Pediatric Care reviews in Simpsonville

My children have been seeing Dr. Woodlief as a pediatrician.  I love her.  But her office and the politics surrounding everything else is a nightmare. Due to an adoption and surprise pregnancy, my kiddos are 4 1/2 mos. apart.  I'm trying to their vaccinations on the same schedule, so as to make my life a bit less challenging.  They want my children to have a checkup everytime I schedule shots.  They then tell me the office policy is no more than 2 children receive childhood vaccines on the same day?!?!  Are you kidding me...you are a pediatricians office?!?!?  It takes forever to find a time slot where both my kids can get their shots on the same day.  Fine okay, painful, but I'll deal with it.
Today (Sept. 4), I call to get my son in, so I can get a referral to a behavior specialist.  They offer me an appointment in a Month.  A month...my son is having issues that are greatly impacting his ability to learn and socialize in a classroom environment....and you want the teacher and I to wait a month for you to tell me that you'll give me the referral?  Then another how many months to get in to see the specialist?!?!  Part of being a pediatrician is being available to your patients in a timely manner.  This isn't timely.
I've also had not so great experiences with the physician assistant and nurse practitioner there.  I thought it was just me, but I've had several other parents tell me the same thing.
I do love that they offer same day sick appointments, but be prepared to sit in the office for up to an hour waiting to see the doctor.
Also know that your child's runny nose requires a visit every time.  Pink eye running through the class and you need drops...you'll have to see a doctor, even though you know it's pink eye.  If you see a doctor when your child first starts coughing and they tell you to call if it doesn't get better...be prepared to pay for a second sick visit when you have to go back again to get the medication you asked for in the first place.  Along with taking more time off work to take your kid to the doctor, you'll be wasting another hour waiting to see them and paying more money for that office visit.
Afterhours and your kid is sick...they don't have doctors on call.  They have nurses.  When you talk to the nurse, she'll tell you the following, "We aren't in your home, so we can't see your child and know the best choice.  You'll  need to decide what's best for your child...go to the ER or wait until morning." They can't prescribe anything for you because they are just nurses.
And when you mention to the doctor some of the horrible experiences you are having, she realizes that she isn't fully aware what's going on at the front desk.

I had to come back to the office after having been there just 2 weeks prior in order to get my son a vaccine he needed for school. I was a little irritated that someone hadn't thoroughly checked his immunization record the first time we were in the office, which would have prevented the need for this follow-up visit.
Despite that, the staff was very friendly once the error was caught and they squeezed us in even though there wasn't an appointment available that day in order for us to get a full shot record that we needed to pre-register him for school the next day.
In other visits, as this was my son's primary care physician, I've experienced lengthy wait times. I've also had issues with the doctor's not listening to me as a parent and I've found several of the doctors in the practice to lack knowledge in certain areas which has resulted in several unnecessary tests for my son, which is costly to me, even though I had told him that the and quot;symptomsand quot; they were witnessing were actually normal for my son.

Dr. Schultz is wonderful. On occasion we have been seen by other doctors in the group when we are there for a sick visit. I have enjoyed working with all the doctors. They are kind, caring and really listen. Most recently we had well checks and the doctors take keen interest in helping keeping my children healthy with advice and immunizations. We were referred to this group many years ago by another doctor whose own children went to this group. We will continue to visit Eastside Pediatrics for all our children's health care needs.

Great!  We never feel rushed.  She has a great bedside manner.  The office staff is always very pleasant and helpful.  There is never any wait to check in or out.  Always very nice to the kids as well.

On this visit, we saw Dr. Stoeber, who performed our son's circumcision. Dr. Stoeber was very patient in addressing my concerns and took time to answer my questions and explain the procedure with its risks and benefits. He was very knowledgeable and compassionate.

Our appt time was 10AM. We arrived at 9.55. At 10.10 while still sitting in the waiting area, my 2 yo sprained his ankle. At 10.20 we were finally called back for our appt. The nurse said "oh, that looks like it hurts". His ankle had swollen to the approx size of a ping pong ball and was red. However, she continued to take his weight and temperature. At 10.34 the Dr finally came into the room. She examined him for the initial reason for the appt, then looked at his ankle; time spent with the doctor was approximately 10 minutes. This is a pediatric office- making patients wait for 30 minutes with toddlers is unacceptable, on top of that, making us wait another 20 minutes after he injured himself is crazy. We will be seeking new primary care doctor for our children.

We have seen every doctor in this practice at some point and they are a great group of doctors. Very caring and thorough. The office is efficient, but you never feel rushed. They take time to answer your questions and explain as they go along. I highly recommend them. We typically see Dr. Dobson or Dr. Roemich, but all the doctors are great.

Everybody loves them, you can talk to anyone who takes their children to that group and I'm sure you'll hear rave reviews.  Everything about them is wonderful, I think everyone agrees with me.  I can't say enough good things about the. The practitioners, the staff.  It's a very child and parent friendly environment.  It's wonderful and there are excellent doctors, too.

We have been using Parkside for almost 5 months since the birth of our daughter and have been very impressed with their office staff and doctors. We see Dr Jones and are very happy with his knowledge and care of our daughter.

We were able to get an appointment within the hour. We were quickly seated in the room. It took a little longer than normal today than usual - but we were in & out of the office in less than an hour. (TOTAL including the waiting room) Dr. Jones was very helpful & gave great advice & recommendations.
