    Things went fine; there were no problems. Once you get in there it takes forever. You have a wait of several hours, that is the problem. Once you get there the treatment is fine, but they got so inaccessible we don't go to them anymore. The office environment is fine.

    The staff was very friendly upon my arrival, greeted me right away and made sure to get the paperwork all squared away so that I wouldn't have to worry about it later. I arrived on time for my appointment but it was a bit after that I actually saw the doctor (at least a 20-30 minute wait), so that was a bit disappointing but comparable to other ob/gyn's I've seen (since a baby arriving can throw off a doctor's day!). Overall the checkup was great, it was my first time meeting with this doctor so he did a very thorough job of going through my medical history and discussing concerns/related issues.
    The only reason I rated lower on the availability was that I was given a medicine that I had an adverse reaction to, and when I tried to contact the doctor's office to find out what to do (I was out of town and wanted to get an opinion as to if I should seek emergency care or just wait until I was back in town), I had a very hard time trying to get someone to talk to about the situation. I finally just went to an urgent care center in the town I was in, and they were able to reach my doctor to discuss the reaction and decide a plan of action. So, I would have liked to have been able to reach them more quickly in the second situation.

    I just moved to the area not that long ago and needed a new general practitioner. I found Dr. Edsall at Clemson Family Practice via Angie's List and thought he would be worth checking out because the office is very close to my home. Dr. Edsall has a wonderful beside manner and was very easy to talk with. He did a great job of thoroughly covering my family and medical history and discussing my concerns/current health issues. I felt very comfortable with him and really felt that he put me at ease. He truly cares about his patients and wants to provide the best care possible, especially making sure to really listen to his patients and their concerns. The nurse who got me all set up prior to meeting with Dr. Edsall was also fantastic, polite and very well organized. 
    The only issue I have had with the practice in general is coordinating visits and billing. It took almost 3 months to set up my new patient visit, and they called twice to reschedule a followup appointment. They also did not process my first bill correctly, which I didn't find out until my insurance denied the claim and I had to follow up with them to find out why.
    Overall, Dr. Edsall is fantastic, you may have to be patient with the administrative side of the practice, but he is worth it!

    I love Dr. Walsh, Dr. Branyon, and all of the other personnel at Five Star Family Medical. I have been a patient of Dr. Walsh for more than 10 years, since he first came to this area and am always impressed by his knowledge and his compassion. Furthermore, I am impressed by his technological enthusiasm and expertise - moving easily into the twenty-first century (and beyond) with his embracing of advances in technology (such as keeping all his records on computer and printing out instructions and prescriptions instead of hand-writing everything - even before being required to do so). He also keeps current on medical research and advancements, which directly benefits his patients.
    The downside of all this wonderfulness is that he is increasingly busy and harder to get in touch with. Calling the office for anything (appointment, questions, etc.) is something of an ordeal and can result in long waits. Getting messages and information can occasionally be haphazard. Lines of communication seem to break down somewhere around the reception area.

    My experience from the beginning starting in July 2012 has been good. Dr. Baumgarten has a very good bed side manner. He seems to care and will listen when you have a question. Since he is so busy, when you have a question, you have to ask him before he gets out the door. But he will stop and lean back against the table and listen. Which is something that means a lot to me. I have had my last lubricant shot in the knee joint and am hoping it will work. I have to go back in 6 wks to let him know how it is doing. Praying for a good report.

    I've been going here for 1 1/2 years. They are very knowledgeable which is good for a doctor. They are very respectful. They seem generally concerned about my health issues. It is not an assembly line where they rush me through. They take their time and they talk to me. They understand where I am coming from. It is all good. They have done well.
