    Custom Carolina Construction LLC
Carson did an AMAZING job! Even with the hurricane he managed to finish the deck quickly without sacrificing quality. I got quotes from five different companies. Carson's was the most fair by far. He was also great to brainstorm with and gave me a ton of great ideas. He was incredibly responsive and kept me apprised of his progress the whole time. I will absolutely be using him again.

    Charleston Electric
Matt H. was fantastic. He took care of the old fan and made it loo so simple. He was professional, actually came a day early, which worked out really well for me. It took him no time to take down the old fan and replace the new one. I was impressed. I had had someone from another company change a fan out 2 years ago. The guy took 3 hours. I was so shocked and didn't really want go through that again, but knew that it was not the greatest idea to try to change the fan myself. So, I read the reviews on Angie's list and chose Charleston Electric. So glad I did. I would want Matt to come out and fix any electrical problem. He is trustworthy, knowledgeable, personable, and fast. I have already recommended him to a friend on Sullivan's for her electrical work. She is planning to call and ask for Matt.

    Triple R. Maintenance, LLC.
Extremely well. I told Johnny to treat my house like it was his house. If he saw something we needed to address, he brought it to my attention and gave me options for timeline and repairs. The initial roof repair was done on a fixed estimate. We are now at the point where they buy the materials with a 20% markup and charge by the hour. The workmanship has been very good, and Johnny checks behind his crew to see that things are done to his high standards. I would use Triple R Maintenance for any work I need done on any of my properties moving forward.

    CRC Improvements
Charles came out and gave me a very reasonable estimate on the repairs I needed. He was able to start almost immediately and did great work. He was extremely conscientious as far as making sure I was satisfied before payment. I intend to use him again for some other work in the near future.

    Five Star Painting
Bryan is very professional and so is his entire crew. They painted the entire exterior of my extremely large and historic home.   He came out very promptly to give an estimate, has excellent communication with weekly status updates and was exact on how long it would take.  His team did an excellent job.  Many people have complemented their work.  I would highly recommend him and his team.

    Five Star Painting of Charleston
Fantastic! I typically only write reviews when I have experience that is above and beyond expectations. Bryan, from the start, was professional and very willing to work with my timeframe. I'm not living in Charleston right now and my availability was limited. He came out to the condo twice initially at my request - one time to do the estimate and the second time when I could be there to meet him in person to confirm colors, etc. I had just had my floors done and this had been a nightmare situation; I was not happy with the results ( I went with someone who was not on Angie's list and that was a big mistake), so I was really hesitant about doing any more work on the condo, but it needed to be painted. When I met Bryan, he answered all my questions and just put me ease that the crew he had were people he had worked with for years; he did NOT subcontract out! They started when they said they would and finished when they said they would... And not only are the results beautiful, the painters were neater and more precise in their painting than I ever could have expected. And, Bryan was aware that I would not be available to supervise, that I was out of state. He and his crew had open access to the condo and could have easily taken advantage of the situation, but they absolutely remained above board. His crew was amazing. Not only did they do an amazing paint job, but they were neater than any work crew that I have had out at my condo. I had asked Bryan to fix some holes and cracks in the walls, and they had to do these with no lights in either of the bathrooms. Again, Bryan worked with me on everything. My friend went by my condo the first night and sent me pictures. Everything was so clean and neat, as if they'd never been there, but they had been there because the new color was on the walls!! My friend was very impressed, especially after she saw the finished product. She praised the work to me over the phone! Given the fact that I'm a female and that I wasn't going to be around to monitor the paint job, there was more than enough opportunity for Bryan and his crew to take advantage of the situation. The exact opposite- Bryan called me when his crew had finished and said that he would have one of his supervisor's he's worked with for 7plus years to come out again and see if she couldn't address an area behind my front door that he didn't like!! Who does that? Only people who are honest and take pride in their work! It's the best Christmas present ever! And it's been such a relief for me to work with someone who is trustworthy and conscientious. I am over-joyed that I had Bryan and his crew paint my condo. I will use them again and again and will spread the word! My friend wants his contact info to paint her home. And as far as price, Bryan was slightly ($100 or so ) more than another quote, but I went with Bryan because I had a gut intuition about him and didn't feel that about the other person. So far Angie's list has not steered me wrong or my gut! Bryan has restored my faith that there are really good, honest, and ethical people in the home improvement industry! You should choose Bryan and his crew for all your paint needs! I recommend him without hesitation!!

    Myriad Painting LLC
After a professional consultation and a prompt bid, he delayed the start three times. The second time, when I made a special trip to meet him at 9 am he was a no show and did not answer his phone or offer any explanation til after 3 pm when I got a text message that his workers were and quot;throwing up.and quot; On the rescheduled start date I met him, came back after an hour and saw he was about to put paint on the trim without any prepping. He then blamed a lack of time! As I was now under the gun with tenants moving in in a few days, after they rescheduled once already, I offered to readjust my expectations of the level of prep and went across the street for iced tea, offering to buy him one. On my way back I got another text he had walked off the job!

Jimmy Cox low bid my job to get it and then he upped his price when he got to my house.  I reluctantly agreed to the higher bid.  He said that he had lumber at his house and then called and said that he didn?t and asked me to meet him at Lowe?s to buy $150 worth of lumber, which again upped the price.  After not even finishing half of the job, he said that he had to leave early because his son had prom that night.  He then asked me to pay for the whole job early in cash, which I did because he said that he wanted to be able to pay his cousin for helping him and pay for his son?s prom that night.  He promised that he would be back to finish the job the next day.  HE NEVER SHOWED UP AGAIN!!!

    World Granite LLC
This company was the actually installer of my kitchen counter tops.  I had them made specifically from recycled glass to go in a beach house.  World Granite measured and cut the slabs and did a good job.  When we set the appliances, they came back out when requested and adjusted (cut) the counter tops slightly so that the appliances would fit correctly.  I will use them again when needed.

    Chehaw River Woodworks
The broken leg was more valuable, and the repair is barely visible. The movers saved the piece so there was no much new wood added. It was fluted leg in a fruitwood. The dining chair matches the rest of my chairs. I'm very satisfied and would recommend them to anyone. Because of their reasonable prices they are very busy, and you should not expect a quick turnaround. That was not a problem for me. I only cared about the quality of the work.
