    I've  been very pleased with what they do for me. They told me that my tires were beginning to dry rot a little bit which is understandable because my car has been sitting out in the driveway and not driven, the one that I took too long to service. They're really good, proactive automobile service.

    We're always very happy with them. They seem very fair, don't try to sell anything that you don't need. I take it there for one thing and they do that. If they find something else, they'll do what they know but a lot brought to the dealers when I've had experience with, they always try to sell you much more than what you take it in for. Unlike dealers, they don't intend to do that, so that's one of the reasons I like them. They are not the cheapest but they do really good work.

    REIDVILLE ROAD AUTO SERVICE
    Reidville Road Auto is very good and honest. The work took 2 days due to the tires...they outsource down the street. We have used them for years and they check the vehicles out and give estimates before performing work. Their prices have always been reasonable and usually a pleasant surprise.
    They don't pump up the bill with unnecessary repairs and have discouraged us from items that have no effect on the drivability of the vehicle, i.e., a fuel gauge that won't work...they told us could be one of two places and both cost $600 to check out. We just fill the gas tank around 250 miles by the trip odometer.
    We have used Reidville Auto for years, for all of our cars. It was such a relief to find an honest, reasonable shop that understands that we want the cars safe and in decent shape but don't want to empty our bank account doing it.

    Sunroof was leaking and drivers side window has noticeable rattle when driving on most roads.  Left it several hours and they called saying they could find no problems.  I had to drive it through the carwash (less than 200 yds from their door) and had to record on my phone the leaking.  I had fully explained this to them previously.  Took it back and had to leave it another full day to get it repaired.  They can never locate the source of the rattle in the driver window area.  Apparently when I left it the first time to check the leak they had a guy run some water on it with a hose for a few minutes.  Not much effort.

    Mr Dodson asked for payment up front before he would even start work on my car . Afterwards he said if it started leaking oil to bring it back . It was shooting oil immediately after I took posession. Also he had cut the wires to my alarm system which I had to get fixed by another auto repair man who said Quote " Gary should have known better than to do what he did " my alarm was going off and could not be cut off. He also had worked on my Mothers auto and burned her headliner with a cigarette. My Mother's car was kept in immaculate condition. Will never deal with him again. And won't recommend him to anyone I know either.

    Full disclosure, I had a previous bad experience on a different vehicle in which I was told by this provider that a service had been performed when in fact it had not. So I had sworn off this provider until.....
    The 4WD light in my 2001 Ford Explorer began flashing, and I was unable to shift the vehicle into 4WD. After several phone calls to alternate service providers and an internet search, it became clear that only a Ford dealer could interpret the code and repair the problem.
    I took the vehicle to Fairway Ford, whose technicians determined that it needed a new shift linkage motor, the motor that physically shifts the transmission from 2WD mode into 4WD mode. Several hundred dollars later, I picked up the vehicle and lo and behold the 4WD light was still flashing and vehicle still would not shift into 4WD. The explanation provided then was that it was the controller, which would be another $300+. I said, well if the controller's bad, how do I know the motor was bad? I was assured that the motor was definitely bad though the couldn't tell me how they were able to determine that. Then I said, well then was the controller bad before, or could something have happened during installation of the new motor that fried the controller? No satisfactory answer.
    Given my history and general lack of trust with the business, I declined to let them touch the vehicle again and will eventually attempt to find an alternate Ford dealer with whom I can start over.

    I don't recall the specific date, it was a few years ago, but worth sharing.
    I had purchased a new set of four tires from Discount Tire several months prior, and one of the tires had begun leaking. I took the vehicle in, and the technicians determined that there was a nail through the tire near the edge of the sidewall which was not repairable. I had not purchased the road hazard warranty on the tires. The manager Jose determined that the road hazard warranty on all four tires would have cost me less than replacing one tire at full price, and offered to retroactively sell me the road hazard warranty and then replace the tire under warranty.
    It was a thoughtful move to save me money immediately and demonstrate the value of the warranty package. Smart move on his part to think long term of the value of a satisfied and potential return customer!

    For this transaction, he was unable to do anything on the 4WD (which I knew was a dealer-only issue going in); found no leak in the A/C but charged it up with refrigerant; and did not find an issue with the thermostat. He did not charge me for the work because he had the vehicle for so long. However, frankly I had told him it was not urgent as I had an extra vehicle and honestly not enough parking for the vehicles I had after having acquired a new vehicle. Full disclosure, I was taking advantage of free parking.
    But after several transactions here is my assessment:
    1. He does great work and looks for ways to save you money. His labor rate alone beats the pants off any dealer or chain and he knows what he's doing. He'll put good parts in at reasonable prices.
    2. He works alone as far as I can tell, his business is at his home. He is in high demand judging by the number of vehicles present and that it can be hard to get him on the phone. Do not expect to drop off your vehicle in the morning and pick it up that afternoon, but he'll work with you. Generally a few days would be a minimum.
    3. He will work on most any make/model, though his reputation is being very good with Volkswagens.
    In conclusion, I wouldn't bother him for an oil and filter change, but if you need a timing belt or some pretty involved investigation and you can give him a while to work on it, he'll take care of you.

    We have 5 vehicles (2 sports cars, 1 old RV, a pickup truck, and a 2005 PT Cruiser.) We would not ever consider taking any of them anywhere else but Bert's. Bert and Linda Wilkerson and their employees are honest to a fault (if there is such a thing!) and treat every customer with top priority. They never EVER recommend any service that is not absolutely necessary and their prices are more than fair. They stand behind all their work with no qualifications. Bert's is a perfect example of a top-quality, reliable, local business and I strongly encourage anyone who is looking for auto repair service to try Bert's. You'll never go anywhere else!

    They took care of it perfectly. They did a bang up job. He specializes in Honda and Acura. When an air conditioner explodes, you get lots of metal filings and those things will get into the AC line and they had the compressor out and the technician was checking all of the fittings and lines to make sure that there wasn't any metal filings. He volunteered that and told me that they were doing that as part of the process which to me is a mark of professionalism. He physically checked the lines to make sure that there weren't any filings so I didn't end up coming back. That was my first visit and that's where I'm going to be taking my Honda.
