    Murrells Inlet Veterinary Hospital
Their pricing is so bad. Their pricing is extremely high. Unless it’s an emergency, we always make an appointment to Dr. Valerie. We keep going back to her because of professionalism, knowledge and how she treats us and everything about it. She is just outstanding. If it weren’t for her, given the price, I’d be going somewhere else.

    Groomin the Beach
Stephanie is rude and unprofessional, she is unreliable and difficult to deal with, she is never open consistent hours and will close on a whim.  She will quote you time to pick up your pet and then your pet will not be ready for another 3-4 hours.  We used Groomin the Beach for a year and each time the service and quality of haircut was worse and worse. If you want your pet to come home smelling of cigarette smoke - then chose Groomin the Beach, we will never have our pet groomed there again

I've been a customer for quite a few years.  The quality of service has really gone
down recently.  I can't pinpoint it because I lost my baby, waited a year and
adopted a new baby. I recommended Benji's to friends who were disappointed but I
didn't understand why until recently.  Their prices are relatively high but with
good service, would be worth it and was worth it.  It seems that greed has
    gotten in the way.
The concept of what they are is great;  play yards, on site grooming, cute
hotel-for-dogs theme facility, and most importantly web-cams, insuring
transparency, no secrets, above board care.  The reality is the play yards are
in need of updating/cleaning.  The whole facility is showing its age and in need
of some serious updating.  The grooming is terrible.  I've always had grooming
before pick-up because after days of playing hard, my baby smells like a
dog.  Recently, my baby has still smelled like a dog, when I picked him up.
Giving a dog a good bath is not rocket science.  It takes just as long to give
a bad bath as it does to give a good bath.  Evidently the owner is trying to cut
corners by paying less to uninspired employees.  The crew there used to be
energetic, impressive dog lovers.  Now, they are just employees.  I was a retail
owner for 28 years and I recognize when businesses try to skimp and end up with
employees that reflect negatively on a business.  The fact that they have web
cams says, "I am taking good care of your baby and I want you to see a happy
baby in a good, clean, no-secrets environment.  The fact that they don't work
(as well as a lot of things around there) means just the opposite.  The most
important selling feature that they have, in this hi tech world is the
web-cams.  The staff has excuses from the kind of computer I'm using to them
    having reception/computer problems.
Even though I provided my own food and feeding instructions, my baby was terribly
constipated for 2 days.  If he had actually received his own food, plus the
added exercise, this would not have happened.  I do not believe that he was
receiving his own food.  This last time I took him, he pulled back to the car
the way he does at the vet's office.   Something is not like it used to
I will not return nor recommend to anyone else until I hear that some changes have
been made.  Maybe they aren't interested in locals and want to focus on
tourists, who don't have to be repeat customers.  It's a shame that something
that started out so good has become so bad.  If I wasn't "over-the-hill-retired"
I would open my own.  It's a great concept and eventually someone will come
along and do it the way this one started out.

    MC Neal Veterinary Hospital
They were above satisfactory. They did a fine job on it. They have good rapport with the critters and the people. My interaction with them was definitely good. Their facility seemed fine to me. Their treatment worked out good. Their price is very reasonable, not most reasonable but second most reasonable. I am able to get in there pretty much upon call.

They are absolutely wonderful.  They are very nice.   Dr. Boyd is awesome.  She is a hands on vet.  The staff is unbelievable.  The staff has been there for years.  We don't wait more then ten minutes before being seen.  I have been taking my dogs there for about six years.  They are extremely kind.  They are very compassionate.

    HoundHaven LLC
When we moved to SC we were concerned about who we could trust to take care of our beagle. We have never boarded him at a traditional kennel and hesitated to do so here as well. Fortunately we learned about Hound Haven on Angie's List. We visited Vivian first so she could meet Bailey and we could meet her and her beagles, Suzie and Shiloh. Vivian is a very experienced dog care provider and she has had beagles all her life. This made us especially comfortable with her. Our beagle has stayed at Hound Haven for both day care and overnight care and it has gone perfectly. Vivian sends us text messages with photos, lets him sleep on the patio furniture, covers him with blankets and showers him with all the pampering that we do at home! We are SO happy and relieved to have found Hound Haven!

Our dog was boarded there from Sunday until late afternoon on Thursday. Our dog has congestive heart failure and needs several medications. All medicine was given as directed. Our dog is 12 years olf and was housed with animals of similar age and similar medical issues. When we arrived at the facility our dog got out of the car and ran to the door. Good sign for us. One of the caregivers came immediately to get him and she knew him by name and he was very happy to see her. Great experience and would definitely used them again.

Even though I gave her two pictures of the cut we wanted for our dog, she scalped him! It will take months for his coat to grow back. She never said she could not do the cut in the pictures (my dog is a bichon) she just said she didn't usually do "fluffy" dogs. His is absolutely scalped - she only used clippers and no scissors. If you have a dog that doesn't need a  cut she may be okay, but she is certainly not a professional dog groomer by any standard.

Prior to hiring this provider, we Interviewed the provided to ensure the provider was a good fit for us and for our pets. The provider spent a good deal of time with us, taking notes and investigating our needs. After the interview, we decided this provider was able to meet our needs and at a reasonable price. She was knowledgeable of the area and with Vets that could provide emergency care should the need arise.
    Dates of service: 8/30/13 - 9/1/13
About 4 days prior to trip, I contacted the provider to ensure we were still on her calendar and to go over a few more details.
We requested a total of 5 (five) visits over 2.5 days; one morning and one evening visit per day. The provider was to clean the litter boxes, provide the cats with clean water, and food. She was instructed to wash the "wet" food bowls at each visit. The provider was asked to take a "nose" count each day to ensure all cats were ok.
This provider was thorough and left our home tidy. Without asking, she brought in our mail. From my observations, this provider met our needs doing everything we had requested. I am a stickler on the cleanliness of the cats' litter boxes - this provider did an excellent job keeping the boxes clean! She also kept the food bowls clean.
I would use this provider again and would recommend this provider to other cat owners needing an in-home sitter.

everybody at the hospital was fantastic. Dr. Kiningham did a fantastic job with my dog. My dog is typically afraid of men that she does not know but he was very patient and kind and My dog did great with him. All of the technicians were fabulous. I would recommend them to anybody with a pet.
