AJason Taylor ConstructionHonestly, Jason was excellent. We live out of country and Jason had done many small projects for us prior to the demolition and building of our new deck. He did such an excellent job. We were not able to be present during planning and construction ~ but, Jason kept us updated with images and videos and suggested things we had not thought of during the planning phase. He took his time and is very good with detail and aesthetics. He knows how to get things done. We would hire him to do any project for us. Jason's pricing is very fair and competitive.- D G.

AC & B Electrical ServicesBrian Byars replaced the broken breaker for my dryer. Standard work but oh so important to me and especially because he did it when I was not an existing customer. He answered the phone at 7 a.m. on the day after Thanksgiving when I called because I did not know the company was closed for a long weekend and most of the staff was out of town. He was at my house two hours later and less than 30 minutes after that I once again had a working dryer! I had not had one since Monday evening and my usual electrician didn't bother to show up at the appointed time (and I haven't heard from him since) and another electrician said he would be here Wednesday evening but got tied up and blew me off. Brian, on the other hand, went out of his way to help me and I'll definitely call C&B in the future.- Mari L.

AMr. MaintenanceHad lost the remote to our ceiling fan, needed it rewired to the second switch so we could use the fan again. He was on time and had a folding scaffolding to work safely. Most impressive, however, was how he neatly laid out the parts of the fan as he disassembled them to get to the wiring. That level of extra care is hard to find. FThey set appointment a week in advance and never showed up. Did not call to confirm appointment or do any follow up. Not quite sure what happened. Took off from work to meet them and when they were no show called local number but message on machine was not working properly. Angies list has no phone number to call that I could find to sort it out with them. (Angies List). Will try other ways to get quote without using Angies list.

Welcome to Charleston Electric, the electrician that specializes in residential wiring and generators. We are electrical contractors that serve the Charleston, Ladson, Summerville and Goose Creek, South Carolina areas.
Recent Review:
CNot well overall. Electricians seemed technically quite capable, but had to have them back after initial work because 2 circuits were not working (but which they did correct). A few weeks later on the first occurrence of a Dominion Energy power failure, the Generac generator did not kick in -- upon checking it myself, I found that it had been left in the OFF state by their service men on the second visit to repair the two non-working circuits. They did not return my phone call on this matter, but rather sent me two days later an "Appointment Reminder" e-mail without having contacted me to have made the appointment in the first place. I called them and expressed my displeasure, but agreed to the "scheduled" appointment that afternoon between 2pm and 4pm. In the meantime, I ran some errands and came home to discover that a power failure had occurred while I was out -- and that again the Generac generator had not kicked in. I waited all afternoon for their service person to arrive, but they never showed up. At 4:30 pm, I called them and learned that they had sent out a service man during the time I had been gone (without my knowledge or approval) and that they had never bothered to let me know that no one would be coming during the 2pm to 4pm scheduled appointment. Obviously, they do not consider treating a customer with any courtesy. I asked to have the service man who had come while I was not at home to phone me, especially to explain whether or not he had cause that particular power failure; no one ever returned my call. I was also displeased there was no paperwork done following any of their three service calls. I wrote a letter describing all this to Charleston Electric's management. I have had no response from this company's management. This shows me that the discourtesy shown me really originates from the company's management. Since it was not clear to me that the Generac generator was in working order following the third service call done while I was out (after all, there had been an unexplained power failure), I hired someone from another company to come and check it out. I give them a C overall only because their technicians do seem quite capable. I believe the company is just poorly managed.

ALouie provided a couple options repairing versus replacing, and although I spent more money than expected going in to the situation, it ended up being the correct decision. Louie & his crew were professional & provided a very high quality of work, which was also completed on time. I recommend Alliance any chance that I get, both Professionally & Personally due to their high level of service & quality of work.

AI had four electrical outlets that were not working. I scheduled an appointment with Tony from Trident Electric. He called me about an hour before my appointment to see if I was available so he could come early. I was, so he came right over. He immediately got to work troubleshooting my electrical problem. It was a complicated problem, because there was a disconnected or broken wire somewhere in the wall. However, he was able to fix the problem, and all of my electrical outlets are now working. Tony cleaned up after himself, and he is very courteous and knowledgeable. And this was all done for a very reasonable price! I will definitely call Trident Electric again for any electrical problems.
