Top of the Line Painting, LLC
Top Line did a wonderful job painting our interior walls in every room. They were very efficient and always showed up on time, with at least three of their crew working all day with a short break for lunch. I think this job would have taken much longer by many other companies. We highly recommend them.

    Easy Does It Home Improvement
Greg Martin is an excellent contractor/manager. He, his employees and his subcontractors maintained a smoke free, cuss-free presence. The quality of his crew's work was well above average to exceptional. Greg is an excellent communicator and throughout the four week renovation located many items that while not part of the stated contract did meet the stated goals of an inclusive renovation and correction of all discovered faults. His advice was sound and he would include alternatives that met the goals I had described. This renovation was of a 1,394 SF ranch home built in 1970 that had a partial renovation in 2004. All drywall was smoothed and imperfections removed. Areas with paneling were removed and replaced with drywall. Ceilings were scraped as needed and all walls and ceilings were first sealed then repainted in three coats and ceiling "popcorn" was applied for a uniform finish. All HVAC grills were cleaned and replaced with new including two return air filtered vents and two passive pass-through vents. A 400 SF family room addition (not included in home SF above) was treated to perfected wall surface, priming and painting. Moldings throughout the home were darkly stained oak. All moldings were either replaced or sealed and painted, likewise all doorframes. Both common and master bathrooms had all fixtures removed and plumbing relocated as needed prior to reinstalling fixtures. Many fixtures were new as well as new lighting. Excellent appearance and useability after completion. Kitchen and dining area flooring had a number of layers of floor finishes. These were removed to a common height, leveled and smoothed with some subfloor replaced due to age. All cabinets were removed for renovation, walls repaired with some drywall replacement. Walls were smoothed primed and painted as throughout the home. New cabinets were installed as well as countertops that permitted installation of new appliances. There were significant issues with plumbing in the kitchen that were resolved by relocating supply and drains to a new location and reinstalling. The overall fit and finish of the home was vastly improved by Greg Martin and his workers with Easy Does It Home Improvement. I whole heartedly endorse this crew for any home improvement - large or small.

    Sanchez Paint
I can not speak highly enough about this company. I have to say they are the hardest working people I have ever hired to doing painting on the interior of my homes. I have had them out three time and they have always done a great job. I called them at the last minute Saturday concerning an issue with my ceiling in the master bedroom and the showed up right away and really went above and beyond the call to fix my master bedroom ceiling. I feel the prices are awesome and will continue to use them to finish the few rooms I have left to paint. I save enough and them call them out to do the painting because I do not want to charge anything and the have been fine once I know I have saved the money to complete a project the are right on the ball. I highly recommend them to others. They are courteous and always leave areas clean and tidy.

I called to request a quote and I received an immediate response and the job was quoted the very next day. The price was fair and the work could begin immediately. The painters took care to protect furniture and floors. They worked hard and quietly. The job was done in about 3 days as quoted. The quality of the painting was excellent. They cleaned up upon completion. The owner Daniel was very prompt in all communications and was very professional. We are very satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend them to others. We hope to use them again in the future to paint a fireplace.

    Rainbow International Restoration of Columbia
The Rainbow team was very responsive when others were weeks behind. The water mitigation team was fast, efficient and thorough. The reconstruction team was equally as efficient, thorough and professional. Very pleased with the whole team, the follow up and the quality. Would definitely call Rainbow International again.

    Robert's Painting Services
Excellent. I called Robert to come to review work in my home and give me an estimate. He came the next day and emailed me a quote the day after. Stated he had been in business for 40 years and used his own employees. I could tell he was very professional and gave him the job immediately. I asked him to come back out to my home to pick the colors for the repainting of the two bathrooms. He came the following day, I picked the colors for the repainting for him to purchase. It was a two day job. First day, the wallpaper had to be removed and mud put on the walls to sand down and set overnight to dry. Robert himself made some minor wall paper repairs in the kitchen on the first day. The two employees that removed the wallpaper and repainted the bathrooms the next day were very polite and professional and cleaned up both days before they left. One of his workers was his supervisor who had been with his company 19 years and his brother who had also been with him many years. Robert came "exactly" on time for all our appointments and his two workers also showed up "exactly" on time as promised each day. (I was lucky to find Roberts Wallpaper Removal and Painting service on Angies List). In addition on the second day they put on "two coats" of paint. One that morning and then went to lunch and that afternoon it was ready for the second coat. They finished at the end of the second day as Robert had promised. I can give Robert Bates and his company Roberts Painting the highest rating A+. They came on time, did the work exactly as quoted and did a most professional job. I am 100% satisfied with their work and will hire them in the future to do more inside painting work in my home. Both baths look like brand new with the 20 year old wallpaper down and beautiful new paint on the walls. (Great job and work all the way)!!!

Carolina Painting and Pressure Cleaning, Inc.
A definite NO for this company. I've spent $200,000 in renovations over the last 15 years, and the owner, Kevin, is the worst person I have ever had to deal with. Rude, argumentative, after his initial shoddy work is questioned, like it's my fault, not his workers. His workers even argued with us when we questioned again, shoddy work. I have pics but cannot post. The customer should always be right, he does not have this work ethic. I expected a turn key, no hassle job, just do it right the first time, not rudeness or arguments. Language barrier with his workers. First 2 days, did NOT ventilate our house, and NEVER warned or notified us of the hazards, (our lungs are still irritated) or asked us to leave, look at the warning label on the Sherwin William paint he used. Sher-Wood-precat lacquer, low gloss white, lacquer 7556 crme. Here are the precautions in quotes: "Danger" "highly flammable liquid and vapor" "causes skin irritation" "causes serious eye irritation" "may cause respiratory irritation" "may cause drowsiness or dizziness" "may cause cancer" "causes damage to organs" "use explosion proof electrical, ventilating and lighting" "take precautionary measures against static discharge" "do not breathe vapor" "use only outdoors or in a well ventilated area" If inhaled: "remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing" "call poison control or physician if you feel unwell" Delayed effects from long term overexposure: "contains solvents which can cause permanent brain and nervous system damage" "for industrial use only" - "contains formaldehyde, a potential cancer hazard" "refer to SDS for additional information" Inadequate sealing off of work area. Paint dust particles were all over the living area of the house. Kitchen curtains never covered, paint particles on them, if they asked us to remove them we would have. House was a total mess. -Nail holes from hinges were not filled in before spraying, were filled in after with caulk. Can see nail holes and caulk smears on finish and finish does not match rest of cupboards, not the same sheen. Where they sanded and hand painted, is the different sheen. -Grout line on floor has paint and or caulk on it as result of poor tape job. -Kitchen doors do not meet as they did previously, with current concealed hinges. Large gaps. -Kitchen doors were not puttied/caulked before spray painting at shop. Can see crack lines intermittently on every door at seam. Where the detail wood work meets the main door. -Chips in paint, missed spots, poor tape job. -Damaged/marred ceramic tile by island. -Employee put on old hardware handle because he said the screws were too short. Get longer screw. Old hardware/handles are missing. I had to point this out to them, instead of them doing it correctly the first time. I just wanted them to remedy as best they could to get them the **** out of my house. I would have fired them after I saw their initial work, but my wife asked me not to. We did not want to micro-manage at all, but when we saw initially their work, we had to get on them to do it right. Conflict after conflict, and they made it seem like it's my fault. They said we were hard to deal with. Well all we asked for was a perfect job from the start, which he said he'd do. Yes, after arguing, things were adjusted, corrected, not perfect, but should not have got to this point. They were Brutal. Never again, and no recommendation, call me if you want to see pics.

Triangle Arts Painting & Pressure Washing
Initially met with Dan back in late March / April and arranged a date for mid / late summer to do the work. He provided a quote for the work after our initial meeting in a few days and stuck with that quote all the way up to having the work completed. Dan completed the work in about 5 business days which worked fine with our schedules and per his initial estimates. He gave us a recommended paint to help go over the contractor grade paint used that didn't allow for easy cleanup or scuff removal. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the work performed. Dan took his time to do the job right correcting small irregularities in the wall prior to painting and taking time to place drop cloths accordingly to prevent speckles of paint getting on our dark floors from paint rolling. I've included a close up picture of the wall meeting some kitchen cabinetry. Anyone who's ever done painting or had sub par work performed on their house knows that the details of painting is what separate the pros from the bargain guys. In this particular picture and everywhere, there are clean lines with no paint runs or bleed over onto trim, cabinets, storage racks, wall plates, etc. His work doing a drywall repair over a part of our ceiling was outstanding. I've included a picture of before and after. I did an initial repair of this ceiling myself knowing the challenges and not getting an outcome near as polished as Dan did. At this point it appears as if there was never any repair completed which is a testament to how well it looks. I'd recommend and use again without any hesitation.

    Take Pride Construction and Painting
Was fortunate enough to find this company on Angie's List and hired them originally to smooth popcorn ceilings, demo kitchen and basically put it back together. The scope of work quickly grew to include a complete rehab including cabinetry, flooring, 2 bathroom renovations, tile work, fencing and deck work. They work hard, show up on time and clean up after themselves which is hard to find these days! I am very happy with their work and have already hired them again,

    LA Roofing LLC
Discovered roof was leaking when we saw damage from inside the home. Called LA Roofing because of their positive posts, and they were quick to respond. Took photos and video of roof showing extensive hail damage. Suggested I contact my insurance company before proceeding. Placed tarp on damaged area. They arrived on time and placed tarp around house - clean up after the job was completed was excellent and remarkable. Everything was done to my satisfaction each step of the way. This was one of the hardest working crews I have ever seen. They care about the job they do and go the extra mile. They painted white vents black to match the roof and placed ridge cap on areas to ensure roof looked symmetrical. All communications were excellent and timely every step of the way. The professionalism of the company personnel at all levels was impressive. I would not hesitate to contact them again. Excellent work on roof, inside repairs, and repairs to a/c unit from hair damage - all inclusive. My insurance company commented on how easy LA Roofing was for them to work with as well. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them highly.
