  First tried to contact via angies list, after a few days called personally. The man here in the Greenville area, Brady Brannon, was prompt to the visit and professional. I received the quote a few days later via email and it consisted of 5 or 6 bullet points generally describing the work and 2-3 pages of legal disclaimers indemnifying them of anything not spelled out in the bullet points. The quote itself was in the middle of three quotes for the job. Because of the legalese and the general, not very specific, bullet points, i then proceeded to email Mr Brannon for clarifications. First email back clarified about half of my concerns and it took over a week. The second email to finish clarifying my concerns has yet to come back (been over a month as of this writing). I've already had someone else do the work. I can't speak to how good Certapro painters is, they might be great. But the legalese of their agreements, failure to match such with written detail of the job, and inability to respond or clarify (feels like a big corporation that can't spend much time on any particular customer), really discourages me from trying them again in the future.

  Calling was quicker than messaging through Angies - after an appointment was set up, then the company responded to my message. The individual who assessed the job was very punctual for the assessment. A few days later, the quote came in the form of six bullet points that were somewhat vague and two pages of legal agreements indemnifying them from any responsibility for anything other than the six vague bullet points. My first email to clarify the bullet points resolved half the vagueness - after over a week waiting. Subsequent emails went unanswered to date. This company has some professionalism, and they may well do a good job, I don't know - but other elements are cold, corporate and, apparently, more interested in legal liability than customer satisfaction.

  Per Behr, the paint manufacturer's printed directions, and my phone conversation with Behr's technical assistance dept, I directed CertaPro Painters to back brush the paint on the bare, pressure treated, kiln-dried surface. My directions were ignored after several follow -up e-mails to revise their contract as presented to me. Before the contract was presented to me and before an estimate was presented, I personally instructed CertaPro to "back brush" the paint AFTER applying the paint with a spray OR roller. However, after the paint was first applied with a spray gun, CertaPro began to use a roller. I firmly objected and instructed them to "back brush" per Behr's instructions. The field rep for Behr was on the job and told the painter to roll it on against my objections. The paint job was completed with spray and roller, NOT according to Behr's recommended application. I understand that CertaPro saved time doing it their, but it was not to the standard that I expected nor paid for. Bottom line is I believe I received an inferior paint job.

  The process went very well. Mike contacted me within a day of requesting a quote by email. He visited my house and gave the quote within an hour. We coordinated around the weather, and then he and his team of 2 completed the work in 1 day. He called me part way through to let me know that the painted surfaces would likely need a second coat (my original quote was for 1 coat of paint and stain) to make sure my expectations were in place before I got home. He was right, and I am going to take the opportunity to fill the remaining screw holes from construction and have him back out to do the second coat of paint. His work is clean and precise, and I am happy to have our deck almost complete.

  Henry & his crew were wonderful to work with. I couldn't ask anymore from a contractor. He was prompt, communicated with me about everything they were doing and made sure I understood what was going to happen with process to completion. He also had some great suggestions on trim and color if asked. He was also willing to come back and do some additional work on painting some outside trim that my wife and I didn't originally realize needed to be done. Very thorough. Hands down the best contractor I've ever worked with.

  We love David! Personally, you can't find a better person, one who cares, requires excellent work from his subcontractors, and will work with you. As I have found out from friends who had work done by other contractors, it took longer than expected and was frustrating. But the overall work I am very happy with and would definitely use him again!

  We were very pleased with the quality of the work performed. The workmen were respectful of our home, and treated it with the same quality we would have done ourselves. While the estimated time to complete was understated, it was evident the job was not rushed to meet a deadline. we were also very flexible in this regard too - we just wanted the job done correctly, and it was. The management team checked on the progress of the job, and we felt any concerns would be addressed in a professional manner.

  The owner provided a thorough description of the work to be performed when quoting the job, and provided helpful recommendations on items to repair before the painting was started. We had multiple colors to be applied to the house (foundation, trim, base exterior walls, upper sections below roofline, shutters, and wood front door). The company owner helped us select the best set of color tones to achieve the most harmonious appearance. The work started on the promised date, and finished a couple days early because of cooperative weather. The paint crew cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. The quality of all work performed completely met our expectations. The price paid was very fair for quality of the finished product we received.
