT showing up. He then quit answering our calls and not returning our messages. So we did what anyone would do. We called the insurance company to make a claim. His response to that was "You shouldn't have done that but whatever! I'm not messing with you no more! Just do whatever the H3LL you have to do!" So we got a lawyer and started filing a claim. Also, when we gave him the check for the services in the business name he gave it back to us and asked that we Rewrite the check in his personal name instead, which we thought was a little strange. Not sure what that was about. The work he did was in the limbs and trees were cut properly. But I would not recomend him to anyone after this.

Eventually replaced unit.  This generator failed once during last 6 months. Contacted Sears about repairs they said they'd get a service man out to site.  I'm still waiting some 3 months later.  The generator is used to draw water for my horses and they were told this but still plenty of promises but no action.  Action Man they are not.  I have been told that they don't have a service contact with anyone here in Walterboro was no body comes out.  I have had it fixed by a small engines service center here in Walterboro.  Took him about 10 minutes but I had to take it to him.  Didn't cost too much either.

When they come onto the property, they do all of the work and are punctual. I am very happy with them and have been using them for the past ten years.
