Masonry reviews in Tega Cay

It was originally going to take 4-6 weeks to complete. We ended up changing a couple things after the start of construction, had weather delays, inspection delays, product delays so it took closer to 11 weeks to complete. Communication was great overall. We were kept informed. The end product looks amazing and we are completely satisfied. Great job and I highly recommend!

    Morales Concrete
Mr. Morales is as honest and hard-working as any contractor I have worked with. He and his team were prompt and did a great job. My wife and are thrilled with the new patio. It was a pleasure working with Ricardo and we will be sure to contact him for future work and refer him to friends and neighbors.

    Outdoor Artisan Inc
We've worked with a lot of contractors. Outdoor Artisan is the best we've ever worked with. First off, we interviewed many companies for this project. We were amazed at how many didn't show, promised quotes and didn't deliver, had no ideas and asked us to come up with a plan, or were completely overpriced for unimaginative or cookie cutter ideas. We wanted something that was unique, well made, and beautiful. From the outset, it was a pleasure to talk to the owner's wife, Tracey, who was kind, courteous, and responsive. Clive, the owner, came out and listened to our ideas and asked us some critical questions about how we wanted to use our patio. He was extremely thoughtful and didn't rush through the design process. The design he created was absolutely what we wanted and it wasn't "over the top" - or too much for the size and style of our home. They communicated with us every step of the way, from when they were going to first arrive, all the way through final punch list items. The workers were polite and clean. When they finished for the day, everything was washed down, swept up and put away. When we wanted to upgrade some pavers during installation, Clive and his right hand man, Jason, were very helpful with the selection and made adjustments to their orders and schedules to get it done. When they started to lay stone and the color/design didn't work, they didn't just keep going and complete it in a way that we didn't like. They stopped and told us that they didn't like it, we agreed, and changed the color and design. We are so used to contractors that do not do what they say they will do. It was so refreshing to deal with someone who actually cares about their commitments and reputation. Everyone who has seen our patio has been blown away. It is a work of art and a joy to just sit and look at. It has been two years since installation and we have had no problems. Gorgeous in every way. We are now moving. The patio was a huge selling point and allowed us to get a lot more money for our home than other comps in our neighborhood. We have already contacted Clive to have Outdoor Artisan do our patio at our new home. Thank you Outdoor Artisan!

Tony (owner) came out and helped us with the layout of a patio and seat wall for an area coming off the porch of our new home.  We eventually want to put in a pool, and Tony ensured the design he installed would not impede any of our ideas for a future pool.  Tony was always up front about the costs, as they were all outlined detail on the proposal.  there were no surprises in pricing of the original scope.  the price only increased after we added additional features to the project such as expanding the sq/ft, grill and fridge insert.  Tony is affiliated with Blue Max materials so we were able to go out to one of their facilities and pick several options for the pavestone materials.  choosing the materials was a bit overwhelming, but Tony was able to talk us through a few options, bring us samples to think on, and ultimately help us make a great choice.
Not knowing what a fair price would be for the project, I got an estimate from a smaller contractor that had built a large project in a neighbors backyard.  They were only a couple hundred dollars apart on the estimate, which was more than made up by the give-back from Tony on his liberal estimate of the fill material (he didn't need the entire amount he had estimated for and gave a credit back to me for the overage).
Construction went well and was only delayed after unseasonably heavy rain. I called Tony back a couple of times on some minor details (I am probably a pain in that regard) which were handled quickly.  I have recommended CLD to a couple friends already.  We have enjoyed the patio and can't wait to get Tony and his team back to work on the pool, and landscaping.

    Outdoor Contracting
We were very happy with final result.  This was a complex project on difficult terrain with constraints due to lake regulations and city easements. Not many contractors were willing to take this on, so thank you Outdoor Life Bill Botkin and Miguel!  Bill  and  Miguel his foreman were very professional and very responsive. This was a very fluid project with changes we asked for after seeing initial results.
One mistake that we made was that we did not get a highly itemized/costed workscope upfront and it was then difficult to determine our credits when the workscope grew. We ended up spending roughly 40% more than estimated with our workscope additions.

We met with and received quotes from 5 different contractors. It was a difficult decision at first, as we were trying to be as economical as we could be. We took economics out of the equation and in every category, we wanted Stoneman. So we worked with George on our budget and desires, and he delivered. He had great ideas and designed something perfect for us and our yard. The other quotes weren't truly lower, as they lacked some of the quality and materials that stoneman was including. The best part was when his team showed up on site. Man, I never saw contractors work so hard and so fast. They were truly skilled, paid attention to details and were open to feedback and changes. I highly recommend Stoneman and am so thankful we chose them!

    Handyman At Hand
They were very kind, courteous and did excellent work.  The brick work they did to repair the brick foundation where an old dryer vent exhaust used to be was AMAZING!  They also did an excellent job on a very challenging sheetrocked wall that was extremely uneven.

    Allen's Complete Masonry

I wanted to get a concrete ledge in our garage extended to be able to better store something on it. I asked them about extending it in concrete and they told me that they could, but it would be pretty expensive and probably wouldn't look that great.  They suggested adding a row of bricks to extend that section.  It took them a while to find matching bricks for our 25 year old house but they called when they had them and came and did a great job. It looked great, much better than what I had originally intended.  They saved me money and made it look better too.

I have hired these guys before and they take great pride in their work and make sure it is done right.

If I ever need any masonry work, they are the folks I will call.

    Courtney Masonry and Concrete
We have lived in this house about a year.  (The house is 12 years old).   When we bought the house the inspection report noted that there were cracks in the masonry due to normal settlement.  The inspection report noted that these should be repaired to prevent water penetration.  Doug did a full inspection of the exterior of the house to locate all cracks in bricks and masonry.
It went very well.  All the work done was outside we had a couple of delays due to weather - Severe thunderstorms.
Doug and his crew arrived on time and had all the work done in short order.
The job site was cleaned up and my back porch was much cleaner after they left than it was before they started!
