Every aspect of the remodel went exactly as expected. No surprises is my favorite part of any construction project. They did excellent work, paid attention to details, and gave us exactly what we asked for. I would definitely use them again.

    Decker Home Repairs LLC
Poorly. The business is disorganized, priced very high, and the work was sloppy. They did correct their errors, but it took them two more tries, and this was really basic work. Their first work crew was inept, took long lunches, and slow. It took them 4 days to do something that a qualified crew could do in a day and a half. They left cigarette butts behind and generally treated my brand new sod like a construction site instead of a yard (I had to clean up behind them every afternoon). When they were finished, they left their unused materials behind and didn't ask me to inspect the final work before they cleared out. The posts for the steps weren't plumb, the wood work was sloppy, and the siding didn't extend to the foundation. When I complained, they sent a 2nd individual who corrected some of the problems, not all. Then I complained again, and they sent a 3rd guy who finished the corrections. I spoke to Jamie Decker afterwards and told him I was generally disappointed, especially for the high price I was paying. He said he had very low margin in the job, which isn't surprising considering it took a three man crew almost four days to do a very small job wrong. When I pointed this out to him, he said he was so frustrated with his business that he was considering shutting it down - but he never offered to reduce the invoice for my troubles, and never actually apologized for the general lack of quality and reliability. It was bizarre. At that point I wasn't even sure he cared if he got paid, he was so despondent. But when he hadn't been paid in 3 days, I started getting nastygrams from his accounting software and late fees tacked on. I paid the final invoice about a week afterward, but when I complained about the late fees and reminded him that his inept crew took far longer than they should have to complete the work, he became angry and said that I was being "unprofessional" by calling his crew inept...but he admitted that they had done subpar work in the previous conversation. Strange. I didn't pay the late fees. This is the short version of the story. In reality it was a much longer ordeal, but it's not worth the time it would take to write. Would never hire this business again, and I'd be wary of giving a deposit to someone who says he's thinking about quitting.

We were extremely pleased with Charlie and his highly professional team at Precision Carpentry & Plumbing LLC, who did the most wonderful job creating a superb In-Law suite and converting other home space into a beautiful master bathroom and bedroom. We had purchased new construction which had the potential to give my wife and I a downstairs Inlaw suite adjacent the primary house, which our daughter and son-in-law's family would live in, and to and also turn an unfinished space upstairs into a huge second master suite with bedroom and bathroom. The potential was there, but finding the right company to help us was paramount to making this project successful. We talked to several, but selected Precision Carpentry & Plumbing from Angie's List, because we could tell they were experienced, and wouldn't cut corners, and had reasonable prices (they did not disappoint). While all the other companies would give us a extremely brief description of what they would do (or simply give us a single price quote), Charlie and his associate Joedy spent the time up front (at their own expense) to provide us a detailed breakdown of all aspects of the job, including all individual costs, in an Excel spreadsheet. That gave us the ability to tweak the work, deciding where we could save money with other alternatives. We could also pick our own materials, or buy them ourselves. They started by covering all the lower level hardwood flooring and stairway with Ram Board protective sheeting, so nothing would get damaged. They also added it later as they put in new flooring. They cleaned up after themselves each day, and never left a mess anywhere. We didn't even need a dumpster, because they would take away debris regularly. Downstairs, they took down a wall between a front room "library" and a huge walk in closet, adding a header beam for support, and turned that closet into a fully functional Kitchen, with all the normal full sized appliances. That included tapping into the adjacent bathroom plumbing and removing some concrete (from the slab foundation) to add provide a sink, dishwasher and disposal in our new Kitchen (the house now has two full kitchens). They wired all the electrical, adding a separate breaker box, which had to tie into the original, and re-directed all the HVAC ductwork. They did the complete job, including framing, sheetrock (and finishing) custom cabinetry, replacing the flooring, adding the granite counter and backsplash and topped it off with adding crown molding to both the new living room and kitchen. They even replaced a window in the master bedroom with a sliding door (which we purchased ourselves), and sectioned off the area from the main house (going into the original master bedroom), turning an entrance way into the bedroom, into a small closet. Finally they added a door between the existing hallway, and the garage, which happened to have a third car port, and provided us with our own entrance, all on the same lower level. Upstairs there was an unfinished space in the attic area that was supposedly for a 6th bedroom, but had ductwork running throughout the space. Adjacent to that was a small finished bedroom. Charlie's team converted that bedroom into a master bathroom, and finished off the bedroom, beefing up the floor joists and adding the proper ceiling joists, and refinished the ceiling beneath where they were working (our In-law living room), where any nails may have popped. They found an elegant way to tie into the existing house plumbing in order to add a shower, dual sink vanity and a toilet (room). They laid the tile we purchased ourselves and created a walk-in closet to our specifications, and of course handled all the electrical and HVAC requirements (after verifying our system could handle the new space). All in all we were extremely pleased. Not only did Charlie stand behind all his work, he took care of all the permits and had everything inspected multiple times. We received weekly updates to the spreadsheet, showing what was worked on, and only paid for what was done each week. Their workmanship was supreme, and their carpentry work, including the detailed finishes is second to none. We are so pleased, as we now have a beautiful multi-generational home, where our family can live together in harmony, but also with our individual space. Thank you Charlie!

    A.B.W. Construction
Andrew started a month earlier than anticipated, with the understanding that he was working another project, but would work us in whenever possible. We were thrilled, as this afforded us use of the cabana during the fall months. We had a crudely drawn footprint and some pictures of what we wanted the finished project to be. Andrew made it happen, providing exceptional carpentry skills, suggestions, and excellent communication skills. He showed respect for his crew, who worked as a team beside him. The finished structure is beyond what we expected, and the quality of the work is outstanding. The attached picture shows the cedar trellis unstained, as we wanted the cedar to weather prior to staining. What the picture does not show is the cabana tongue and groove ceiling with fans, and Andrews suggestions for a loft in the storage area. We have recommended him to others in our neighborhood, and would not hesitate to use his company again.

    Roof Roof
Once the contract was agreed upon, the work started the very next day. That blew my mind, that they were that available to start. The job took 3 days, 2 for the roof and one for the vinyl work. The roof was beautiful, the cleanup was great and the I am very satisfied with my roof. The vinyl work had a hitch of communication between the subcontractor. that was remedied quickly and the work was completed. This is the second time I have used Roof Roof, and I will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.

Andrew Woodford is an excellent contractor and a man of his word. The quality of his work is very high. he brought creativity to our project that was so welcomed. His attention to detail is more than my husband and I expected. He was flexible when we needed it but very prompt in replying to our inquiries and always prompt on the job. He treated his co-laborers with professionalism. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for quality workmanship from a patient and kind man.

    Reeves Construction
They were terrible about saying they would show up, and did not! Wouldn't answer phones and confirm when they would be at our home. Now, after 7 months later they claim we owe them money! Told them to take it up with Ins. Co. Now they are harassing us. coming to our door..had to call police on them before the man John R. would leave. Now they are calling our phones saying we owe them more money, but never say how much? Beware of this Company! We paid them all the checks from our Ins. company and they didn't even finish the work they were suppose to do.

    Reeves Construction
I contracted with Reeves Construction late November 2016 after a tornado damaged my home. Other homes in my cul de sac were damaged far worse than mine, so I was patient when work didn't immediately begin. My roof was finally replaced on 1/26/17 and, although the work was satisfactory, the debris clean up was less than desirable. Many nails and razors were left in my yard and my requests for them to roll it again with the magnet roller went unheeded. I eventually borrowed my neighbor's and did it myself after my son stepped on a roofing nail. Window replacement began on 3/2/17 and as of today, 4/4/17, not all have been completed even though measurements were taken for possible supplement requests for insurance. The debris and broken windows remained in my front yard for 21 days until I informed them that Greenville County Police and Code Enforcement had been summoned. I have also repeatedly called Reeves Construction to discuss the unresolved issues without any success. Only after blasting them on their social media page did I finally get a response from Donna. When I asked why my requests for invoices had been repeatedly been ignored her response was that they had sent invoices to both me and my son. My sons are 16 and 19, so that was an untruth. Communication, accountability, and integrity are all suspect with this company. I will never contract with them again nor suggest them to anyone.

    Freedom Roofing
After the November tornado ripped through our little neighborhood in Simpsonville, we were hounded with so many people wanting to do work on our home. Our neighbor gave the guys at Freedom our contact info & we were contacted the next day to set up the initial consult. Levi arrived on time & thoroughly went over all our insurance paperwork & made sure we understood everything. Another consult appointment was set up for a few days later & that was it for us! They began the work the next week & are almost completely finished with all the work, after only about 3 weeks! I highly recommend this company if you need repairs!

    Gilstrap Roofing
I contacted Gilstrap to make an appointment to review gutter and soffit replacement. Chase came out to review the job within 2 days and was polite - said he would follow-up with a quote for the job. It's been almost 2 weeks now with no quote and no response to my follow-up.
Very upset that Gilstrap wasted my time!! Disappointing experience with this Angie's List company.
