I think the company itself was good the projects manager that worked on our home was pretty terrible and has since been fired and there were a lot of mistakes and things that were made that had to be fixed and touched up once we had already moved in, they were five weeks late in finishing the house.

The contractor Clint Ortega, showed up the first week every day, getting stuff done. After that he was coming every other day for just a couple of hours and then just stopped showing up. All it was, was drywall work with the addition of a couple doors. We texted him every two days to find out if and when he was coming as we have a 2 year old that takes naps and every time a vehicle pulls up our dog will start barking. So, it was important for us to know when he was coming so we could put our dog out. After three weeks, he finally answered but in a rude, unethical and unprofessional tone accusing us of blowing up his phone and using that as justification not to call us back. He ignores clients that text him. We both signed a contract with a completion date of 17 July 2016. It is 16 August. The job is far from over, AND we have to hire another contractor to fix a lot of mistakes that were made including holes in the drywall and the doors being installed wrong. We have prepaid him for services that he has not yet rendered and he pretty much took the money and ran. Do not trust this company, I encourage you. He'll do stuff for a couple of weeks to get pictures on his facebook page, but then he wont show up anymore. Don't believe me? How many pictures on the page are completed projects? Just a thought. He has money from us that we'll never get back which is frustrating because we have child that needs food, clothes and diapers and we don't have a lot of money as it is. I just don't want people falling in the same trap we did. Good Luck

Workmen were on time and worked hard to do beautiful work. All debris was removed and attention was paid to detail. Workers were polite and Stewart Sparks and partner were super attentive to our wishes.

Our house is old and nothing is as it should be. We had purchased oak treads and risers prior to this work. The stairs were covered with carpeting to hide all the many flaws. I was very concerned that once we put the oak treads on it wouldn't look very well due to all the flaws from an old house. This job was a big challenge due to the top stair riser was uneven compared to all the rest of the risers and it was slanted. Plus to the closet/hall behind the stairs and the lower ceiling it was definitely complicated. The contractor was very knowledgable of building codes (when it was built and now) gave us options and suggestions. For example, he gave us the pros and cons to painting the risers white vs. same color as the oak treads. He was on time, had a very perfectionist level of workmanship and cleaned up. It turned out beautiful. We are very happy with the work and how nice they turned out. We would definitely recommend this contractor for any additional work.

The quote was okay but we didn’t use them. They were very professional and good. They were just too expensive for us and quoted $115,000. They were fabulous and the guys who came out were good. They had great reviews too and we would probably engage them in the future.

Poor quality. False promises. Pointed out many quality issues days and months before closing. Nothing was fixed. Promised blinds, fence and fridge. Only got the fridge which I pointed out three weeks before closing that it was leaking. I have lived in the home almost a month and the fridge is still broken, there is still dried paint in the carpet, on windows and on the wood floor. Upstairs floors creek and pop. Toilet is tilted. plumbers failed to show up on time to fix it. When plumbers finally came to fix it they gouged the wood floor. Builder claims toilet and floor can't be fixed. I have to use my vacation time for these half hearted fixes and the builder doesn't seem to care. It is one thing after the other and I am out of vacation time. Needless to say, I should have bought a resale home, it would have been cheaper and I could have afforded to make fixes at my convenience.

Eddie is very organized, sends daily updates with email/text along with any necessary pictures. Everything is explained and his prices are the best in the area.
He did a huge job for me several years ago, approx $30K, and finished ahead of time, as he seems to with all the jobs.
He stands by his work and follow up is excellent.
I am getting another quote for a job right now and he is who I always ask first and if he doesn't handle what I need done, he gets me in the right direction to someone he trusts.

    Superior Windows & Roofing LLC
I first encountered these guys when Adam, one of their employees, was going door-to-door in our neighborhood. They were replacing a roof due to some hail damage a couple of streets over and he was offering to check out our roof to see if we had any damage. He found some, and offered to contact our insurance company (Auto Owners) to schedule an adjuster to come out and look at it.

Now, I know what you're thinking...door-to-door? I've definitely been hit up in the past by door-to-door auto windshield replacement guys (among others) who turned out to be scams after I checked them out. So I came here, and they didn't have a review. There weren't any reviews available elsewhere online either. Adam's a pretty young guy, but he was very professional and seemed to have his head on straight.  I figured at least having the adjuster come by couldn't hurt, so I went ahead and contacted him. Adam met the adjuster at my house and they went over the roof. The adjuster gave us an estimate just over $10,000 for total replacement, and our wind and hail deductible was $1000. We went ahead and filed the claim and received our check for the actual value ($6,000 and change) the next week.

At this point, we had a decision to make. Do we go with Adam and Superior Roofing, since they came to us first, or do we look for someone else on Angie's List? After having some communications/scheduling issues with another contractor, I decided to give Superior a shot and contacted Adam, who put me in touch with Frank Crump, their sales manager.

After a couple of scheduling hiccups on my end (flu strikes the house!) we finally got to meet with Frank. He was very courteous and professional. I expressed my general misgivings about hiring someone who didn't have a lot of reviews out there and he explained that while he and some of the other guys have been working in the area doing roofing for over 10 years, their current company is only about a year and a half old. Frank's a local guy (he went to elementary and high school just up the street from where I grew up, which coincidentally is the same neighborhood I live in now), so I was willing to give him a chance. His company had also replaced Warren Peper's roof (Warren's a local news celebrity) and he gave them a glowing review.

Frank was able to give us the roof mentioned above in the "Description of Work" section for the same price as a 3-tab shingle replacement roof. We met on a Monday, and he scheduled our roof replacement for that Wednesday, advising us that they would be there pretty early (around 7:30 - 8 AM) to drop off the shingles, and that it would take about a day and a half. This was the only hiccup in the whole process - the shingles didn't arrive until 10 AM (but they made up for this by working so quickly). The roofing crew was working another job in our neighborhood that day, so they arrived around 1 PM. I had to go to work, but I was pleasantly surprised when Frank called me around 6 PM and said that they were just under an hour away from being completely finished.

My wife had taken a picture of our house before they started, and she got one right after they finished. I was very excited to see our new and beautiful roof! Frank came by the next morning to fill out the certificate of completion, so we could obtain the depreciation money (just over $3000) from our insurance company. He saw some extra plastic scraps still on the roof and had one of his guys come over from another job in the neighborhood to climb up and remove them. I expressed my concern about a piece of siding over my porch roof that looked like it had been pushed up, so he climbed up and verified that it was nailed in place. Looking at the "Before" photo, I confirmed that it in fact had been like that before the job, and I had just never noticed. Frank offered to have a guy come by to spraypaint the silver kickplate under that siding to make it less noticeable.

All in all, I am very pleased and impressed with both the speed and professionalism shown by the folks at Superior Windows and Roofing. My roof looks great, and they made working with my insurance company to get the hail damage covered easy and painless. I still can't believe we got a whole roof replaced for only $1,000 out of pocket. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs, and would definitely give them a call if I ever need any more roof work or need any windows replaced.

NOTE: I will update this review again after we have some serious weather to let you all know how the roof holds up.

UPDATE: Well, the roof has held up great through two severe thunderstorms. Michael from Superior came by with another gentleman and they took care of the aforementioned kickplate. It looks great! They also spray-painted the pipe boots on the roof so they're less noticeable. All in all, a great job at a great value!

    Brace Builders LLC
Brace Builders was prompt and responsive for our request for quote.  They showed up to survey the property and discuss our project exactly when they said they would.  They asked questions that we had not even thought about and were very knowledgeable.  The quote was provided to us within a few days and was very reasonable. Work was commenced in a timely manner.  We had a slight delay because of rain, but they were their the very first morning after the rain stopped to re-commence work.  The workmanship is of a very high quality and the members of the Brace Builders team were friendly and professional.  We will not hesitate to call them in the future or recommend them to friends.

It went excellent.  They called my very promptly, and came out the very next day.  He saved me a lot of money, and would have even completed the job within one day had his partner not have had car trouble.  It was a basic deck, they  also integrated planter boxes for my flowers.  We would definitely use them again.
