    Line-X Of Greenville

I dropped my Jeep off to have the cab coated with Line-X before going out of town for a business trip, so this particular franchise had the vehicle for an extended amount of time. Upon return a week later, the services hadn't even begun when we'd agreed that the time they'd have the vehicle would be sufficient to complete the job. After following up with them myself (no proactive contact by anyone at the franchise), I was finally told that my vehicle was ready. Upon arrival and inspection, the work was far below acceptable and there were smooth, glossy areas where the textured step in the process hadn't been applied correctly and there were a few noticeable areas where they'd failed to coat the cab at all. I would not accept the vehicle as it was and the employee apologized and said the work would be corrected. A few more days went past and no call from the franchise, so I again followed up. As with the time before, later that day I was told the vehicle was ready. Upon arrival and inspection, the employee was on a personal call for the first 10 minutes of the visit, so I stood around in their garage until he wrapped up his conversation. Sadly, as with the time before, the work was still unacceptable and they hadn't even attempted to re-coat the bare spots pointed out from the last visit. I had no choice again but to leave the vehicle with them so they could have a third attempt to do the work properly. The following business day I contacted the franchise owner and told him about my experience and asked that he personally inspect the vehicle to ensure the work was to his satisfaction before they contact me again. I received a call the next day that the vehicle was ready and upon arrival and inspection I was okay with the work done.
Later, however, in better light I realized that the work really wasn't satisfactory as the finish isn't uniform in the front and the rear. Also, they failed to put my door strikers back on and when I called them about it they had no idea where they were. I never returned to thier location to find out about my door strikers or to discuss the finish on the coating because I have absolutely zero faith that they are capable of providing satisfactory work or that they might make good on my door strikers. Overall, the finished product doesn't look bad (about an 8 out of 10, if you don't look closely or inspect it with any great detail) but its is far from what I would consider to be professional. When you add in the cost I had to pay to replace the door strikers, the value really isn't there.
I did speak to their regional manager about what happened, who was nice enough, but I never got a sense that he cared much about my experience. He mentioned several times during our call that I got a great pricepoint, which I took to mean that for the price I shouldn't be too disappointed in the mediocre services provided. When I initially delivered my Jeep to the franchise, I had already removed the passenger seat, the rear seat, all of the carpet and padding, the rear seat belts, and had vacuumed the entire interior. A friend of mine, the one who referred me to Line-X of Greenville (and from whom I should collect 50% of what I paid!), brought his Jeep to them without removing anything at all and the price was identical? They cut a sizeable hole in his top by accident while it was in their shop and had to replace the damaged section.
At the end of the day, if you're looking for an okay job to be done on someone else's schedule and you're not going to be too particular about the overall the value of the service you're buying, then this location may suit your needs. However, if you appreciate your vehicle and you're looking for better value, better service, better professionalism, and an overall better experience then you should consider investing the time and effort to visit Line-X of Anderson (or any other Line-X franchise). I'd also caution you to be proactive in discussing the products and services you'll be getting BEFORE you commit as this particular franchise offered nothing at all up front in the way of product descriptions or an explanation of the services they'd be rendering.

We obtained three estimates and found that Mauldin Paint and Body shop provided the best estimate. We scheduled the work to be done and anticipated the job to take 4-5 days. Took the car to the shop on Monday and by Wednesday the work was completed.
This shop did an excellent job and the car looks like it just came off the showroom floor with the paint perfectly matching the rest of the car. There was another small scratch on the front fender which the shop repaired at no additional charge. The office staff was very professional.
