    Family Physicians Spartanburg
    Dr. Karen Hunter is a genuine caring and knowledgeable doctor. I had a very hard time finding a good PCP when I relocated here 3 years ago and once I found her, I knew I was in good hands. She is very thorough and listens to you, very understanding and compassionate. I couldn't ask for a better doctor to trust my care to.

    Westgate Family Physicians
    I recomend Westgate Family Physicians. Our family of 6 has been seeing Dr. Bailes and occasionally one of the other Drs when Dr. Bailes is out of the office. They are are great group of Christian doctors who have went the extra mile for our family. There is a sick call every Saturday morning for those weekend emergencies visits. They also try to save your money with how they write prescriptions. I can almost always get an apointment within 24 hours of calling and always get a call back the same day when I call wit questions for the doctor.

    I've been using him for about 10 years. He's pretty knowledgeable and does a good job. I do pretty good with exercising and watching what I eat, so my body doesn't even know it's diabetic anymore. He's pretty good with that. He answers any of my questions. He's a nice guy and is straight up with me. He's completely honest with his patients and cares about you. He treats you like family. He does a really good job of taking care of you. I know all the staff there. There's four doctors there and they're all nice and the staff is all nice. Everyone is pretty good. The office is really nice and comfortable. They have a nice waiting room that's usually never overcrowded. They try to keep things moving so you don't have to wait so long. They also have x-ray and other basic diagnostic equipment. They can also do all the blood work there. It's as self-contained as you could want. I like that.

    Jordan, Dr. Michael J.

    I was very happy with Dr Jordan. He was professional, personable and obviously knew his stuff. I will be going back to schedule this procedure in the next year. He asked how I'd heard about him. I told him Angie's List and he said and quot;People really use that?!and quot;

    In January I went in for my procedure. TOLD I was having gen. anes! After I made it perfectly clear gen. anes.makes me sick. Was supposed to be under approx. 1 and 1/2 hrs. The laser broke and the tech had to come from over an hour away to fix it. Ultimately, I was under 4 hrs.! Sick for several days as a result. Obviously, the procedure did not work. Went back in April to re-do several areas. Given a facial nerve block that required multiple injections to my face. At the end of the procedure, MY HEART STOPPED!! He told sweet Amy to call 911. He did, I think, chest compressions, shook me by my shoulders and raised my legs. He then went out to my friend and told her my lips were blue and an ambulance was on the way. Ultimately, I started breathing better. I heard him say to cancel the ambulance, so I would not have to pay for it. REALLY, I AM GOING TO PAY FOR THE AMBULANCE!?! Shock, shock --- my eyes have just as many lines (if not more) than before. My friends have said, "I thought you had an eye job"! I have a daily before and after photo gallery. I talked to him about compensation for an unsuccessful surgery and he was incredibly condescending. He say he was satisfied that he did a good job. I paid several thousand dollars for this failure. He even had the nerve to say my surgery cost him money because he had to pay to have his laser repaired. AT WHAT POINT ISTHE PATIENT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DOCTOR'S EQUIPMENT. Please use a board certified plastic surgeon!!!!!! If anyone has had a similar experience with this doctor you can email me at oliver11@bellsouth.net with proof that you have had a bad experience. Hala and Amy are wonderful ---// caring and delightful. Make sure if you email me to put his name on the subject line. RUN FROM HIM!

    Dr. Austin was very helpful, she has a great bedside manner, she asked and answered a lot of questions and offered a couple different options to help with my condition.  Her treatment and follow-up have been great--it's made a big difference in the quality of my life.  I highly recommend her.

    He worked me in within two days, something seemingly impossible with other gastroenterologist I've tried to get an appointment with. He was thorough, took time to ask a lot of questions and listen to my answers and complaints and was able to diagnose what was wrong with me. The office staff was very friendly and professional. My only complaint would be that he is a little hard to understand because of his accent.

    The total hip replacement surgery went very well. Everything was well planned. I was in my room when I woke up and already hooked up to the monitors. Nurses came in every four hours to check on me. This is the first time I have had surgery in the Hospital. I am 60 years old. I had very good Doctors. All the Hospital workers were great to me. Surgery was on September 20th and I was released on the 23rd of September. Job well done thanks to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center Spartanburg , SC 29306

    I liked Dr. Bean very much. He took his time and listened thoughtfully to every symptom or problem that I described. He provided thoughtful, helpful answers and did not rush me as I went through my list of questions.

    I was very unhappy with the set up of this practice. It was easy to get an appointment, and after having my exam, I can understand why. First, I arrived ahead of time to fill out the usual paperwork listening to those horrible doctor's advert programs blaring on the tv (the fake talk shows). Then I was given a form to sign with the practices expectations of ME. Really! I am not making that up. For example, if you are over 15 minutes late, they can assign any doctor. If you miss an appointment, they charge you. If they need to call in a prescription for you, there is a $25 charge. That was only 3 of a list of 20 or so rules. Missing was a list of what I could expect from them.
    So after I get my paperwork done, I am called to the window to PAY IN ADVANCE! Really? Before I even have the chance to talk to the doctor?
    This is the part that kills me. The doctor was 50 minutes late to see me. So, evidently, patients have all the obligations and we are there to serve the doctors.
    I really liked Dr. Aslip, that that is why I didn't totally flunk the practice. She was very patient and knowledgeable. Then we came to yet another problem in the practice. She ran usual blood test for a medical condition I have. But YOU DON'T GET THE RESULTS OF YOUR TEST UNTIL YOU COME BACK IN AND PAY FOR ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. I do not find that acceptable, and Dr.Alslip made an exception (one time only) and said she would call with the results. Which really should have been a big deal since I did pay for the tests.
    But if you had a medical condition, the practice expects you to come in for your blood work and then to come back for a second appointment to get the results.I question how they would know what to test before you would see the doctor. I consider this a waste of my time when they could just mail me a letter with the results. In addition, for most conditions it appears that you would need to come in twice a year which would mean 4 appointments.
