    Walmart Pharmacy
    We use them out of convenience. They are pretty decent. You pop in with your prescription and walk back out. Walmart Pharmacy prices are pretty fair. They cater for everyone even if you don't have insurance, they are lean on their prescription prices.

    United Health Care
    Our health insurance provider was changed for year 2013 from Blue Cross/Blue Shield to United Health. The co-pays for physician visits have significantly increased, the deductibles are higher, and the coverage is less.  We are also paying co-pays for laboratory tests that had been 100% covered.  Although it may be the plan selected by the employer that has transferred more of the cost to the employee, one could argue that if United Health offered better coverage plans and eliminated low cost plans, the patient would benefit.
    On a positive note, the few times i spoke with the United Health representatives, they were very helpful.

    It is a great place. The best thing about them is they have an immunologist that is working towards a cure for cancer by tweaking the cells. They are creating a vaccine for breast cancer currently. I have been blown away by the clinic and their practices. They are always ahead of the leading edge. He normalized my diabetes in two weeks and even he couldn't believe the results.

    It is a phenomenal place and they treated us unbelievably. Everything there was really great. We have been to other hospitals in the past and this one was really on the top of their game. They were absolutely great. Everybody, the nurses and the staff, were very pleasant and very good. The food they served was edible. She had to do some physical therapy there before they let her out and everything went really well. I would recommend them.

    They have a brand new facility and have redone everything there. They have an awesome new women's center at the hospital. They provide very good women comfort and their staff is pleasant and on time. It was a good experience from the time I entered the door till the time I was out.

    Trident is an excellent hospital with an excellent staff. My experience was wonderful. They knew exactly how to treat me, and I think that's how I got well so fast. They were really punctual. I would most definitely use them again.

    My back was fractured. I went to see Trident to get an MRI and also had surgery to repair my back. The operation included keroplasty, which did help me out very well. My experience at the hospital was not so pleasant though. The table I was on while receiving the MRI was dropped while I was on it. This was a very painful experience. While I was there, the food was awful. I was sent a "toasted cheese sandwich" which included 2 pieces of bread and a wrapped piece of cheese. For my back, they only found 3 fractured portions of the spine, which actually was 4 fractures. After the back surgery, I was able to walk out. The surgery was a success and my back feels great. I did have to go back to have the 4th fracture repaired because they did miss it during the first surgery.

    The whole group that is all over the Charleston area is excellent. They are very professional, kind and good staff. The quality of care is outstanding and they are open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The office environment is very good and I did not have to wait very long at all to be treated. If necessary I will use them again in the future.

    In March, they gave me some medicine to stop the itching and then sent me to a specialist. From their recommendation I was able to get in March 6. Both visits to HealthFirst were quick and very helpful. I felt much better after leaving.

    Nurses are not well trained. Nurses did not know procedures for doing a bladder scan or accessing medication list from the computer. Trash can not provided for each patient to use. Shower was not usuable due to bed pans and vomit pans stored in tub,therefore the patient had to wash in a bed pan. Stomach medication not available from the hospital, all patients were given probiotics instead of prescribed stomach medication,but I was allowed to have my stomach medication brought in from home. IV cart wheels would not move and I had to drag it with me and I was barely able to breathe. Nursing staff was informed of defective wheel and ignored me. Nurses assistant took 3 hours to bring me a pitcher of ice.. I have bronichal asthma and was in the hospital for penumonia and I cannot drink anything with ice in it or very cold water. I informed the nurses assistant to not bring me any ice as it closes up my broncholia tubes. After three hours she brings me a pitcher of ice. I had to pour it out and get tap water. Then the nurses assistant insisted on turning the air conditioner on colder when I had explained to her why I can't take cold air and she turned it down to 65 degrees and I did not know it and when I got up to use the facilities I couldn't breathe and managed to get the other person in the bed to ring the bell..The othe patients nurse came in and took me by the arm and was trying to drag me to my bed. I guess she was afraid I would pass out and she would have to pick me up. I was given a sleeping pill the first night in the hospital and not offered a sleeping pill the next night. When I couldn't sleep I asked for a sleeping pill and was told by my nurse that it was too bad I had not asked for it when she passed the meds. Nurse was not able to insert a Iv drip correctly and had to keep redoing it. I was discharged and not given predisone to help me breathe and I had to go back to the hospital emergency room to get a prescription for predisone because my doctor did not prescribe it for me. I was not given a plumonary or asthma doctor while I was in the hospital for 3 days. I am retired and on medicare and the hospital billing department called me and told me that I did not have medicare part B and I was responsible for the whole bill. I said,if I don't have part B why am I paying for it and she said I dont know. I called medicare and was told I did have part B and I had medicare advantage and that they would handle the billing not medicare..If you want an elderly person to die of a heart attack just tell them they have this big bill to pay and finish them off. The person working in billing did not have her information correct and apparently did not know what medicare advantage was.
