    Titan Lock and Key
Titan was recommended by a friend whom had the same service performed; with the exception of having a few door knobs replaced. I was very pleased with the rate I was quoted since the total charged for him rekeying 4 entry doors was what I was quoted per door by another company. The tech was prompt, professional and helpful by correcting a previous lock issue to one of my doors. I would definitely utilize his services again.

    EAST COOPER LOCK AND SAFE
I called on Monday and scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 3pm. I was told the locksmith would call when he was on the way. I received a call after 3:30pm letting me know he was on the way and would be at my home in 35 minutes. I received another call from the locksmith at 4:40pm letting me know he was stuck in traffic on I-526. I let him know my children had an event and I would be leaving in an hour. I also asked him why he didn't call me earlier. He asked my schedule for the next day and I told him I was not available as we have prior commitments. I asked for his supervisor's number and he provided. I called the supervisor and asked why no one called me and he told me it was the locksmith's responsibility to do so. I explained that their lack of customer service now left me in a bind with a broken front door lock all weekend. He also offered to come out on Friday and I told him that wasn't possible. After some back and forth he told me to call someone else.

    RESCUE LOCKSMITH SERVICES LLC
I lost the key to the garage door which is no longer an automatic door. Other doors to the home could not be opened due to humidity issues. The door which worked that morning would not open that afternoon. These are other issues due to clay soil and time of year. I called Rescue Locksmith Services and they were at the house within about an hour. The lock could not be re-keyed so it was replaced. I was able to enter the house through the entrance door from the garage because I could now get into the garage.

    Steve's Lock Shop

John was able to remove the cylinder and make a new key which at first still would not turn in the cylinder. He decided I would need a new cylinder which he would re-key, so I drove over to the Saturn dealer to pick one up for $98. However, while I was at the dealer, John called and let me know that he had been able to modify the existing cylinder. I returned and sure enough the key cylinder was back in the car and the steering wheel was now unlocked. Thanks to John expertise and persistence, I saved $98.

I would definitely use Steve's Lock Shop again and would highly recommend them to everyone else.

    EAST COOPER LOCK AND SAFE
Based on the recommendation from Lowes, and based on the favorable reviews here on Angie's List, I recommended East Cooper Lock & Safe to re-key a recently purchased home for my friend Gale. Five(5) doors, keyed dead-bolts, all different keys!  Poor kid was lost!
As the locksmith explained to Gale, the price per re-keying was $12, but because she had so many, she was given the rate of $10 per lock.  Cool!  The locksmith then suggested that several of the locks ought to be swapped out for new ones (for security reasons) at some point in the near future.  The locksmith compared the $10 re-key cost to the cost of the new lock ($17-21).  Because of this, Gale opted to purchase 4 new locks and have the remainder re-keyed.  Saving money, increased security, why not?
At the end of the visit, she gave the locksmith her credit card for the work performed.  Two days later, she was emailed the receipt.  This is where the rub starts.  There was ALSO an installation charge for each of the new locks on the receipt.  This had never been mentioned by the locksmith, so the comparison he gave her was really not, so to say, "apples to apples".  She immediately called the office of East Cooper Lock & Safe, and was told that she should have noticed that an installation fee was on the sheet.  What sheet?  The locksmith had never shown a "sheet" with all the charges.  Being rather argumentative, the office provided that there is always an installation charge.
Gale now wonders if 4 locks needed changing, as she was deceived about the fees.  At a minimum, she was deceived by the locksmith not disclosing the full costs up front.  East Cooper Lock & Safe may have a good reputation, but this time they did not live up to expectations.  Yes, buyer beware.  But, this is not the way we treat new comers to the low country!

    RESCUE LOCKSMITH SERVICES LLC
I locked myself out of the house right before dinnertime. I called rescue locksmith services, and they came out to my home right away. In about 5 minutes, they had opened my front door for me, and I could carry on with my evening.

    MARTIN LOCK & KEY
The job was completed in a very timely manner. We called in the morning, made an afternoon appointment for the locksmith to come to our house. He was on time, worked very efficiently and the work was completed (all 3 locks) in about one hour. The cost was the same as quoted over the phone. I highly recommend them.

    Steve's Lock Shop
Steve was an angel! He arrived within 10 minutes of my phone calls and was able to gain access to my car when 5 other locksmiths could not. He didn't even charge me since he couldn't get my doors open. I haven't experienced such a great level of customer service in quite some time.

    Steve's Lock Shop
I called Steve's Lock Shop in the late morning on 6-28-10. I received an estimate of cost over the phone in minutes. We were wanting 5 locks rekeyed and 6 new keys made. A technician arrived around 2:30 pm, the same day as promised in the time window of between 2pm and 3:30 pm. The technician called while enroute to our home, and arrived right on time. He was very professional and friendly. He took apart the locks just enough to do his work properly and much of the work was done in the back of his van with little bother to us. He completed his work in about 30 minutes and checked to make sure all the new keys worked as well before leaving. This company does not take personal checks, but does accept most major credit cards. The final cost was $112 just as stated in the phone estimate. I would very much recommend this company and would use them again if needed.
