Great. Mike has done work for me over the last 25 years from kitchen remodel to built in cabinets to ceramic tile work. He is always professional and no nonsense. Very fast and always neat and tidy. Nothing is too hard for him

Everything proceeded according to plan, despite some hurdles: David had to work in a very small space, with 90-year-old plumbing, uneven floors, and vendor delays. But David saw these as challenges rather than hurdles. We were constantly impressed with his adaptability, knowledge, and professionalism, Additionally, he was here every day on time from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.--often later--never taking a break, and always cleaning up as he went along. David is extremely conscientious and ethical--a real artist at his craft who loves what he does. We couldn't be happier with his work. He, and the bathroom, far exceeded our expectations!!

Unfortunately, things did not go as we had hoped.  These guys are capable of doing good work, but because of delays, they cut corners that affected the end result.  The worst of these were the tile floor and the vanity:  they ran out of floor tiles twice, but instead of reordering and causing further delays, they did a patch job, taking tiles from under and around the thresholds.  There are wider spaces between some tiles and thicker grout, and thick grout around and under the threshold where tiles are missing. A darker shade of grout was used to fill in pinholes that had formed when the original grout had dried, making those areas look wet. The vanity and backsplash are uneven against the wall, caulk is missing between the marble top and cabinet, and two pipes under the cabinet were leaking onto the shelf.  The toilet also rocked back and forth when we sat on it.  We had to call the plumber immediately to make the necessary repairs.
The owner was concerned about keeping the cost as close to the quoted price as possible, but I would gladly have paid more to have the job done right.  This was truly a case of "you get what you pay for."

I would like to comment on Mr. Lyle?s response to my review: 1) Mr. Lyle left all the ordering to me, but I did not order the wrong tile;  the warehouse delivered the wrong tile to the retailer.  2) The $50 over the bill was for the extra labor involved in tearing out the first floor.  3)  The remodel was not a complete tear out; there was no demolition-- we kept the original bathtub, toilet, and subway tiles.  4) The vanity was ok?d by Mr. Lyle before I ordered it.  It could not be centered (okay), but one back leg is on the floor, the other on the lip of the baseboard, making the backsplash uneven.  5)  I told Aaron at least twice that I was not happy with the ?patch? job on the floor.  The other mistakes were made on the last day, and I did not see them until after the men left for another job.  Mr. Lyle often complained about how long the job was taking, so I did not see the point in having him come back.

    Cromer Design & Construction
CDC returned in November to do the drywall - another high quality job. The price to do the job was high due to the unusual design of our house. An issue arose when we realized that we wanted rounded corners and Chad very graciously absorbed the extra cost as we were unable to pay any more than the agreed upon price. We were willing to forgo the rounded corners but Chad was committed to our satisfaction and had the drywallers do it at his expense.

I called and Aaron arrived within 40 minutes to look at the job and gave me an estimate.  He and 2 workers arrived 2 weeks later and began work. They were friendly, fast and efficient. They were  very respectful of my home and cleaned as they completed a task.  All debris was hauled away by them on a daily basis.  I am soooo pleased with the job they did and have recommended them to several friends and family members already.  Everyone wants to see my new bathroom and when they do see it they want one like it.

I am already planning for Aaron to do some work in my other bathroom and other areas.

At the end of the job we hired a third party inspector to walk down the work performed. The results reveled very minor correction all of which Aaron completed in less than 3 hours. A&B showed proof of insurance at the start of work and responded to every communication.    In closing, the A&B team cleaned the house removed the debris, completed work ahead of schedule and under budget.

John exceeded my expectations in every respect. He is professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond - even packaging up my old doors. His experience is evident and his knowledge of cabinetry makes me confident he could do any unique job. His prices were reasonable also.

Danny Pope contacted me the day after I called sometime in September and gave me an estimate before he left. The work began on October 8 and was mostly done by a single worker, Chip. Chip had to confront several issues and did a good job solving them. For example, the new vanity was not as wide as the previous one, and the base of the old vanity was embedded in the floor. There was a short holdup because Chip tried to use a saw instead of a sledge hammer to demolish the tub. There was a longer delay during the final week because the replacement tiles had not arrived. All in all the delays were no hardship and the excellent matching of the new to the old tiles more than mad up for it.

    Fred Drawdy Construction
I got Mr. Drawdy's name from Angie's List. He gave us a very fair estimate to remodel a bathroom. He had to expand a doorway, remove an existing tub and shower unit and install a new jetted walk in tub. He ran the electrical, moved the plumbing, sheet rocked and tiled the new wall. We could not be more pleased with his work. The new bathroom is beautiful. Fred Drawdy and his co-worker, Jeff, were both punctual, professional, courteous and worked non stop until the job was done. At the end of each day the work area was left as clean and neat as possible. If you need a contractor in our area, look no further, you have found an excellent one.
