    All About Irrigation
    Poor Customer Service by Tom | I reached out to All About Irrigation seeking assistance troubleshooting my current irrigation system. Tom called me today (05/10/19) to explain their services and fees. I was ok with everything up to the point when i received his response about schedule availability. I simply asked if they had availability next week possibly to come out and review the system with me. He laughed at me and said no way, and that the earliest availability they had was 05/21. I replied that I understood they were booked and was hoping for something sooner. I mentioned that if I hadn't had any luck with anyone else by that time, I would reach back out. At that moment, he hung up on me without another word. I thought maybe he was disconnected, so I called back and simply asked if this was All About Irrigation, he said yes. I asked if he had hung up on me and then he started cursing at me for no apparent reason, telling me not to bother him, and then hung up on me again. I simply don't understand the necessity for Tom's behavior. All I was seeking was assistance troubleshooting my irrigation system. I certainly didn't mean to offend Tom, and still do not understand how I may have. I see all the reviews, raving about this company and its service. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience. I hope anyone considering All About Irrigation of Greenville, SC has a better experience than I had today. I was very disappointed in Tom's attitude and poor customer service. He did not represent his business well today. As a final note for Tom; Brother, I am truly sorry that someone, somewhere has wronged you in life, but you cannot treat people in this manner and expect them to be a patron of your business. I am moving on and putting this behind me, but will never contact nor recommend this business based on my initial interaction with Tom.

    Randy Lawrence & his L&M crew took down a large dead tree on our property. Our experience with Randy/L&M Tree Service was perfect. When he came out ahead to assess the job and give the free estimate, he was prompt, courteous and professional. He was careful to take the time to answer all questions and was very customer-focused, treating this relatively small job like it was just as important to him as the large-scale jobs he does. His price was equal to the lowest bids we received from a total of 5 services we contacted, all listed on Angie's List. Randy was able to complete the job within a couple of days after supplying the estimate. He was great about staying in touch by text and email and sent me photos of the site when the job was completed. He was very careful to be sure every scrap of the old tree was removed after it was felled, and left the area immaculate. There is really nothing that could have been improved on, and we were very happy with our choice. We recommend Randy and L&M with the highest confidence!

    Peters Landscaping and lawn Care
    Working with Peters Landscaping was the best experience I could have had with the care of my project. My gardens had lost their definition over the last year or so and I was just overwhelmed as to where to begin. I wanted the beauty back in my yard and Peters Landscaping did just that! Hans, the owner of the company gave me an estimate and started work the next week. It was a day and a half project that left my lawn and gardens looking better than ever. I did my best to explain what I wanted and he knew exactly what needed to be done. Mulching, nice deep edging, clean up and mowing - I'm proud of my front yard again! . Pricing was more than reasonable. His advice was spot on and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I am anxious to start a new project so I can have Peters Landscaping back again.

    All About Irrigation
    Wow, just wow - Working with All About Irrigation has been a whole new level of
    deplorable customer service and respect for the customer.   We asked
    them to install a $269 irrigation pump with economy in mind, we wanted
    nothing fancy, just basic PVC piping installation and were quoted $75 an
    hour and about an hour to an hour and a half.    We received a bill for
    $360.   I was not home and my husband wrote the check - we were charged
    about double of what the parts would have cost if we bought them
    directly - more importantly - we were very clear that we wanted bare
    minimum economy. (our pump, our choice).   We were never asked if we
    wanted to upgrade to a top of the line inlet hose or a pressure valve
    that our pump manual said we did not leave, but the contractor installed
    - again, without our approval.    My husband wrote the check for $360 @ 
    about 3:30 PM - I left a voicemail at 4:30 PM saying we were stopping
    payment because they installed much more than we asked for.  We received
    a nasty phone call at 9:00 PM at night 9:00 PM and as a farmer, we go to bed early and this is
    extremely inappropriate.and then the below nasty email. -
    we were more than willing to pay a fair price for what we asked for,
    but not be gouged in pricing.   My email to All About Irrigation is
    below their response - Wow - just wow on the customer service front.
    " I will be glad to see you in court over this ! It's people like you that
    has put this country in the turmoil that it is in . We saved you money
    and helped you . And you intern accuse us of overcharging you. My tech
    spent hours shopping for parts that you didn't know you needed and we
    didn't bill you for his time . The release valve is installed on every
    pump that we install . it saves the long Jevity of the pump ,will the
    pump operate without it yes ,will the pump wear out faster and possibly
    breakdown yes. You asked US for our professionalism and expertise and
    knowledge of over 15 years of service and that's what we gave you if you
    were to hire a plumber they charge double what I charge per hour that's
    right look it up call them up and find out its double. we only charge
    $75 per hour . Jonathan took a half hour of time off of the bill by
    using that pipe that you insist we overcharged you on. Illuminated all
    the gluing and the price of the elbows if she was to use the PVC. Each
    city has to be glued and takes 25 minutes to dry things that you don't
    know or don't understand but yet you're complaining about do the math at
    least three elbows on that PVC pipe at least 25 minutes of driving time
    for elbow he saved you that money. You can stop payment if you like but
    I will immediately file a complaint for nonpayment at travelers rest
    municipal court. I had not known about your grievance and my office
    manager already deposited the check in my bank account if you stop
    payment on the check, that cost will be in added onto the bill. I
    reviewed the bill and see nothing at all wrong with his charges is
    anything more than for Jonathan is a very honest young man I thought he
    was being helpful to you. What I can do is have him come and take that
    release valve off and get duct that charge from the bill that's all I
    will do for you at this point if that's what you want I will reimburse
    you and send you a check for the difference since I already deposited
    yours. I believe that would be $60 return to you if that is not
    acceptable I will see you in court! "
    Dear Mr. Kaiser,
    This email is a follow-up to my voicemail of moments ago.  I am a bit
    surprised and very upset at the invoice we received for your technician
    to hook=up my Flotek 1.5 HP irrigation pump.   I can be reached at.....
    I am going to start with perhaps the young man made a mistake in his
    math when figuring the price of the parts or didn't understand me when I
    told him I wanted PVC for the draw pipe, etc.
    I have stopped payment on the check and urge you not to try and cash it
    and incur banking costs.  I also want to emphasize that I have no
    problem and will happily pay a fair price for the work we requested.
    I was not at home when the technician presented the invoice to my
    husband and my husband was not involved in the majority of the
    conversations so he just wrote the check.
    I emphasized - and I mean emphasized - I wanted economy with the
    installation, simple PVC piping and and just a simple installation.
    Without conferring with us, your technician chose a flexible black 2"
    (what I think is PVC) type of piping that I am being charged $40 for.  
    The same length of the PVC I asked for would have been about $12.
    I am also being charged $60 for a pressure relief valve that I would
    probably not have had installed and the Flotex installation manual
    doesn't require
    When I look at the pump and installation - I see PVC fittings that I am
    being charged $12 for.    I may not be a plumber, but I know the price
    of these items at Lowes or Home Depot are significantly lower.
    Profit is not a dirty word and I don't mind paying for good work and a
    nominal mark-up on parts, but this is outside of those parameters.  A
    520" roll of teflon tape is $1.47 and I am being charged $3.00 for
    probably 50 inches at the most, the most expensive coupling reducer is
    $7.90 and I am being charged $12.00    Let alone I was given expensive
    parts I didn't want and my request for economy was not adhered to, I am
    being overcharged for parts.
    I am attaching a pdf of the bill.  Please give me a call and I will
    happily write you a check for a reasonable amount that this installation
    should have cost.

    We did now know how to solve our drainage problem so we relied upon Joe's expertise. He recommended that we bury drainage pipes and connect them to the downspouts on the house. He then ran them quite a distance so that extended beyond our horse barn. (Horses were sinking in mud!) He also took out some trees, stumps and graded our back yard. This is the 3rd time we have engaged Joe and he has not failed to impress! He knew we were going to have a week of rain but couldn't get us scheduled beforehand. So he came by to connect the pipe to downspouts and ran it across the lawn to help us out and not make the problem any worse while it rained. Really thoughtful! Brothers & Sons are officially our go-to contractors for outside work.

    He gave us some plans and showed us some things and we never received an estimate. After several attempts to receive an estimate, he quoted us for about 20,000. He said he needed 1/3 of the cost up front. There was a little walkway of about 175 ft and that area was supposed to be Flagstone (we provided the material) which he said they could do. I was told by other providers on the job that his people were asking him for advice on how to do the job. I stopped them halfway because we realized the job was not getting done correctly. When I approached the project manager, Nathan, he said they were skilled. I let him know that we needed to put the project on hold because I was unhappy. After the fact, Nathan had come back on the property and attempted to complete the job by filling the walkway with cement so that he could bill me. The walkway is completely two different grout colors. 

     I went back to Nathan and asked for the cost we gave him upfront. He said it would take him a couple of weeks to give me my money back because he allocated the funds to another job. I never received the check after several attempts to reach him. I went to his place of business and he said "I sent you the check in the mail". I received the check in the mail with a receipt. He charged me for 14 hours of un-billed labor. He also had several erroneous charges on the bill and is still withholding money.
