    Bark Busters Home Dog Training
    Guinness is a lovable pit-bull lab mix that I rescued but would pull aggressively when on leash and while he is friendly, he would bark and pull towards the other dog on our path. I needed help trying to correct this behavior since Charleston is a very dog friendly place. Since beginning our training, his attitude has improved! He actually listens to me when I give commands and it has mostly helped me in those situations of how to react. Bark Busters has been a marvelous help and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Pooch Palace
    My dog, Red, really loved going to Pooch Palace and always came back tired and happy. I travel a lot with Red but Charleston is my home and I brought Red here at least weekly when I was in town. In my travels I haven't really found another facility that provides what Pooch Palace does, which is why what happened to Red and the way Pooch Palace and, in particular, it's owner, Jeff Sutton, handled the following situation is incredibly disappointing. Right before Thanksgiving I got a call around 3:30pm from Katie at Pooch Palace to let me know they were taking Red to the emergency vet because his leg was sliced open by something at their facility. She was incredibly apologetic and said they didn't know how it happened. She stated there wasn't a fight and they were going to go through all the video footage to find out what injured my dog. She also told me that I wouldn't have to worry about anything and that Pooch Palace would cover the cost of Red's medical treatment. I met Red and one of the employees from Pooch Palace at the vet. Again, she was incredibly apologetic and I asked her about Pooch Palace covering payment and she told me that they were going to cover it and her manager told her to call the office before she left so she could give the vet the Pooch Palace credit card information. This information was never provided to the vet. Red was at the vet for the next 8 hours before I could take him home. Fast forward a month and the week before Christmas I received a call from Jeff Sutton, the owner of Pooch Palace, and he told me he will not cover the $950 bill and that his employees never told me Pooch Palace would cover the bill. He said maybe they said Pooch Palace would work with me to cover the cost. That is not what they said. He said Pooch Palace would cover $200 because that's what's in their contract. I'm not going to dispute the contract. But, I was given verbal confirmation and agreement by two different representatives from Pooch Palace that Pooch Palace would cover all the cost and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Additionally, my dog didn't fall ill and wasn't in a fight with another dog. Something at their facility sliced my dog's leg open. They did tell me that they still don't know how it happened or what caused it and that several of their security cameras were broken. I can't imagine if my dog were smaller or if he had been sliced open on his stomach. The cut was so clean that the vet said it looked like Red was sliced with a razor blade. It is now the end of February and Jeff still hasn't paid the bill. The vet office (who have been fantastic through this whole ordeal) and I have both contacted Pooch Palace multiple times to inquire about payment and Jeff will not take or return any of our calls. I waited to write this review because I was hoping Pooch Palace would honor their word and pay the bill. But the vet's office is ready to send the bill to collections. $950 is a small expense for a successful business, especially one that just won "Best of Mt. Pleasant" and touts "safety first" on the front page of their website. I even suggested Jeff submit the claim to his liability insurance, which he refuses to do. Even after Red was injured by something at Pooch Palace, and before I received that call from the owner, I was ready to bring Red back there and board him over Christmas. I had even put down a deposit to hold a spot for him over the holiday but their inability to keep their word and do the right thing, means they lost, what would have been, a life long customer. I will never recommend Pooch Palace to anyone.

    They were accommodating for my appointment time restrictions and they were able to book me the day before for an appointment. They were very sweet to the animals and kind to the humans as well. They listened to my concerns and made every attempt to keep my cats calm. With a recent move to the area they determined that one of the cats probably has some anxiety which is causing the bumps around his mouth while the other has feline acne which could be caused by stress or by another source. They gave them both a check up as best they could under the circumstances (My cats hate being handled at the vet and the weight scale) and provided an antibiotic shot for the feline acne. They plan to follow up with a call in a week.

    The Wag Factor
    Sarah has always been a huge help in times of need. Not only is she great in a crunch, she is a perfect fit to take care of my dog. My pup loves her and I never have to worry when Sarah is coming to do walks and sits. She's always prompt and gives my pup all the attention she needs, plus she gives great updates as to how she is doing etc. I wouldn't recommend anyone else! Her and her staff are great!

    Bark Busters Home Dog Training
    James was extremely helpful with guiding us on how to train our 1.5 year old pup, Huey. We came to James with issues of barking, jumping, digging, pulling on the leash, not coming when called, and overall not listening to us. James was extremely patient and met us where we were with our understanding of our dog's behaviors and the changes we wanted to see. I spent a lot of time researching various trainers and I am so happy I chose Bark Busters. We were at a loss on what to do with our dog because he was running the show in our home and causing a lot of stress and frustration for us. James took the time to explain where the behaviors were likely stemming from and guided us step by step on how to become the leader of the household with very practical steps. We were amazed by the effectiveness of the training from day 1. Although Huey would continue to show some behavioral issues and introduce some new ones along the way, James was very responsive to making sure we felt supported in tackling those issues and made sure those issues were addressed. We feel like Huey has grown so much in such a short amount of time and we couldn't have done it without James and all of his knowledge, support and patience. I would highly recommend Bark Busters to anyone who is looking to train or re-train their dog.

    Sarah and her team at the Wag Factor provide excellent service and care to my two elderly pups on their daily afternoon walk. The Wag Factor team is reliable, punctual, patient, caring, responsible, respectful and extremely trustworthy. My furbabies are treated as well as I treat them by every member of the team! I would highly recommend the Wag Factor team to anyone.

    Kristin has an amazing compassion for dogs. Our Molly was a blind Labrador retriever. Kristin would bring the grinder out to the front lobby so Molly didn't have to walk too far. Kristin was so kind and gentle with our girl. Even when we moved to the other side of Mt. Pleasant, we still continued to drive to Ziggy,s to get the great care!!!! We will be back with our newest lab rescue .

    We are very happy with the care they were given, the staff is wonderful. I was very anxious over the three week stay and contacted them during the second week by sending a message on their Facebook page. They responded right away and even posted a picture of my boys. We left food, treats and special toys and bedding. The little guy has a momma doll he cuddles. They were given their meds as needed and even stayed with them during a thunderstorm, our older dog gets spooked by thunder and heavy rain. They had play time and were given baths before pick up. They came home healthy, happy and with all the toys. The staff knows them and greets them warmly at drop off. They take the time to listen to special instructions and are happy to answer questions while the pets are in their care.

    I signed a contract with them where they do regular care for a given amount of dollars a year. If I need something more, there's an additional fee but I get discounts there. I have two dogs. I like their service. You don't get the personal contact you get with the regular vet where you get to know them because you might get a different person each time, but at least you get the care you need at a discount and it's not that costly. They're good at what they do. You don't have to wait too long. I don't have much to compare them to. The workers were good and polite.

    This is a wonderful place to visit and bring all your friends and family too. Especially, out of town guests. I learned so much here. It was all fascinating and the flight demonstrations will take your breath away. I can not praise it highly enough. The staff are very knowledgeable and you can see that they love their work. Put this on your must see list.
