    On a regular seasonal service call the technician noticed a leak in our basement that had the potential to short out the electric lines down there. On investigation, we discovered a garbage disposal leak that would have have caused major damage. His alertness saved us money. The new Ruud system we got a year ago is also saving us money over the previous Amana system, and it will have replacement parts more readily available. We would not go anywhere else for honest assessment of our needs and prompt, wonderful service.

    I called for an AC tune-up fully expecting to have to have more refrigerant needed and it did. Additionally the tech pointed out a couple of items that were dropping the efficiency and provided pictures on this phone so I didn't have to go into the attic or outside in the heat to see if I didn't want to. He used booties every time he came in the house and worked quickly. Overall good job and I'll call them again when I have a problem or just feel like I need a routine service for any HVAC work.

    To say I am upset and frustrated is a gross understatement. After reading through your testimonials on the website, I am confused as well. While I received a polite service call, the write-up that was delivered to the home warranty company specifically used language that would guarantee exclusion from coverage. To classify a repair as a repair and not a modification would guarantee coverage; to specifiy that an issue is not normal wear and tear when the only use has been normal use of the bathtub is ludicrous. I can only assume the home warranty repair rate does not net the company as much as the customer out of pocket rate.

    Parks Heating & Cooling Inc
    Parks Heating & Cooling was the contractor for the new-build house I purchased. Because of this I immediately started an annual maintenance contract with them. Well, 4 years into the maintenace contract the evaporator coil needed to be replaced at a cost of $1,073 (cost after my 10% discount). Technician told me they have had problems with evaporator coils on this model Lennox and there was a class action lawsuit with Lennox. I researched and found out I was to late to join lawsuit. Problem I have with Parks: - They knew about the problems - and the lawsuit - and failed to notify their customers. I have one more visit on my maintenance contract. I usually call Nov. 1st for the Winter check but woke up this morning with the heat not working. Called Parks and it will be $75 for a technician (plus labor and parts) if I want someone out now - or I can wait and schedule my Winter checkup. Asked to speak to a supervisor - I was told the supervisor (Tony) was in a meeting and he would call when he got out - that was 2 hours ago. Beware of Parks.

    Called out the Cool Doctor because my AC was blowing warm air. He came out the same day and spent some time troubleshooting the issue with my unit. He ended up putting a pound of refrigerant into the system as it was slightly low and caused the coil to freeze up. He took care of removing excess water from inside the unit afterwards. He wanted to make sure that was the only issue so he asked for us to run the blower for a few hours and turn on the AC later into the evening. He came back out the next day to double check that everything is working fine and to help our mud issues with the drain line, he brought PVC pipe to extend the drain line away from the unit about 10 feet. He did not want payment until I was happy and everything was working perfectly. After the second time he returned, everything was working perfectly and charged me the typical price of just a service call from one of the other big companies (under $200) and that included 2 trips to my home, a pound of R22, diagnostics and about 10 feet of PVC pipe. I will never use any other company than the Cool Doctor going forward. I will note that I have a small leak in my system which has been haunting us for the past couple of years. Other companies have told me on several occasions that it's time for a new system to be installed and quoted me over $10k. When the Cool Doctor came out, he was very honest and said that my system is mechanically sound and should not be replaced until something major happens. I love the fact that he did not upsell me on getting a new system when adding a bit of refrigerant each year is sufficient until we have major issues or can afford the whole new system. Needless to say, the Cool Doctor will be putting in a new system for me when the time comes!

    Kevin is great! He came out to troubleshoot our AC, and he took the time to explain everything thoroughly and didn't try to upsell or scare us into costly replacements like a few others had. All his repairs which were reasonably priced worked like a charm. He is clearly an honest knowledgeable technician and will be our go-to guy for AC from now on!

    I called, and got Emily on the phone immediately, she was very cordial and efficient. She had Lynn out for an estimate as soon as possible and I felt it as reasonable and fair. The installation was scheduled within a few days, everyone was professional and skilled in what they did and I would definitely recommend Air Central to my friends and family.

    I highly recommend this company! Our AC unit went completely dead and (of course) the weather was sunny and in the 90���s. Our house was sweltering. We called American Air at 5:30 pm and the service person was there that night! He realized we needed a whole new unit. It was also a Friday night. He brought us a very nice portable unit to use until Monday when our new unit would be installed. They showed up Monday morning and worked in the blazing heat until about 4:00 pm. Because of the age of our units, we went ahead and purchased an AC and furnace as well. Our furnace is in the attic which was probably about 150 degrees up there. The guys were exceptionally professional and polite. Never once complained. They stayed and made sure both units were working properly. We would absolutely use this company again!!!
