    NANCE REMODELING
Do not hire this company! We hired them to add a sunroom on to our house. Steve Nance sent out this guy named Jeff Maloof. Jeff claims to have owned his own companies up north and has built homes before along with other skills. Our project started off ok. It didn't take him long to tear off our existing deck, but once he built the new deck it was not level. My husband pointed it out to him and he acted like he didn't even notice. Jeff claimed that it will all "even out" once they put weight on it. Now, we are not contractors by any means, but that just didn't seem like it made much sense. After a lot of back and forth, he finally did his best at "fixing" it. We should have fired him from this point, but unfortunately we gave him the benefit of the doubt and kept paying him for his horrible work. He then went on to add decking boards and when we got off work saw that he had screwed them in, but most of them missed the board underneath, were uneven and he even skipped some boards! We called him out on it and he claims it was the guy he brought over to do the work (who happens to also be one of the roofers for Nance roofing). He still never fixed these screws...but I have so much more to tell about this project I must move on. The second phase of this project was the frame. He couldn't even do this right. Every single board he put up was not level or even which means when its time to put up any siding, it won't go up even. During this entire project he never showed up when he said he was going to come, when he did come he was dropped off and never brought his own vehicle, claimed it was "in the shop." One day he was dropped off and worked for maybe 1 hour, then sat in my backyard for 4 hours, smoking cigarettes, drinking my waters (never brought his own drinks with him), asks to use my bathroom and even asked for my wifi password!!! I called his boss Steven Nance and told him what was going on and the only response we got from him was "oh, I see". We complained numerous times to Steve about Jeff and he never did anything or gave us any reassurance that this would change. Last phase was the roof. Now, Nance Roofing has been around a long time according to the website. Well I can tell you that they couldn't even get the roof correct on this project. We have since had another contractor come in and we have had to basically tear down everything to build this the right way. Jeff cut corners on EVERYTHING he touched. He didn't even nail in all of the shingles, we put decking boards on the roof and not all theses were even screwed in. The screws he used were not even long enough come to find out. Maybe 1/4 inch of the screw was even keeping the roof on. On another note, when he did show up to work, half the time never even brought all the materials he needed. This has been such a nightmare for us. Please please please do not hire this company for any of your remodeling or roofing needs. Horrible customer service and horrible workmanship.

He does a great job. He does remodeling and builds additions. He has done additions for our neighbors and they are very happy. He's just a nice guy and does wonderful work. He is polite, courteous, and always shows up on time.

ARNOLD (SKIP) WAS PROMPT, EFFICIENT, ORGANIZED AND WAS REASONABLY PRICED. (WE HAD 2 OTHER ESTIMATES THAT WERE $8000 - 10,000 HIGHER. EVERYTHING WENT EXTREMELY WELL AND WE WERE COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH HIS WORK. WE WOULD USE HIM AGAIN AND AGAIN! WE HAVE REFERRED HIM TO NEIGHBORS AND THEY WERE VERY PLEASED ALSO.

From the earliest planning stages Skip was very easy to work with. He quickly grasped what we wanted and offered suggestions that we had not considered. The contractors Skip used for the foundation work and framing worked efficiently and professionally. They were always on time and never played music while they worked. Skip was always there keeping an eye to make sure they completed the work to his specifications. Skip completed the interior work himself. This is when we were able to witness his craftsmanship. We were very pleased with the quality of his work. He excels at the finer details. His trim-work and crown molding is flawless. We ended up having him trim and paint the entire house.
