    AutoTechs Of Lowcountry LLC

It is typically a daunting task to find an auto mechanic when you are new to an area.  Auto Techs had strong reviews on Angie's List.  It turns out they have outstanding customer service.  The shop is extremely clean and efficient.  You could eat off of the lobby floor, definitely not the norm for an auto shop.  Rodger, Stephen, and Michael are a father and his two sons.  I told them what I needed done and they gave me an estimate of $184, which I thought was reasonable.  The job ended up costing $50 less.  I love it when a provider doesn't underestimate the cost and try to hit you up for more when the work is done.  These guys did just the opposite.  The owner was a 25 year mechanic for Mercedes Benz and knows his stuff.  Auto Techs are so customer service oriented that when I was leaving I remembered I forgot to get a few of their cards to refer them to others.  When they saw me coming back toward the shop, both Stephen and Michael came out the front door to ask if anything was wrong.  I won't hesitate to go back in the future.

    Goodyear Auto Service Center
Made an appointment for 9:00 AM, showed up 10 minutes early.  I had advised I was on a very tight schedule and only had 90 minutes to have the work done due to another appointment.
One hour to change the oil.
Excuses about the alignment bay being busy, finally got the car on the machine, confirmed that I needed an alignment.  They said 15 minutes tops to do the work.  I told them I was already beyond my time limit, but 15 minutes I could live with.  Twenty minutes later, no work done.  I demanded my car and said I would take it elsewhere, I couldn't wait any longer.  The manager kept arguing with me, telling me to calm down, stop getting hyper, all the while the mechanic is frantically working on the car.  I finally got the car back, paid the bill and left.  45 minutes late.
I have used this dealer for 7 years, but the manager and his team have ruined my relations with them.  They are not dependable any longer, take twice as long as necessary, their work is often sloppy, bills inaccurate and work not finished.
I will no longer use this dealership and will no longer recommend them for work.

    Affordable Auto Repair
The service was fine.  They were a lot cheaper than the dealer.  It took one day for them to fix it.  Very nice family operation.  The staff is friendly.  I would highly recommend them.

I had stopped by to look at a car and a salesman took me 'around the block' to try it out. I wanted to try it longer than that. They generously loaned me one for as long as I needed it while they did an oil change and tried to find out what is causing a noise-- It cost me $20 in gas plus the cost of the oil change. I drove the car all over town, tried it in my garage, parked on the street and went grocery shoping. Very personable and nice guys in both service and in the new/used car dept. I couldn't have been more pleased.
ps. decided not to buy a car at this time but when I do, I have David's card!

Exceptional. I cannot recommend this business more highly. Anyone reading this review should consider All Pro. The price was just a bit better than the lowest price I had gotten to that point in my search and better than any I'd seen. The service was exceptional. This appears to be a family business, and it is run with care and concern. jw

    New River Auto Mall
They greeted me promptly. Changed the oil in my car, changed the battery in my key fob, and washed my car before they returned it to me. They were courteous and helpful, without pressuring me. The mechanic also noticed my tires needed changed and offered me quotes and gave me a timeline for when the work should be done. They were very helpful.

They listened to my story and answered all my questions. Completed the repairs promptly and completely while I waited. And without an appointment. I have often requested service and they have only found minor issues. INthese situations they did not charge, even though they spent considerable time researching the aledged problem. They have always been very helpful and concerned about my problems. I have great co nfidence in them and appreciate there service.

Jeff is a very knowledgeable in diagnosing what need to be done, and especially what doesn't need to be done. The mechanics are very good and thorough. Morris Garage is a no nonsense auto repair company that will treat you right all the time.

    Grainger Honda
We were very fortunate to happen upon a superb sales rep (be sure to read end of this review for his name) at the front door of GRAINGER HONDA, but the back office staff were sloppy and insulting, and the service department was in our limited experience simply awful.
    Here's our experience:
Our final stop after negotiating price and options on a new Honda Fit was the financing office, where we were immediately given the hard sell for an extended warranty - no, no, no thanks, and where we signed the necessary forms - as instructed by the financial guy and as indicated by his notations. Days later, we received a call from the same financial fellow, very anxious, to let us know that a necessary signature had been overlooked. As he put it, accent omitted, and quot;I don't know if it was your fault or mine.and quot; What? Of course it was his fault; it was his job to make sure all was in order before we left his Grainger office. So we had to drive back to the dealership, out of town, to sign the form. Ok. It's a very nice little car.
Within days of our picking up the Honda Fit, we were driving to Charleston when a large section of the dashboard fell out of place and onto my wife's feet. Whoa! It seems that one of the service people had not properly re-installed the piece after failing to correctly install the optional interior lights. Pointedly kidding, I told the Honda US rep who telephoned us days later to poll our purchase experience, that such a flawed simple service installation made me worry about the engine - will it next fall out? Well, not to worry, since we'll be taking the car to a different Honda dealership for future service and maintenance. Ok. It's a very nice little car.
    Now the really good bit:
The sales rep we worked with was superb: Smart. Responsive. Responsible. He represented himself, he represented Grainger Honda and he represented our purchase interests with complete professionalism. He was a pleasure to deal with, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fair deal well made. The name of the sales rep is BILL LEVITT. Ask for him by name. He made our purchase remarkably pleasant and productive. And it's a very nice little car. But after you leave the desk of Bill Levitt, be sure to check the forms yourself before you leave, and go somewhere else for the service.

    Southern Automotive
Because my car has a lot of modifications, I was concerned that the replacement was going to be a real hassle. On the contrary, I found everything to be smooth and efficient.
I was greeted warmly by Kathy in the front office( she's a sweet Southern lady) . She took my information (this was my first visit) and turned my Nissan over to Butch. He seems to have a good handle on all things automotive. Being new to the Bluffton area , I was concerned about finding a good independent service garage. My mind is at ease now.
Since that first time, I have returned with another car with some bolts that were stuck. He made short work of my problem and sent me on my charge this time. That's always a welcome surprise.
    Bottom line.......highly recommended.
