    C & M Contracting
I enthusiastically recommend C & M Contracting to anyone looking for renovation work, especially for bathrooms and kitchens. Charlie and Michael are everything my wife and I wanted in a contractor. They are professional, friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and focused on customer satisfaction. They will do what you want, but will suggest where they see opportunities to improve on a design, and will even save you money. We asked C & M to estimate for a master bath renovation. Charlie spent 2 hours with us discussing our needs. He brought a portable drafting kit and drew up detailed plans of our existing layout with notes on all areas of proposed changes. This was far more other contractors did during the estimate phase. It also made for very quick, clear communications with subcontractors once work began, so this was a smart step on Charlie's part. We had a general layout and design in mind, but looked to C & M to give us suggestions as we sometimes struggled to visualize changes. Also, we were at times overwhelmed with all the options we found in our research. Charlie and Michael were very open to helping us, giving guidance but never pressuring us to do something "their way." Some of their suggestions added to our cost, but greatly improved the finished product and our satisfaction with the bathroom. Other suggestions, however, reduced our cost, so you can expect a very balanced, fair assessment of your needs and attention to your budget. Once we awarded the contract, they paid great attention to keeping our home clean and minimizing dust from demolition. The work product itself is outstanding--I would match their quality with any contractor. A key to their high quality is they run only a few jobs at a time so they can personally perform a lot of the work, and work with a small group of proven subcontractors. You will find C & M pricing to be at the higher end of contractors. They were second out of four quotes we received. However, we without a doubt got more value for our money. Also, the entire experienced was pleasant. We could count on C & M to do what they said, they were prompt in responding to any questions or concerns, and everything was backed up by a very clear, detailed contract and invoicing. Just as important, Charlie, Michael and all their subs are friendly and personable. I think you will be as delighted as we are with C & M Contracting for any renovation. The highest recommendation I can give is that I will be using them for our kitchen and guest bath renovations--I do not need to look for anyone else to improve our home.

    Easley Electric Inc
I was very impressed with Easley Electric. When I asked for a quote thru Angie's list, Ken responded very quickly and after getting a bit more info from me provided me a fair quote. Of the four quotes requested, this one was the only one I received. Two gentlemen arrived at the appointed time, did the work quickly and professionally, and answered all my questions. I will definitely be calling them when I need electrical work done again.

Could not have envisioned a better conclusion! My husband and I met with and received quotes from several companies regarding demolition of our deck and building a new screened porch. We were impressed with David's ability to see and expound on our vision. One of our biggest concerns was the demolition of our existing decks since our house was built using steel beams and the deck was constructed on the steel beams. Demolition took longer than originally forecasted, but David's crew was careful and thorough. Every crew he brought in was top notch. They were all helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and extremely capable. True craftsmen. We now have a beautiful screen porch and patio below. We would love to hire David and his team for future projects.

    A.B.W. Construction
We previously used Andrew on our kitchen remodel two years ago. This time we needed to remodel the the master and hall bathrooms. This involved complete demolition and restoration of the bathrooms. We completed the demo ourselves; however, Andrew would have completed this if we wanted him to. We had the vanity, toilets, shower and shower/tub replaced as well as the flooring. We needed drywall replaced and electrical. Our quote included installation, plumbing and electrical work as well as the shower/tub and shower with glass door. Tile, grout, plumbing fixtures, toilets, vanities and painting were our cost. Andrew gives suggestions and ideas when requested and needed. We will definitely use Andrew again with some more projects.

    WRIGHT ELECTRICAL LLC
We just had them do some work and they were terrific. It was just one gentleman who completed the work and he was here about four hours. I would absolutely use this provider again. The young man who came spent about two hours changing all the outlets that needed to be changed and put up a light on our porch that we had purchased, but we didn't have the vent for the bathroom, which he was gonna put in. He went off to lunch and went to the store and bought the vent for us and came back and then put that in. He had to climb up in the attic and all that, to drill all the holes and everything. I'm just saying he really went all out and he was here at least four hours altogether. That's like above and beyond.

Salesperson explained how the process would go and quality of the solar panels. Also helped in getting my house more energy efficient. The installers were very nice and professional and explained the process very well. Excellent job from start to finish.

    Upstate Electrical Solutions LLC
Discovered multiple outlets in the house that suddenly were not working. I tried all the amateur handyman fixes/troubleshooting and could not find the problem. I called several companies who wanted a service call fee (separate charge that would NOT be applied to the price to fix the problem) and could make it out in 1 to 2 weeks. Called Ian and explained the problem, he stated he could be out in 2 hours! Ian came out with his helper right on time, was so very courteous and professional. He tested all the circuit breakers, checked the outlets and determined it had to be in the wiring of one of the outlets. He stated he would have to go through them and see which one might have loose wiring. Then and only then did he quote me a price to proceed with the analysis. He isolated and fixed the problem within 30 minutes! If you want a very professional gentleman who is tech savvy yet still has old fashioned work ethics, this is your man! I saw that he also did whole house generators and referred him instantly to a friend who wanted one installed.

    Kelley Electrical Services LLC
Everything Mr. Kelley does, he does well. The outlet for the deck was well installed and is protected from weather damage. We now have special lighting for our deck as well as a fountain, which we really enjoy. The motion detectors are working great. But those ceiling lights he installed were simply awesome. The lights were handmade by my husband, extremely special pieces that are very fragile. Not only were they perfectly handled and well-installed, but on one light he perfected the electrical part of the design, improving the overall quality of the piece. Excellent. He also cleans up as he goes, so much so that you would never know he's been there until you see the work accomplished. I like him too because he gives fair quotes, is not afraid to make suggestions, and is not late. If he runs behind, he calls, but then he shows up on time anyway. Quality workmanship and professionalism.

    Viper Electric
They arrived at my home at the appointed time after calling to notify me that they were on they way and would be arriving within 15 minutes. They were absolutely professional in every way. The two gentlemen were very courteous and helpful and answered all questions presented by my wife. They were very particular in handling the fans and cleaned up all debris. I was very pleased with this company and whenever I have need of an electrical contractor they would without a doubt be the only company that I would call.

    Gosling Electrical Service Inc.
I purchased a Big Deal for the installation of an outdoor electrical ground fault receptacle/cover ( to be installed within three feet of an existing indoor receptacle).  After leaving phone messages for about two weeks, and two brief conversations with the owner Mark Gosling, relating that I had purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for this service, I finally got a call from a service tech by the name of Josh regards a time that was convenient for him to do the installation; I could be available any time. Josh said he would be out to do the install at the end of the day.  However, at the end of the day, Josh called again to say he was running late, and asked if he could come the next day.  We set up an appointment time again.
Josh showed up on time and was very pleasant.  Unfortunately there was an apparent miscommunication, because Josh installed the outdoor receptacle on the immediate opposite side of the indoor receptacle/outlet instead of the three foot extended placement that we requested.  Though not ideal, my husband and I are very easy going people, and we decided we could live with the placement.  However, when I went outside to inspect the receptacle, I saw that Josh had installed what he called a "bell box" style receptacle, instead of the more traditional, basic flush mount outdoor style receptacle that was pictured on the Big Deal.  We told Josh we needed the flush mount receptacle; the bell box receptacle protruded so far out of the house exterior that it did not allow us to re-position the deck furniture back up against the house where it belonged.  He said that replacing it was not a problem, and that he would be back on Monday to finish the job. But, come Monday, Josh didn't show up and no one called. I tried to reach him at the number he gave me and it was no longer in service!
I then called Mark Gosling.  Once again, I left a couple of messages over the course of a week,  none of which were returned.  Then, on one of my calls to a different phone number that I had for Mark, he picked up the call. He told me that he was sorry he didn't get a chance to return any of my previous calls, and that he had "fired" Josh.  He didn't provide any details about why he fired him, and I didn't ask, but acknowledged that if he was down a tech unexpectedly, he must be backed up on his schedule. Mark told me that he appreciated my understanding and that he would get out to rectify the problem sometime that week.  I asked only that he give me a day or two notice so that I could arrange to be there and he said, no problem. By week's end, with no word from Mark again, I called him.  Another whole week passed, with a couple more un-returned phone call/messages.  Finally, I called from a different phone, and Mark picked up on the call.  He apologized again, telling me he needed to speak with someone at Angie's List, because the Big Deal offer that I received was some kind of mistake -- he hadn't offered any such Big Deal in a long time.  He told me that he had been in the ER one night, and I expressed my concern about balancing work and health. Then he told me that he would be at our house the Monday coming, at 9:00 a.m., to switch out the bell box style for the flush mount receptacle - the one that was advertised, and the one that we needed.

Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. no one from Gosling Electric showed up.  By 10:30, when no one had bothered to contact me, I called Mark Gosling. I left messages at the phone numbers that I had for him, asking him to call and let me know how far out they were from doing our job.  At 12:00 noon, I sent an email to him at the email address listed on his website, asking him to please call and let me know the status.  I even called and left a message the next day, as did my husband, but, by this time, I was not surprised when we didn't receive any response from Mark.
Now, I just feel so foolish. I never doubted, not for a second, that Mark would honor the appointment date that he made with me. I feel ashamed at being so naive--another gullible senior citizen.
