    I have been taking them here for about 2 years. The doctor has a great personality and is really good with my kids. She has a good bedside manner and is very informative. She is happy to answer any questions you have and tries to have any information provided up front. The office staff is very nice and scheduling is not an issue.

    We loved our experience there and we will certainly go back! We recently relocated here and one of my children became ill prior to us getting established with a pediatrician. This practice got us in for an appointment the same day I called.
    The office staff was friendly, the location was great (they have 3 locations), the waiting room was clean and comfortable. They saw us right on time and the medical assistant was great. I LOVED that she washed her hands prior to taking my child's vitals.
    When the doctor came in she washed her hands as well as swabbed off her stethoscope with alcohol! many doctor's don't take the time to do this even though they can spread germs by failing to swab their stethoscope. I really appreciate them being clean and cautious. Their respect for their patient's health really impressed me. I LOVED the doctor we saw (Dr. Diethrich)! I will absolutely use her for our children's primary care physician. She is smart, punctual, professional and really personable. I trust her completely to care for my kids. I feel like she really took the time to listen to our concerns and really consider all the issues prior to making a decision regarding her care. I truly can't say enough great things about her and this practice.
    The only thing I didn't like was that the office staff wanted our social security numbers (at least the primary on the insurance) and although this is common practice in the Charleston area, it is not common on a national level. In fact, in the state we came from it was illegal for them to even request your ss number due to identity protection laws. I'm not sure why requesting social security numbers is still common here but I LOVED that they were willing to re-visit the issue and consider other options.
    I can't say enough great things about this practice and I feel so blessed we found this Dr. Diethrich and this practice!

    I wasn't impressed and I won't be returning. First off there were 3 ladies at the front desk, 1 was busy, 1 was nice and 1 was unprofessional. I ended up having to deal with the unprofessional one. However, to their credit they did get my child in as a new patient the same day I called for an appointment and that part was great.
    We then got to the sick waiting area (they have a sick and a well waiting room which is great but since you all head to the same area from there I'm not sure how value added it is), the waiting area was large but many of the chairs were dirty or stained. We were still waiting in there 25 minutes AFTER our appointment time. Finally the medical assistant came for my child but at the same moment they announced my name over the intercom and requested I come to the front desk. Of course being our first time to the practice I wasn't about to send them back with my child while I went to the front desk. I apologize and say after I go to the front desk I will head back to the room but my child was coming with me. She seemed a bit put off by that but oh well. Then I go to the front desk and the unprofessional woman who paged me wasn't even at the desk, no one knew where she had run off to or why she had paged me. :( So I explain I will be taking my daughter back to see the doctor now and if the woman needed me she could speak to me when I checked out.
    We get back to the room and my child is swabbed for strep throat. I know this procedure is never pleasant but depending on the skill of the person administering the test, it usually isn't too bad. Well the medical assistant was so bad at this my child almost vomited and was left crying with no apology given. Not at all impressed with this! The then medical student comes in and is polite and introduces himself BUT examines my child without washing his hands or swabbing his stethoscope! Again, I'm not impressed and I'm even a bit annoyed since I know that they can transmit germs this way and as a medical professional I expect more, we are paying for this and quot;serviceand quot;. The student was very nice and will likely make a good doctor but that doesn't excuse lack of proper precautions.
    Then the doctor comes in (aprox. 45 minutes after our appointment time) he apologizes which is nice and proper but still doesn't change the fact that he is close to an hour late for our appointment. He also fails to wash his hands or stethoscope. :( He was very nice and seemed like a great guy but by then I had already made the decision that we wouldn't be back. Maybe this was an off day and maybe this isn't the standard of care that typically given. Its possible that because they were running late they didn't take the time to wash up. I don't know but based on our overall experience with the dirty waiting room, medical assistant being rough, doctor running close to an hour late and not washing his hands or stethoscope and the lady at the front desk being unprofessional, we won't be coming back. PS. Because my child was so sick I had to take them to another doctor the next day.
