    Goins Construction LLC
Very happy does not even begin to describe how we felt about the job Tim and his crew did. He was always here on time and would keep us posted each week on what days he would be here. Tim was also very good about returning phone calls. We had several companies give us a price for the same services and his prices were the most fair. We had 25 windows replaced and the wood around each window frame wrapped. He did an excellent job and the windows are so very efficient. We can already see a difference in our electric bill. He also installed two exterior door units. We are very pleased with the job he did on installing them. We changed out our wooden porch rails for rails we did not ever have to paint. They are beautiful and again he and his crew did a great job. We have a wrap around porch that is high off the ground. We also have a split steps going up to the porch. The wood had rotted on some of the steps and he replaced and painted the steps also. We are so very happy with the job he did on these. He also replaced the siding inside our screened porch. It looks so much better with the new siding. Tim is a very honest person and did extra things for us that he just noticed needed to be done. He was always responsive and the quality of his work is exceptional. We will definitely use him again for any work we need done.

I couldn't be more pleased with Dan and his crew of Jake and Paul, plus others as needed. They were neat, confining dirt and dust from the rest of the house. They even cleaned up everything before leaving each night. They used my ideas and made them better by pointing me to experts to help me pick out coordinating tile and bathroom fixtures and showing me how things could be better. They used the existing too large shower stall and left a newly tiled shower with glass doors and added a linen closet. What a bonus (Jake's idea.) They replaced the bathtub, retiled the floor, raised the existing cabinetry, added granite tops with ceramic sinks, installed new plumbing and faucets, raised the tv to needed height, hid the wiring inside the walls and added new electrical outlets where needed and new vent fans in the shower and water closet. The room is beautiful and the work masterful. These are great people who truly wanted me to be happy. I tried to keep my interference to a minimum but if there was some small thing I found displeasing , maybe once, they were happy to redo something that other people would never notice. These are people with great hearts and it shows in their attitudes and attention to detail. Highly recommended for bathrooms and any other project you might need.

    Rennison Roofing and Exteriors, LLC
The owner came to the house, reviewed all options from catalogs and on line, then took measurements for the door we wanted. Rennison scheduled a full day for installation; from 9:30AM to 5:00PM. It did take the entire time, because the workers were very careful and meticulous during all parts of the removal and installation. The ProVia door fit like a glove, and looks great. We are very pleased with the help in selecting the door, and the care taken during installation. Very good company. They work with you.

JIM DANDY to the rescue, LLC
Clay was great! He was easy to communicate with via text and able to send me estimates from the pictures of the projects I sent to him. He was quick to return detailed quotes and was always on time for his work. He did such a great job with the initial items we needed done that we had him back a couple of weeks later for a whole new list of items. I felt completely comfortable having him in our home and didn't feel the need to supervise his work. He wouldn't let us pay until his was completely finished with each list. We will definitely use him for all of our handyman needs! We are glad we have someone we can rely on.

    Window World of Columbia
On the 22nd of Sept. 2015 window world called and told my mom her door was in and they would arrive on the 23rd to install it. When the installers arrived, they had a glass door which is not what she ordered. She called Window World and the lady told her that she should go ahead and take it and that "she would really like it." My mom told her the door was for her shed and that she did not want a glass door and that it was not what she ordered. So the two installers spoke to the women on the phone and she told them to get another door. So the installers went to lunch and ......get this....stopped by Lowes and picked up a door off the shelf to be installed where the special order door was supposed to go. I did not know that Lowes carried such a wide range of special order doors in stock. The men returned and installed the door they picked up from Lowes. Window World still charged her $2000.00 for the door. . My mom contacted the Window World today and the sales lady who ordered the door talked to her. Mom told her that she wanted some of her money back and the lady at the store proceeded to dicker with her over a refund. They finally settled on a refund of $900.00. The actual cost would not exceed more than $500.00.
Elderly and anyone else please beware when dealing with this store.

I am extremely satisfied with the completed job. The conversion from tub/shower to shower stall only with handicap features is exactly what I wanted. It looks great and gives my bathroom an updated appearance. Adam Steptoe is an experienced contractor with lots of know-how in different areas of home renovation. He was always professional and pleasant to deal with on a daily basis. I would definitely hire him again and recommend his company to others.

    The Improvement Co
*BAD experience!* 3 hours late for a scheduled appointment! Not even a simple phone call from them to advise that they were running late. Two very unprofessional-looking young guys eventually rolled up to the front door 3 hours late with no manners, no apologies, only a bunch of lame ignorant excuses. One of them said: "This ain't on us. It's our manager's fault." The owner of The Improvement Company ought to do some IMPROVEMENT of his own and discharge the jokers he has currently representing him; they are giving The Improvement Company a really *BAD* reputation. The Improvement Company Lexington Columbia SC = FAIL

    Precision Garage Door Service
Technician was onsite to provide estimate same day I called,  Brian assessed my doors and outlined options.  Work was done the next day.  Brian called before he came each time, either giving his ETA or telling me he was on the way.  He worked very methodically and the quality of installation was excellent.  He provided training on the opener operation and suggested a maintenance schedule.  He programed all of the controls and even the built-in controls in my car.  He was most professional and I could not be happier with the experience.  We will certainly do business with this company again.

They did a great job! Adam Steptoe is very easy to work with and responds quickly to any questions or requests. The areas they patched perfectly matches the rest of the ceiling. Already have plans to use them again.

    Precision Garage Door Service

When the garage door broke I called Precision Door Service and was able to set up an appointment for the next day. The technician arrived as promised and diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes. The technician indicated that the door had the improper springs and tension and the rollers were wearing out prematurely. He recommended the overhaul package at a price of $569. In addition he indicated that the door did not have the proper bracket connecting the door to the garage door opener and that would be an additional $69. He described what he would do for this package and we agreed to the package since it came with a lifetime warranty. Otherwise repairs would be covered for 90 days. In about 1 hour the technician had installed new parts and repaired the door so that it functioned properly. We were pleased with the work and that it was carried out in a professional manner. There is one aspect of the repair that can be improved and that relates to the cost estimate and paying for the work. During the process you are not given anything written down that indicates what work will be done and what the cost will be. So when we went to pay for the service we expected a price of about $640 and we were surprised to find out that it was $718.Upon questioning, the technician indicated that when he initially looked at the door he replaced some cables which accounted for the higher price. When we paid the technician, we found out that all of the paperwork was electronic on a tablet computer and not available for us to review. The technician quickly explained a couple of screens that we had to sign electronically and the company would email us an invoice. When I received the invoice electronically the next day, it did not indicate that there was a lifetime warranty on the parts and in fact the small print indicated that without a statement of lifetime warranty everything was warrantied for 90 days. I emailed the company back and they did revise the invoice to indicate a limited lifetime warranty. I think the company can do a much better job of reviewing cost estimates, receipt for payment, and providing some written material to the customer so they have a thorough understanding of what they are getting for a particular price.

My suggestion is to not agree to any repairs until the technician can provide you with a written estimate.
