    Mr. & Mrs. Fix It
Debi and Gary were unbelievable!! The BEST hard working couple I have ever dealt with. Everything got done very effectively, efficiently, professionally. I was amazed how everything turned out so perfect because they had hard working conditions. My father was bed ridden with Dementia and they had to work around him. They were a TRUE BLESSING!! Their work was outstanding!! Prices are very fair. Many thanks. I would highly recommend them!! VERY MUCH!!

    Mr. & Mrs. Fix It
Debi and Gary were the best! As a retired Clemson University professor who needed to rehab my house before selling it, they were a godsend. The performed a variety of duties which I had avoided for years. They are very smart and figured out ways to solve problems we had around the house. They are talented carpenters, painters, appliance installers (dishwasher). They even loaded our twenty-foot U-Haul truck for a subsequent move. Their prices are very good, maybe ridiculously so, and their work is excellent. Botton line: due to their work we were able to sell our house for full price! Please give them a chance. They will do what they promise on budget and on time!

    Top Hat Solutions LLC
All work was performed above and beyond as requested. Mr. Lee did a great job and is very precise in all that he does. Safety is a huge consideration as well as sturdiness and long lasting results. I would definitely recommend Top Hat (Top Quality Home Automation & Technology and Home Repairs), LLC. to anyone that needs top quality work done.

Unfortunately, things did not go as we had hoped.  These guys are capable of doing good work, but because of delays, they cut corners that affected the end result.  The worst of these were the tile floor and the vanity:  they ran out of floor tiles twice, but instead of reordering and causing further delays, they did a patch job, taking tiles from under and around the thresholds.  There are wider spaces between some tiles and thicker grout, and thick grout around and under the threshold where tiles are missing. A darker shade of grout was used to fill in pinholes that had formed when the original grout had dried, making those areas look wet. The vanity and backsplash are uneven against the wall, caulk is missing between the marble top and cabinet, and two pipes under the cabinet were leaking onto the shelf.  The toilet also rocked back and forth when we sat on it.  We had to call the plumber immediately to make the necessary repairs.
The owner was concerned about keeping the cost as close to the quoted price as possible, but I would gladly have paid more to have the job done right.  This was truly a case of "you get what you pay for."

I would like to comment on Mr. Lyle?s response to my review: 1) Mr. Lyle left all the ordering to me, but I did not order the wrong tile;  the warehouse delivered the wrong tile to the retailer.  2) The $50 over the bill was for the extra labor involved in tearing out the first floor.  3)  The remodel was not a complete tear out; there was no demolition-- we kept the original bathtub, toilet, and subway tiles.  4) The vanity was ok?d by Mr. Lyle before I ordered it.  It could not be centered (okay), but one back leg is on the floor, the other on the lip of the baseboard, making the backsplash uneven.  5)  I told Aaron at least twice that I was not happy with the ?patch? job on the floor.  The other mistakes were made on the last day, and I did not see them until after the men left for another job.  Mr. Lyle often complained about how long the job was taking, so I did not see the point in having him come back.

    Upstate Remodel
David reviewed the two bathroom floors to be tiled.  He offered some help in providing some stores to help in picking out some tile.  He also suggested using Schluter Ditra which would enhance the overall integrity of the installation.  We chose to go with this product.  He and his partner Thomas completed the project in five days.  We couldn't ask for anything better!  It certainly came out beautiful and the baths look so clean and spacious.  They were a joy to have them working here.  We'd recommend them in a heartbeat!!

Fighter Pilot Home Inspection & Repair

It went wonderfully!  Col. McCauley "flew in to lead the rescue mission" and well exceeded our expectations.

Mark offers the advantage of being both an experienced home inspector and a multi-trade renovation and repair man.  We asked him to repair the kitchen floor, replace a failed doorbell system (including the transformer), repair woodpecker damage to exterior cedar siding, reinforce the rear deck by bolting it to the house frame (which should have been done at original installation).  What's more, we asked him to advise us the way a good home inspector would about what to fix, various options and cost for each fix, and otherwise guide us in getting the entire project underway.

Mark even passed by some work for which we would gladly have paid.  He pointed out some items that were optional, sometimes suggested the less expensive option when we'd have paid more, and referred us to a bigger contractor when the kitchen floor inspection reveals subfloor issues better handled by a larger firm.  (At Mark's suggestion, I met this morning with Bruce Partridge of Partridge Remodeling, who is the same top-caliber type of expert that Mark is.  Can hardly wait to get started with Bruce and will report on Angie's List).

I've never gotten an invoice from any company of any size as well-prepared as Mark's.  It not only gives complete detail of materials and labor by task, but also a written description of each problem assessed and the repairs performed.  We have a complete history of Mark's work!  As a certified public accountant, I am delightfully astounded as the high quality of his invoice.

Mark did a great job of keeping us informed by phone, e-mail, and personal contact.

I have e-mailed blanket permission for Mark to give my name and contract info to anyone requesting a reference.  Glad to discuss this job with anyone who wants to know more.

Bravo, Col. McCauley!  You'll be the first I'll call in the future and feel very comfortable skipping the "competing bids" routine.

    A & B Remodeling llc
At the end of the job we hired a third party inspector to walk down the work performed. The results reveled very minor correction all of which Aaron completed in less than 3 hours. A&B showed proof of insurance at the start of work and responded to every communication.    In closing, the A&B team cleaned the house removed the debris, completed work ahead of schedule and under budget.

    Gilbert Lawn Care
He's pretty good. He's so busy now, it took him a while to get to us. He worked on the yard before we moved in and that's how I got him. I've been using him for 2 years. He's reasonable, the prices are god. He explains to us very good what he's doing. He lets us know ahead of time. When he prices something, he saves that price even though he's gotta put more money or cost you more money, he would still stick to the price he gave us. He's good. The only issue is getting out there when he said he will because he's busy and he's added more people. He does a lot more stuff now than he did years ago. But he may cut on the price because it did take him a while to get out in here.

    Affordable Handyman Service
I'm still working with him.  He will come back on Monday to put in ceilings. He's been really upfront with me and very helpful. It has been a fantastic service and very professional. He did what he said that he was going to do. He keeps me informed. It's been an extreme pleasure to work with him.
