The eye appointment went well.  The doctor prescribed bifocals and told me to talk to the associates that sell glasses in the lobby of the practice.  Although I was very satisfied with the doctor, I was not satisfied with the optical sales portion of the business.  The costs were sky high and you have to wait to be fitted and wait when the glasses come in.  Bottom line, if you need an optical appointment, this is a very good practice, but if you actually need to buy glasses you can find cheaper, more efficient locations in the area.

    Yeager Vision Care

I didn't have to wait that long (5 minutes) to start my exam unlike other optometrist offices that I visited in the past (One appointment was an 1 1/2 hour wait!). The staff were all friendly and Dr. Yeager was great. One of the main reasons that I chose this provider was due to the fact that they provide the

Optomap retinal exam (optional for $25). I live 30 miles away from Yeager Vision Care, but to me it's worth it. The staff would explain what they were testing (and why) and Dr. Yeager explained the results for me in simple, easy-to-understand terms afterwards. I would highly recommend this provider to anyone.

    Oulay Jewelers
My eyeglass frames broke this week and I shuddered to think of the $250+ it would cost to replace them.  I checked with two opticians in town and one of them mentioned Oulay as a possible service provider.  Oulay repairs (and manufactures) jewelry and repairs metal eyeglass frames with a laser welder. He did my repair while I waited for $30.  What a relief!  You cannot tell my glasses were repaired unless you looked with a magnifying glass.  WOW!
Oulay Xaykosy is a fine gentlemen, courteous and proud of his work.  When you look him up, tell him you found him on Angie's List!

They were very friendly and helpful. Not only did my husband go there, but my father-in-law went there too. He is elderly and they were very kind and considerate. As a matter of fact, he had to have a little bit of in office surgery and they let me stay in there with him so they were great. We were able to get in in a timely manner.

    Costco Optical
Dr. Neely is the optometrist who does the eye exams for Costco Optical. It is fast, easy and reasonable to get an eye exam there. The exam machines state of the art. The doctor is only available for exams 2 days per week, but the optical department at Costco is always open during store hours.
It is so much easier and quicker to get an eye exam at Costco than at other optical places. I usually takes me less than an hour.

    Wilkins Opticians
When I walked in the door I was greeted with a friendly welcome from staff and didntbhave to wait long to see the doctor. He was very nice and I was given the most thorough eye exam ever. The staff that helped me pick out my new glasses were also very nice and helpful, they were there to help and answer any questions I had or give their opinion if I asked but didn't hover over me like some sales people do. This was a great experience and I will definitely return and recommend to others.

    Weaver, Dr. Paul D
The appointment was good. They were very friendly and it was quick. They took my insurance and they were no issues. It was quick, easy and pleasant. They were able to get me in when I wanted. They were professional. I haven't gotten my glasses yet. I will definitely use them again.

Have been going to Dr. Gwin for several years. Recommend Piedmonth Eye to all my friends and family too. Dr Gwin is a cornea specialist, (even does cornea transplants) and specializes in fitting contact lenses. He has all the newest machines to diagnose. Very kind and caring person, with a great staff. He is very gentle and explains everything to you before he does it - good for a chicken like me.

    AMERICA'S BEST CONTACTS & EYEGLASSES
My sons glasses got broken and he can't see more than a foot in front of him without them, so we had an emergency scramble to get him contacts. No other offices could fit us in that day, we started about 9:30 am on a Friday. Since we had been there before, they worked us in for contacts and glasses exam. The place is always PACKED, so wait times are considerable, but the alternative was unacceptable. The exam went well, the doctor was friendly and helpful and my son was able to get contact lenses that day. They ordered a pair of glasses that day, March 7 and got a years worth of contacts for 90.00. The problem is that they never called me to let me know the glasses came in, and on April 3, I went in the office to check and they couldn't find them. They said they showed up as THERE, but no one could find them. They said they would reorder, but I just got the RX, I won't take chances on another 3 week + wait for backup glasses. Prices are good but service is not.
