  • He showed us a hole in a small hose that he believed was causing flooding form the bottom of the washer. We thought it was fixed. We did two loads of laundry that night and the flooding was worse than ever. I called the company multiple times the day after, no response. I sent an email and left a voice mail, no response. We paid $200 and have to hire another company to try and fix it. I am very disappointed in Adv Appliance repair.

  • Sadly, NOT well at all. Mr. E. was openly miffed that we had not engaged him to refinish the piano, saying he was the only person in town who refinished pianos. Okay... not any information to which we were privy... and we'd seen our friend's work! Had played the piano since it was returned and it didn't sound out of tune.. but the home was part of a charity tour in 5 days and we wanted it to be in top form. We'd been told of the 8 houses on tour, we had the best piano so the town's "prodigy" would be playing for the tour. Can say that I was surprised that after tuning, Mr. E did not play much, if at all. I do not remember hearing a single tune. He simply got up, was paid, and left. Our former tuner would play for a long time .. we always had quite a concert as he made sure it sounded as he wished it to be. We're not hard folks to get along with but I do remember feeling that Mr. E. was cold and certainly not very personable that day. Could have deducted that it was just "a bad day" but very definitely had the feeling that it was in response to the fact that we'd had someone else refinish the instrument. Anyway, a busy 5 days ensued and the tour pianist arrived before the tour. I told him we'd had it tuned for him that week. He proceeded to launch into a classical tune and when he hit the bass keys it sounded like someone had hit a full steel drum with a rubber hammer. He was shocked and so was I. He asked "WHEN did you have this tuned?" Needless to say, his afternoon tour concert was severely restricted as he tried to avoid bass notes! Embarrassing? You can't imagine. I think had there been time, I would have called Mr. E to ask what was the problem.. but with the tour starting in an hour.. not an option. Later we had Mr. Charles, the well known blind tuner who served Charleston for so many years evaluate the piano. He wasn't sure what had happened but after working with it for a while, felt we probably were going to have to have all the bass strings replaced or other considerable work done. We later talked to a fellow from North Carolina who rebuilds pianos and he said it certainly should not have gone from sounding "okay" ( even to our non professional ears) to "thunk" in a few days. It has been so bad that our young grandchildren would hit the bass keys and collapse in laughter. One said it sounded like "bad thunder". After quite a few years of just not using the instrument, we decided it was time to bite the bullet and see what could be done. We called another of the area's tuners and without being critical of the prior situation, he said that the strings did not need to be replaced. When he left last week, the piano sounded like it's "old self"... and the concert after tuning was music to our ears. Perhaps time, humidity, heat, etc. has altered the pin block density.. but it certainly did not explain how the instrument could have sounded so AWFUL 5 days post tuning several years ago. I will never forget the "THUNK" and the look on the young musician's face! Sorry, but I would never recommend Mr. E to anyone after that experience.

  • The tuning began with a general cleaning of the sound board and then proceeded with the string adjustment. At the conclusion, he explained what needed to be done going forward to keep the instrument in its best tune. Very courteous and professional. We wouldn't think of using anyone else.

  • William was very polite and professional. His shop was neat, clean, and organized. I could tell that he had several projects he was working on but he was able to replace my cushions in just a few days. He took the time to explain his recommendations for the size and density of the foam and the need to replace the batting for a more comfortable seat. I could not be more pleased with the outcome, it made all the difference in the world, it feels like a brand new sofa.

  • We had purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer from Swift appliance, which were installed in our new build in June.  When we  actually began using the machines a month later, after moving into our home, we noticed the washer drum sounded as though it was not balanced.  Over the next month the noise just kept getting worse and we called Swift Appliance about the problem. They sent out a repairman, who said it was Whirlpool policy to replace the damaged part and he would order a new drum right away.  When the "new" drum came 10 days later, not only was it rusted and the rubber gasket showed a lot of wear, it also made all kinds of noise when the repairman turned the drum!  After contacting both customer service and the repair department at Whirlpool and getting a complete run-around and no assurance of receiving a new part for a new washer, we called Swift Appliance. We now have a new Washing Machine that is blissfully quiet!  Thanks, Nancy :)

  • Very well.  My piano has been through quite a few moves, put in storage and not tuned in ages.  John worked hard to get it back in tune and it sounds wonderful.  Thank you John!!

  • This has been going on since February after 3 service calls they finally replaced the unit.  I have to go through a lot of effort and repeated calls to store. They didn't return messages or call.
I had another bad experience with the store a few years ago. Purchasing through them a second time was not my choice.
I would suggest going to another store for your appliances unless you like being jerked around.

  • They offer a military discount. They delivered the appliances to our home. The refrigerator did take a little longer because it was not in stock when we purchased it. We always have a fine experience with Lowe's.

  • They came out July 7 and he cleaned up the mess, checked it over, ordered some parts, but didn't fix the fridge (he couldn't until he got the parts.) So in the meantime, I bought a mini fridge and still haven't been reimbursed, even though they said they would.
He came yesterday 07/21 and left telling me he would call me later but he never did. I called this am and asked to speak to a supervisor, but he was too busy to talk to me. I don't have another appointment yet because I can't reach anyone. I am still using the mini frdige and waiting to hear back so I can finally get my fridge fixed and stop getting the run around. I am at my wit's end.

  • They called, they set up a good window for looking at the problem
The inspector was professional and very knowledgeable
The Pick-Up crew was mindful over everything, didn't stink of cigarettes and were polite in all mannerisms
The Cust Serv Rep's were quick and proper, make dealing with a Service Dept simple and not a hassle like most places these days
Hopefully not jinxing by writing this, but stuff like this is what I look to Angie's List for and if there is something of this notoriety in a world where people are using it consistently, better to get it out ASAP so it may help someone make a more informed decision.
*** Epilogue*** The guys came out Saturday, on time and very pleasant- They replaced the sofa and all accoutrements (couch seat cushions and 4 each down pillows)..... In this day and age, my wife and I are so pleased- would we recommend them, Y E S....
It is hard to find a business that will work expeditiously and not to haggle- our friends dealt with another company and they were offered a different sofa (repaired/rebuilt from stock) or a check pro rata.... Thanks for rekindling my faith in the local business, I will shop there again, guaranteed. AS for the price- You really do get what you pay for....evening al
