    Palmetto Dental Associates have excellent hygienists. Their office is nice and there is a short wait time. Their office staff is very pleasant and helpful. You're seen within 15 minutes, at the most, of your appointment time.

    I have been going there for 7 years. They always given me excellent service. The girls in the office are terrific. My previous Doctor has left recently, the new doctor is brand new and I have no comments for him. Dr Dickson is retired doctor but practicing. I will be going to have my teeth cleaned by Tina.

    I would also like to let you know that I love Angie's list and use it often for referencing company's, when I need. So thank you for providing the service.

    I got in very quickly. The staff was friendly. He saw us right away. The doctor could not be any nicer. The staff was good. We've got a little bit of an issue on the billing but they got it fixed. They were good as far as getting me in.

    I like Dr Dickson but I think his prices are a little high. I don't know that, I just feel like every time I go for a cleaning the price goes up, and I'm not fond of that. I don't like dentists in general, so I don't think any dentist would get an A from me.

    I am a retired dental hygienist. Finding a dentist who worked in the perimeters that I was comfortable was very important.When entering the waiting room you might not be impressed. What is more important is the staff is very friendly and considerate. and as I entered the operatory I was most favorably impressed with the state of the art equipment. It was being used to facilitate thier diagnosis and educate the patient. Dr. Dickson is particailly retired and I am willing to work with his working hours. Recently my daughter was visiting from Belgium and needed some dental work. Dr. Dickson and his staff worked to accomodate her during her visit. On another occasion my husband was experiencing thermal discomfort and wanted it checked out. An x-ray determined that there was no treatment needed at that time. Non of us have dental insurance and from experiences in NC and PA I feel that the fees were resonable. The office is one that educated the patients to the available treatments and then proceeds with the patients informed wish. Our family is very pleased with this office.

    He reminds my husband and me most of the dentist that we had in Maine for 21 years, He is kind of like a good country, down-to-earth dentist. He has new equipment but is not carried away with all of the very latest technology. He gives good, honest, reasonable priced work. They miss some things on the billing and administration side, but overall I give them top marks. I will use them again in the future

    My real problem with Dr. Riley revolved around the fact that I had been in an auto accident in May of 2008 and the car I was riding in had been rear ended. The accident resulted in several chipped teeth and some deep cracking in the lower left side of my mouth. The responsible drivers insurance company was Nationwide Insurance. Nationwide was more than fair, They took care of everything and agreed to cover the cost of getting the dental work done. I explained the situation to Dr. Riley and requested that he provide Nationwide with an estimate of what the repair work would cost. Please note here that I did not retain the services of an attorney and that I did not take Nationwide to court. There were no legal papers to fill in. Nationwide only wanted an estimate of the amount needed to repair the damage. Dr. Riley refused to deal with Nationwide and stated that he could not get involved in any type litigation. After conveying this information to Dr. Riley and his office manager on several occasions, I was still not able to get his assistance with my problem. After approximately a year, Nationwide asked if they could pay me the cost of having a crown put on the tooth with the most damage and I agreed. I am no longer a patient of Dr. Riley and I did notice that during the time I was under his care, the problems that got attention were the ones that cost the most, not necessarily the problems that need the most attention. Case in point is the tooth that he decided needed a crown. The molar has no opposing tooth and was not a problem.

    He is very thorough, takes time to explain things to you and if you don't understand he'll explain it again. He is very gentle. The office is up to date and so is the equipment they use. The staff is polite, nice, friendly, and helpful.
