    Lexington Pet Lodge
We cannot say enough great things about this place, as I would not just leave my four legged babies anywhere. The facility is clean, secure with cameras, etc. , professionally staffed, great and secure fenced in areas. On top of making sure veterinarian records were updated. Medicine given daily. Megan is awesome and really cares and remembers all our babies. We have used them for years and will in the next month. Grooming is great too.

SC Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care
Its the only one. Its not a regular vet, like where you would take them if they were sick. Im not sure how I feel about the price. In addition to the $4000 we had about an additional $1800 worth of chemo to go through. I think that you have to be prepared to spend that kind of money. I know the doctors do what they can. They gave us the choice, what to do with the disposition of the dog. This was already a 12 year old, so I could understand if someone chose another path, of euthanasia; but we chose to try to save the dog, so we ended up with that kind of money in. It worked. Were very pleased, but its been very expensive. I just dont know how to grade the price. They tell you what youre getting in to, going in, but its a very emotional decision. I dont think its an F by any means because its expensive, but they ARE expensive. The treatment is expensive, the medicine is expensive. I guess an A, but I would say the cost needs to be reflective in the narrative, because people need to know. I just want people to know that your surgery is going to cost, the chemo is going to cost. The total bill is going to end up around 6 grand. The great part is it worked! It was successful, they know what they are doing. This is where George Bush took Barney the beagle. To this same emergency veterinary care. Shes great. People come from all over. It just happens to be in my hometown. You just have to know what you are getting in to. Its worth it if you have the money. I dont know if they offer payment plans on these types of services. They treat our pets with love and tenderness. We discovered them when a pet of ours had bitten a fishing plug, The normal veterinary offices are closed are the weekends. We discovered this place when we had an accident with the dog trying to eat a fish plug and had all the hooks in its mouth. So when we discovered the cancer with our other dog, we decided to go to that vet and we went to the right place, because they had a dog oncologist.

They do great work. Great care for the dogs, for what they do. Kind of like going to a general physician/family practice or going to a surgeon, that's kind of the difference. They do services for our dog, for wellness care, heart worm treatment/preventative care, thinning else they need, vaccines. They are A across the board. Three best qualities are location, friendliness of the staff and the doctors. If it is a sickness of some sort, such as loose stools or some other problem that the dog may have, they take them the same day.

    Lexington Animal Clinic
We have taken our dog to Dr. Gilbert since he was a puppy. We were initially very impressed with the care and compassion from Dr. Gilbert. She genuinely seemed to care about our dog. Unfortunately, as time progressed it clearly became more about money than animal care. The care and compassion was no longer top priority. Every single time we took our dog, there was a new "additional fee" for one thing or another. We literally could not leave without spending at least $3-400!! The final straw was when we called on Saturday during office hours very concerned about our dog and needed him to be seen. We were told they could "work us in" at 10:00 BUT, there would be an additional $40 fee for the work in. How can they give an appointment time and call it a work in to begin with ?? We do not mind paying for quality care, but this last incident really let us know they are more concerned with milking you for everything they can than they are about the care of their patients. This was very disheartening to us because we truly love and care about our dog like he is one of our children.

TLC Home Pet Sitting & Services
TLC was a very professional company their prices are very competitive! They were prompt and followed my necrotic directions. Everything was done to perfection! Her grooming is magnificent and my dogs love going there. I recommend TLC to anyone needing cleaning and pet services. We just LOVE her!!!

    Paws and Claws Animal Clinic
My dog hated going to this clinic. She suffered for two weeks before dying a horrible death. It only took two weeks to kill her. Please find another vet. I like Midlands or Chapin Animal clinic, Dr. Lab.

I selected this business because of location and YELP coupon/discount for new customers.

When I dropped the dog off, I mentioned I found a coupon online.  She said to print it out and bring it when I picked him up.  When I came to get the dog,  she wouldn't honor the coupon!  She examined it very carefully and said something was wrong, that she offers a $5 discount to new customers,  but this coupon represented a $10 off deal --" this doesn't look right, this must have been altered/changed."   She was very firm, examining the coupon and looking at me over the top of the paper.... like I was presenting a counterfeit coupon.  She made NO attempt to help resolve this.   She said something was "fishy" about this -- she was very cold and insinuating I did something wrong.  She never suggested it could be a mistake... she intentionally made me feel like I was trying to cheat her!

I did not try to argue with her, just asked for my coupon back and paid the bill.  After this awkward and confrontational experience, it would have been nice if she at least offered the "$5 discount for new customers"   But it is apparent she is not a nice owner.

I expect she followed up with YELP to report the mistake or confirm the coupon.  If she did, she learned --  that I was not trying to rip her off, she was too quick to judge me, and she made a mistake. You think she would call to apologize?

YELP did refund my money for the coupon purchase and responded to my inquiry whether this is a valid coupon and if the owner was aware of the deal.  Here is the YELP response --   Thanks for your message. To confirm, these Yelp Deals offers are set up by the Business Owners themselves.   Yelp Deals, Gift Certificates, and Check-In Offers are self-serve products, which means that Yelp doesn't and won't post these on a business' behalf. These promotions can only be posted via a Yelp Business Account.

This was not a happy place.  Neither of the employees smiled, was friendly, or seemed comfortable in this environment. There are many choices for pet grooming and boarding in this area.  I encourage you look for a place that is warm and welcoming   If you don't feel comfortable there, it isn't likely to be a much better experience for your pet.

    Paws and Claws Animal Clinic
The lower spectrum costs led to a great savings for rescue. That made this practice quite desirable for my group as well as ma y others. However, it quickly became clear this office is extremely unorganized. Multiple scheduled appts were rescheduled due to their mistakes. Medicine was ordered in the wrong dosages (per their staffs statements). Messages were not relayed or calls returned. Payments were applied to incorrect dogs. And after multiple visits to the clinic and speaking with the Dr personally about problems, not only were they not corrected, but he doesn't even remember speaking to me. The odor both inside of strong urine, and outside where staff, including Dr. constantly smoke right by the front door was overwhelming. To add insult to injury, when I shares my personal experiences (and those of friends) the Dr. contacted me and made threats to press legal charges. I can not strongly enough suggest that your pet is worth more than the savings you will receive at this clinic.

The young ladies in reception did not appear to care about my dog when I dropped him off and picked him up. They asked no questions about his needs, or what I was leaving with him. When I picked him up, I commented about the yellow vomit on his bed, and the young ladies only said, "oh, didn't see that, we should have washed it." When I got my dog home, he was very thirsty and starving. They only fed him half of the food I sent with him. I will never board a pet there again.

My dog Chase whom is nervous of people loves going to Blue Ribbon. The service is excellent and the best part is Chase loves the people at Blue Ribbon Pet Salon. I like that I can feel comfortable that he is not stressed for his grooming!!!
